Ok..last brag!!

These aren't great, but they are from last night, when it was night and you could see the lighting better

ok, scare me off, you can't. The boxed wine was a heep beeg blow and the brown thumb thingy just about did me in - BUT I'm a might bit stronger than that

Glad Anna shared her info. I knew I'd forget half of it if I tried to relay it. She was all smiles and soooo relaxed. Like she'd been away from her 3 kids or sumthin'. WDW and a DCL cruise. Maybe we should try it.

Mumsy's party was beeg success. The slide show I made for her was the hit of the party. Made Grandpa cry (mushy old guy - just love him to death, I do). Party aftermath is always hard but what can you do. Mumsy only turns 60 once. Can I go on vacation now?

One more PTA project to finish up this week and I'm done for the year. Why is it that 726 kids go to Cassie's school and the same 6 moms do all the work? Oh well, this fundraiser raised $4000 for the school. That's a lot of balls** and jump ropes for the little midgets.:rotfl2:

** leave it alone, Betsy

HEY!! Kate won 3rd place in the science fair for 3rd grade catagory!! WOOHOO!!

You know, I'm really surprised that none of you have made any cracks about my screen name yet! :lmao:

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who takes pictures of stuff around the house to share with ppl whenever we do something to it. We finished our basement last summer - talk about a bunch of pictures of work in progress! Whew boy! I'm afraid the basement project put me way behind for this years gardening efforts too as we were busy working down there painting etc. So the shrubs didn't get their end of summer pruning & the weeds didn't get pulled...UGGG. I'm so-o out of shape & so sore today and I am nowhere near done! I got a good start out there yesterday but I started with the easiest stuff. The landscaper our builder used to put in the shrubs out front overplanted by about a doz. or so shrubs (we have 25) so it's a big bed... Then I have several perennial beds that I must get to SOON. I probably should've started with those as the plants are starting to come up & several need divided. I will do all of the trees last since they need to be re-edged & that takes work (I've been threatened that if I dig any more holes I will have to start mowing as DH is tired of having to go around stuff!! :rotfl: ) But let me tell ya, I was ready for some of that boxed wine when I came in last nite! :rotfl2:

My other big project is my pond - which will take an entire day - winter is too cold here so I have to shut it down in the fall - now I have to catch my fish & put them in a big tub & drain it & clean all of the muck out & refill it & get it all hooked back up & running again. I need the weather to be nice enough tho to play in that cold water all day - cross your fingers for April 6 to be perfect as I have taken a day off to hopefully get it done!

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: Don't know about anyone else, but it did occur to me!

:rolleyes1 I was trying to be a good and polite girl! :lmao:

Since you brought it up..........why did you pick that user name?

Kate's project was how salt effected the boiling point of water...we did it the night before it was due because Rick and I procrastinated for so long!

What about your name, Annie??:confused3

Not for the reasons I think that most people imagine!:rotfl2:

There are 2 actually...
One, my name is really LeeAnn - but my family calls me Annie.
The other is because I'm a bit anal retentive....disfunctionally so sometimes...:lmao: Love a reason to make a spreadsheet!! :rotfl:

Tell me about this project...I think we have a science fair coming up sometime after spring break...but I haven't seen anything about it in the backpack yet! Last time we did light reflections & refractions...lots of mirrors & laser lights...

oh so easy!!

boil 1 qt of water and take the temp..this is your control
add 1 tbsp of salt...temp rises and boil point does too
add another 1 tbsp of salt...temp rises again and boils..

very easy and she got 3rd!

although, I should protest..the girl who got 2nd place had a bucket and other ancillary items..this was strictly against the rules..so how she got 2nd, I dont know...

I am not sure that we would be allowed to boil water all day tho...did you use a hot plate or something? It would eventually boil dry too wouldn't it?

they weren't allowed to have a working experiment..this was a 3 sided display..that is why I think that other person should have been disqualified. everythings was suppose to be attached to the board

AHHHHH!! We do the board AND a working experiment! They sit with their projects like all day and give demos I think while the other students come thru - then they have a couple of hours in the evening that they're "open" for families to come & walk thru....so I don't think the boiling water thing would work for us! But good idea! Glad you did well (I mean glad SHE did well...) :rotfl:

Gotta go cook some brats for dinner......
