OK Friend Cheri
and everyone else really... remember back when you so cleverly put together your engineering, geometry math geek type problem/graphic to help Neil understand the "we must go on a cruise" philosophy?
(if you are catching up it's posted here somewhere I believe in the early on posts you can go back and read it and then know about that which we speak)
OK this is how bad it really is here....
We were watching "Big Bang Theory" last night. (new series about...math/science geeks) And there was a part when the mother makes her son go and apologize to his professor for calling him an idiot. And he says something like he apologizes for calling his attention to the fact he is an idiot rather than acutally apologizing for saying it. ANYWAYS, the professor is standing in front of a whiteboard working on a problem. And Neil and I were laughing

and during the commercial break Neil says something like "I really don't understand why the networks can't get real professors to look over their stuff before they do those types of scenes". And I am thinking....

"Oh no here it comes."
I have known Neil since we were 13 so I kinda know how his brain works... And I say "The problem on the whiteboard was wrong wasn't it?"

And Neil says....."Um not exactly wrong..."

"The equation at the top of the board does not explain the diagram they show drawn on the bottom of the board"

"It's a totally different equation"
(insert slap yourself in the forehead smilie here)
Really? Who actually reads the EQUATION on the whiteboard!?
And the show NUMBERS...um...yep...he loves that one. OK he used to but now that they are kinda off the "true math" he is not as interested....
Poor man. Oh and don't get me started on the conditional Excel spreadsheet he uses to track the football pool every week.....
