so...here i am at work...all alone...seems the bookkeeper decided that he wasn't feeling good after the boss yelled at him about not handling something...

then!! they had the NERVE to ask me if I could stay today..."Um..not really my fault you have a bookkeeper that hasn't EVER worked a full week in the 15 months he has been here"

i have no appointments today so I am going to make a leisurely trip to Target and William Sonoma to use my gift certificates!! WOO HOO!

Hey there....yes! I got to talk to RJ about the Chipotle Pumpkin soup recipe....THANKS RJ! That was cool . I think we've decided that it would be best to just try it out at home first rather than to try to tote it "out" somewhere! But now that I have that can of peppers I must try it sometime when it cools off! The weather here this fall has been bizarre (much, much warmer than usual) and I haven't been in the mood much for soup yet. Our avg. high is supposed to be running around 67 with lows in the 40's - but last nite it was so humid I actually got up during the nite and turned the AC back on! It was in the 70's! AT NIGHT! And HUMID?! What's that about?! I don't like it COLD - but that is just WEIRD! By now I'm usually trying to see how long we can last before we turn the HEAT on (I like to shoot for Nov. if we can)!

We got a shower earlier today - first rain we've had in 35 days! (The record was 33 days!) It's looking a little stormy out there now....we certainly need the rain - water restrictions all over the place now...

very cool....so what is Cars Land? Will that be a new section of DL or is it a whole new park?

Those are renovations that are scheduled to happen over the next 5 years At Disney's California Adventure...it's directly across the walkway from DL. They are 2 entirely separate parks.

Hey there...what's going on everyone? Sigh. Busy weekend here...it's supposed to be nice (in the 70's) so I really need to spend some time outside doing fall cleanup stuff...but DH's aunt & uncle & cousin from FL (Panama City) are supposed to be staying here at our house on Mon & Tues nites (last I heard anyway)...so guess what that means for Annie this weekend?! Yup. More bed changing, dusting, scrubbing & cleaning. Oh YEAH! Excitement abounds let me tell ya!! Not sure if I can control myself guys! Oh My! Cleaning!! I just might pee my pants!

LOL, Annie! The excitement never stops here either. 2 soccer games tomorrow then we have to go up to school to work on the float for the Halloween Parade. We almost got them to go with the HS Musical theme, but that got beat out by "Hands Across the World". The rest of the weekend is for work, laundry, and errands. WHAT happened to weekends???

Sorry... sometimes it's hard for us to DIS & post during the week. I tend to catch up on weekends.

This morning we've been @ the car dealership. Today's 3-car maintenance day.

I thought you were the bright one of our group! I noticed my ticker for Jan 18 - instead of it saying 3 months on Oct 18 it now says 2 months, 1 week & 1 day or something goofy like that...

Workin' too much!!!

Today we had the van towed to the local Ford dealer cause it wouldn't start. Took in the Taurus for an oil change and regular maintenance. Now the Escape is there getting its oil changed and maintenance done. Van needed a new battery which was weird but that's fine by me. Cheaper than I expected it to be. Needed rear brakes too, as the Croutons and Knebel's could attest too (squeek heard during braking). So, we have had a day of trips back and forth to the Ford dealer. Lucky for me, I work for Ford and they don't give me any crap. The dealer is also only .5 miles away.
