ROFL! I missed that comment. Thanks for pointing it out Betsy.

And funny story too. :rotfl:

OK Friend Cheri and everyone else really... remember back when you so cleverly put together your engineering, geometry math geek type problem/graphic to help Neil understand the "we must go on a cruise" philosophy? (if you are catching up it's posted here somewhere I believe in the early on posts you can go back and read it and then know about that which we speak)

OK, so does this mean you still don't have him convinced to go on the cruise yet?!:confused3 Have you told him that the price will only go UP?!

Spent most of last nite in a party store - with DS trying to pick out a halloween costume...:headache: His decision making process is as bad or worse than mine! We had zombie # 1, zombie # 2 and ghoul # 1 spread out all over the place. We sat on the bottom shelf facing the 3 of them with our chins in our hands for a very, very long time. We tried on the masks, we looked in the mirror. We sat & we stared some more. We finally narrowed it to 1 zombie & the ghoul. Then he starts telling me that I should just pick one! Well. You know I wouldn't pick the RIGHT one....so I refused. So we sat & stared some more. We must've been in this store for close to 1 1/2 hours!!:sad2: So now he finally picks the zombie and says "I wonder if they'll still have this other one next year". Uhhh. Yeah. They will buddy. Whew! This is sort of our first year trying to be something scary. No more cute & cuddly!! I think he was honestly trying to figure out which costume was the scariest looking.

Been trying to find a Nintendo Wii for DS for Xmas....not going so good....everybody sells out the day they get them....so now I'm watching some Ebay auctions :surfweb: .... I'm afraid if I wait much longer it will only get worse..........better to suck it up & buy it early than risk not finding it, right? Just don't know how much of the accessory crap we need to buy too. It's worse than buying a house - everything's an option! Anybody out there got any experience / advice on the Wii?!

I just got the Wii yesterday and i think its a pretty cool game it came with a nintendo sports package disc with golf, bowling, baseball, tennis and boxing, I also bought Tiger Woods 08 and it pretty realistic, the remote acts as a golf club, you swing just like you would a regular club, i love it

:wave2: Hi Tim! Hi Johnna! Hi Katie! Hi Annie! Hi Sean! :wave2:

Go away Betsy.

:rotfl: :rotfl:

:rotfl: We have the orig. Xbox, the GameCube, the PS2 and 1 DS. But we're finding that the game selections are geared more to the newer systems now...so we thought it was time to get the Wii for DS for Xmas. I have been calling the closest 2 Targets, 2 Best Buys & 1 Circuit City every day to check their stock. But I just found a bundle deal still in stock online @ Walmart - it's a LOT but it includes a BUNCH of accessories - those 5 sports games + extra controllers & numchucks & a wireless remote pkg with 9 more games + your choice of 3 "REAL" games! With shipping it's like $578!!:scared1: But the stupid games are $50 each....and I know the basic system is $250 IF you can find it....but I know we'd end up buying most of this crap anyway....so I think we just might go ahead & order this one...............We're nuts.....but I hear they're very cool..... Enjoy yours Sean!!:thumbsup2

Then he starts telling me that I should just pick one! Well. You know I wouldn't pick the RIGHT one....so I refused.

:lmao: :rotfl2:

How old is he again? This sounds just like DD.

And no - not convinced on cruise. I must save the $$ then we can go. I am trying the "allowance" approach. You know where I only get $200 a month to spend on "junk" not to include food, gasoline and household items. Maybe I can get some extra money into the bank. We shall see.

"We" don't have a "Wii " :lmao:

But we do have: 2 PSP's, 2 PS3's, 3 PS2's, and a GameCube! :rotfl2:

 Lot of help I am huh!? :rotfl:

We don't have any game systems.:scared1: Shocking I know. But between the neighbors XBox360 on the movie theatre screen and online poker....DH would get nothing done around here. He can be a tad obsessive about those games.

Looking like more rain here. Maybe soccer practice will be cancelled.:woohoo:

RJ? Beano? You all getting any rain? And how was Kimmies VB tourney??

Bets? Where you been? Ignore Beano and come and say hello.

:rolleyes1 Who knew chipotle peppers in adobo sauce were SO hot!?

Ok, so I tried a new recipe tonight...Chipotle Chili Black Bean Soup

Where's the fireman! :scared: I think I may have to break out the Pepcid!:lmao:

THAT sounds awesome! Is it more of a chili or more of a soup texture? I've never actually cooked with fresh hot peppers...only hot sauces...but we love hot food! Made the mistake once in Mexico of eating some unknown meal that had Habanero's in it!! OMG!! I thought I was going to pass out! I was dizzy & flushed and my ears were ringing! I couldn't speak & I couldn't understand the waiter...he kept trying to tell me what it was - then he finally went to the kitchen & brought one out to show me!:rotfl2: Silly me.... Anyway - drink chocolate milk - that will help kill the fire! When I was in college there was this little hotdog joint in WV with this really hot chili - Yans it was called - so they were called Yan Dogs! :lmao: Anyway, they sold cartons of chocolate milk to go with them!:thumbsup2

Happy Wednesday!

:woohoo:

check this out, it talks about some of the changes going on at DCA...

Addressing criticism of Paradise Pier, Mr. Weis plans to add a flagship ride based on the 1989 animated movie "The Little Mermaid" and another on the 1995 feature "Toy Story," the people say. The Mulholland Madness ride, which re-creates a careening drive along a famous Los Angeles street, will be rethemed featuring Disney characters. Others, like the Maliboomer thrill ride, are likely to be axed.

LITTLE MERMAID RIDE!!!! :woohoo:  :woohoo:

RJ - that soup looks awesome...another dumb question - what's adobe sauce?! I LOVE cilantro - so I would be the one "tweaking" the recipe with as much cilantro as I could get by with!:goodvibes I'll have to try that this winter sometime (soup is a "winter food" for me)!

I'm happy they're going to finally build you an Ariel ride:cool1: but I'm thinkin' it's not gonna be real high on the thrill seeker list........

Annie:

I had NO idea what adobo sauce was either! :rotfl2: I found it in the mexican food aisle...it's a small can of the chipotle peppers IN the adobo sauce that you want for the recipe. Just be sure not to add 4 of the peppers like I did!! :lmao:

The Little Mermaid ride has been a concept ride for many, many years now...if you bought the 10 yr. anniversary copy of Little Mermaid, the concept ride was discussed on the extra dvd in the bonus footage. :thumbsup2 No matter what kinda ride it is....I'll be going on it!!

Ronnie Jo, I thought of you when I had read that. :goodvibes I cant wait to see what they are going to do here. Of course I'm in the minority that loves California Adventure as it is, but I also live across the country from CA so its an experience for me. I can see how the locals wouldnt find the theming so neat.

Hey I was just reading a recipe that calls for this chipotle peppers in adobo sauce....great minds think alike I guess.

Where did you find it? Will I be able to find it at a normal grocery store?

I really like DCA ( I mean come on, they have California Screamin' and a wine bar...what's not to like!)...guess I'm in the minority of Californians :confused3

Johnna: I found it at our local Savemart, so it shouldn't be a problem ;)
