I've already decided that I'm retiring in Orlando and absolutely now want to be an OBA or FBA captain!

ditto on the :welcome:

I tell my DW all the time that I am going to retire and become a OBA pilot!!!:thumbsup2

She loves to take pictures so she wants to be a photopass photographer.:thumbsup2

chill - how timely this link is - check out the photos of the NEW Mark VII red OBA at DL - still in testing mode. It's a sleek, sexy new model, with an awesome retro look. Man I wish I could have one of these in my backyard! Wouldn't that be too cool?

WELCOME!!... but I have ask - why do you say it's "sad" - there's nothing wrong with being a proud Disneyphile. :yay: Glad you're here - it's a great place to hang out. :woohoo:

Looks very cool! Much more color. It also looks a little retro like the DL originals.

That would be so cool! I wanted to be able to drive them so badly when I worked at DL - but no dice. The CFO of my company did though - so I've gotten to live that dream vicariously through his stories. Someday though, perhaps. Working there again after I retire - either WDW or DL - is definitely something I'd like to do.

I look forward to spending my golden years with you and Bob!:cool1:

I'm in! I get stoked about the trip the minute we decide we're going to go. I talk about it with my daughter and get everything ready and planned. My wife questions my manhood slightly because I get so excited. The excitment is partly mine, but mostly for my daughter... :)

I order as much Disney stuff as I can get to view before we go. I post on the DIS and also research on other sites...

I'm a Disney Dad freak!!!

It's sad that I fit most of those qualifications. Count me in! It's about time we Disney Dad's unite!

We can be "minniekissedchillstopher" or "chillminniestopher" or "stopkissingchill" or how about "minniestopedmefromkissingchill" or "stopkissingcoupons"...:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Good heavens...I have nothing better to do on a dreary Friday in the Burgh!

Mickey's back yard BBQ is another good dinner show to go to in Ft Wilderness. Mickey and the gang have a western ho down that everyone gets to dance on the dance floor, eat drink and be merry.
:dance3: :drinking1

I can vouch for the Back Yard BBQ. We did it a few years ago and it is still the best character dining experience we have had. Lot's of time and interaction with the characters! :thumbsup2

Thanks. My DD has seen the previews of the new Playhouse disney show, and asks me at least once everyday to see it. We will also try to see Old Band Aid for you as well. Take care.

Let us know how your DD like's the new Playhouse Disney show. My 20 month old is mezzmerized by the commercials.

It's sad that I fit most of those qualifications. Count me in! It's about time we Disney Dad's unite!

Welcome from another Virginian!

To all of our new members... :welcome:

Too Funny:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl: What a way to brighten the afternoon! I laughed so hard I was crying.

Now you do know we'd need to wear the "breathe right" strips as we drive...:lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl:

The cool thing is I can drive the OBA/FBA and sell real estate at the same time! I'm never going to retire!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know there will be Band-Aid smell involved. Below I have included a recent post from "Take a Ride on Old Band-Aid"

I think that the Band-Aid smell is a stroke of genius by the imagineers. It can be very scary for a young child to ride in a strange vehicle so high off the ground. The imagineers probably noticed the way a band-aid instantly soothes children after a fall, scrape or cut. Even if there is no visible damage to the skin it just makes children feel better. So now when potentially frightened children board the monorail they smell band-aids and subconsciously it triggers a soothing effect. Genius!!

So if my theory is correct the new model will definitely have a Band-Aid smell.

WOW ...

Hello everyone!!

My name is Kevin and I am a Disneyaholic. I am not addicted to nicotine, alcohol, or drugs but get the shakes every time I think about going to Disney. When my wife and daughter (5) are not home I sneak in the Disney vacation video or one of the many tivoed Disney Travel Channel shows and could watch them all over and over:happytv: . I spend countless hours everyday on disney related websites to get my fix. :surfweb:

When I am at work (Locomotive Engineer) I spend a lot of my time reading Disney Travel books and though I drive trains all I really want to do is drive the train in the Magic Kingdom or a Monorail.

My wife doesn't have the same obsession with Disney as I do though my dd(5) does. Do you believe my wife would actually like to take other vacations besides Disney? :confused3 She wants to go on an all-inclusive trip to Mexico or sit on the beach in Hawaii. My response was at Disney she could have all-inclusive with the DDP (sort of), she could sit on many beaches, and she could drink Margaritas in Mexico.

Anyway sorry to ramble but I hope I fit your criteria to join the Dad's Club!

Thanks,

Kevin

Well, I can be, at least on the nights for the 24th, 26th, 27th, 28th, 29th, 30th and 31st and al day on the 25th. I live about 15 minutes away, so I would have to work during the day and we don't go on Sundays.
