hay minniekissed, as if you could imagine , i have been hidding! i cant watch the games live, (up at 3am to go to work) i have only seen game 1 and game 2. and wow. as a true flyer fan, i have to say (blame someone else) that was some officiating there on the first two games. i didnt relize sid was off limits and his buddy malkin. anyway, it looks like i lose!! i only remeber one merical on ice. i dont think its going to happen here. this will have to do till we can meet one day. congrats and ill have rout for the pens to bring the cup to pa. again!!

I am a Leafs fan, so I cannot say much. The countdown is on, as our family vacation to WDW is 1 week away. I cannot wait to hear my DD (2yo) say I love you Mickey once again!!! This will be the first trip with DS (5months old).

Have a WONDERFUL time! That's SO very cool. Enjoy your time there, and be sure to take lots of pictures!

I leave for DLR in 54 hours... I can't wait!

It was supposed to be 3 or 4 weeks ago, but the trip got delayed by corporate. I leave Sat. evening, and will be in the park Sunday afternoon - after a walk along the beach, and having breakfast with my brother. I'm trying to get him to go with me, but so far - no dice.

I can't wait to set foot back in my original Disney home - I love WDW, but DL is truly home. I was there only 9 or 10 weeks ago - but I can't wait to go back. And now, tonight we just made flight arrangements for a family trip out in mid-July - and of course DL is on the agenda. That softened the blow for DW that I'll be in the park Sun & Mon without her.

I'll definitely try to get a photo or two of the new OBA to share with you. I read recently on MiceAge.com that they've been doing daytime testing, so I hopefully will be able to see it in action. They still don't have OSHA sign-off, so no passengers yet... Then I get to spend half of Monday in the park too! And if I'm lucky, Tuesday evening when my meetings are done... I hope so - but if not, that's okay because I'll have been there already.

I know there will be Band-Aid smell involved. Below I have included a recent post from "Take a Ride on Old Band-Aid"

I think that the Band-Aid smell is a stroke of genius by the imagineers. It can be very scary for a young child to ride in a strange vehicle so high off the ground. The imagineers probably noticed the way a band-aid instantly soothes children after a fall, scrape or cut. Even if there is no visible damage to the skin it just makes children feel better. So now when potentially frightened children board the monorail they smell band-aids and subconsciously it triggers a soothing effect. Genius!!


So if my theory is correct the new model will definitely have a Band-Aid smell.

chill - how timely this link is - check out the photos of the NEW Mark VII red OBA at DL - still in testing mode. It's a sleek, sexy new model, with an awesome retro look. Man I wish I could have one of these in my backyard! Wouldn't that be too cool?

That would be so cool! I wanted to be able to drive them so badly when I worked at DL - but no dice. The CFO of my company did though - so I've gotten to live that dream vicariously through his stories. Someday though, perhaps. Working there again after I retire - either WDW or DL - is definitely something I'd like to do.
