The only picture I have of me and Goofy. Many of you may recognize this spot in the Orlando International Airport.

Dads-
I just found out that I am going to be attending a conference down at WDW in October. :thumbsup2 Its held at the Regal Sun Resort over at Downtown Disney. Anybody stayed there before and have any opinions? Thanks for the feedback!

CastawayJP,

I just finished looking at your very professional 2nd Disney Cruise video. I smiled the whole time I was watching it. You have a beautiful family and it looks like you all had a great time. Now I have to learn how to do a video like that. Awesome! :thumbsup2

Thanks for checking it out! They are really easy to make if you have an Apple just use iMovie or if you have a PC get Microsoft Movie Maker. I recommend iMovie, its a little easier, especially if you use iTunes. But Microsoft is very intuitive as well.

:cool1: Can I join? I'm a single dad, I meet all of the criteria listed on the OP with the exception that I don't have a dog or a wife. :dance3:

Hi guys.

Here is a report on something that happened to us last trip.

Grant it, in the beginning it is not the happiest of times, but has a good ending.

Dads. Learn from my mistakes regarding home security.

Sorry if this puts a damper on this thread, but just a good reminder to make sure the home front is covered when we take our trips.

I am sorry to hear about your house being robbed. Three things I can't stand are thiefs, liars, and the Dallas Cowboys. I will be praying that some good will come out of all of this and just know that God is still in control despite of all the bad that surrounds us. Oh, I teared up too when I saw how happy my son was at the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. You're not a wuss for tearing up.:thumbsup2

Sorry to hear about that, it is a sad story but I'm glad it ended well. Don't feel bad about the wet eyes... It happens to the best of us... Especially when remembering memories from our cruises. sniff... sniff... sniff...

Just thought I'd share - I finally talked myself into booking a trip for spring break - better late than never! CSR, March 21-26. I keep telling my wife it's for our DD, but I think she knows the truth....

Well, I just found this thread and figured I'd join :)
I am a verified Disney Dad. I couldn't find entry on the that doesn't apply to me in some degree.
I am the fool who wears his ears from the time he gets off the plane in Orlando until he gets back on the plane to go home.
Every picture we have our our trip last august with ONE night exception (our 10th anniversary night dinner at the Castle) I am wearing my ears. My boys don't even wear them at the whole time but fortunately they aren't embarrassed by me yet.
We are heading back to the World this August again. Staying POP so we can afford the Dining Plan. This time it's to celebrate my long long over due promotion at work.
PLUS we just decided at a family get together yesterday to start planning a large family Land/Sea trip in june 2010 (looks like 24 people in the group).
Anyway, i'm a 40 year old kid, my favorite park is MK, my favorite character is Baloo, and my favourite movie is Jungle Book. My dream for this years trip is the same as last year - to get a night in the castle. My wife hopes we don't she doesn't want the hassle of getting clothes for one night from the hotel <grin> but she puts up with me.

drakethib That just stinks and I'm glad you guys got to at least try to enjoy the rest of your trip. What a great friend to take care of things.

We are lucky that we live over my Moms business (hair salon) and even when she comes with us others come in most days and take care of the dog and still have to work.

Now the Jeeps are a different thing and DW just had a window smashed at her work the other day they emptied the center console out but there was nothing really to take. This is the 5th or 6th time our jepps have been broken into. When are they going to relise we keep nothing in them.

We never put the GPS in until we leave the hood and only have stock componts in and hers is a 94 as well so what are they looking for.

To all the New DDC dads welcome and

to TDF I love that at MCO and never thought of getting a picture but will next trip.

Welcome to the support group that we call the DIS Dad's Club. My Wife :cool1: and I are planning a Disney Cruise with family in 2009. I can't wait! But planning the trip is half of the fun to me. Also, I'll be a 40 year old kid next month. :thumbsup2

I really enjoyed reading this entire thread...nope, I'm not a dude/guy but I am a single parent therefor I am both the Mom and Dad ;)

So, in reading how super-mega-Disney you all are, I am wondering if any of you applied for Disney's part-time Chief Magic Official Job on careerbuilders.com last month? Would have been the perfect job for many of you, especially the OP!

Ok, taking thy female self out of here. TTFN!

I'm glad my wife found this thread. I've been preparing for this group my entire life. I've been to Walt Disney World too many times to count. It almost feels like I grew up there. Although, my new Disney vacation spot is now Castaway Cay.

I'm also 40 in March! Bring on middle age.
