I am posting because I have found out the hard way that just reading and not writing makes Betsy'sMama fall off the chart.
Busy week end ahead. I am going to a ladies retreat tomorrow afternoon through Sat. lunch. Since it is held only about 5 miles from Betsy's house, I am going on up there to spend the night and help Katy with laundry. Can you believe that poor little girl has to do ALL the laundry? I know now why she loves for Grandmother to come. Just kidding, of course. I suppose I am the only person in the world who likes to do laundry. Don't like to cook but love washing, drying and folding clothes. Go figure.

Hi Anne! And, yes, you are the only person in the universe who likes to do . I'd rather run the vacuum all over the place and do load and loads of dishes. But, that's how I'm weird. (Nice to see you back here by the way.)

thanks for the prayer, GSD! That veggie sammy would have been good. However, dinner turned out great (ok, so I had to call RJ twice). The fam LOVED it. Timmy said so TWICE and Chris even mentioned that he liked the chicken. Cas is like her mamma and loved the risotto and wouldn't touch the chicken (I did taste the chicken and it was very good. But if asked, I'll deny it!!!) THANK YOU FRIEND RJ!!!!!

Tonight, she is slow-cooking a pot roast, making a platter of buttery potatoes, and baking triple-layer brownies for dessert. Great googly-moogly!!

And they wonder why I'm 250 pounds.

Go to pick kids up at school, pull around the corner.....5 fire trucks, 2 police cars, fire chief's car and an ambulance are at the high school!!!

The kids had been evacuated to the park across the street....a gas line had burst in the school and gas was leaking into the classes!

Everyone was ok....got my 2 kids and am back home safe and sound.


Geez-o-petes! Nuthin' like a lil freak-out on Friday afternoon

holy cannoli! Glad all was ok in K-burg. Wow. Nuthin like a firetruck in front of the school to raise your blood pressure instantly.

On a nicer note: RJ's apricot chicken - another success. Not as fabulous as the cranberry one but everylast bit was gone. Well done RJ. And you didn't even have to do the dishes. Heep beeg anniversary dinner tonight so I won't be calling for another recipe (until tomorrow night )

I keep hearing that....I'll bet it does on February 25th,when Im there. Rain seems to follow me everywhere. I have seriously stopped having cook outs at my house because it always rained!
