I have a question for you guys. I was speaking with a co-worker yesterday and they said they went to Kidani in June and when they checked in they asked for a room upgrade to one with a view and they were given one at no additional charge! I am ready to raise Fed's BS flag on this.

They showed me some pics but they were all close up so I can't tell where they were taken from. Have any of you ever received such an upgrade?

In high school, there was construction at the entrance and a similar sign. I guess people complained and the sign was fixed to saw "men working slow", which was probably more accurate. And, since it was road construction in KY 20 years ago, it was still Harbeson's fault.

Morning gentlemen, a month and a half of CRUD coming up to slam me. I get to pick up a co-workers responsibilities because he had a heart valve replacement and the recovery isn't going as planned. Glad I have a job in this economy, but I was scrambling with my own responsibilities. Probably see you sometime around mid-November again in DDC XIII unless I hear rumors of a bacon thread.

Nope, never. I haven't ever asked for one though, but this still sounds unlikely to me at least...

Morning all!

In for a fun morning, logged into email this morning and had a message from one of my technicians that a customer threatened them last night. One of those "I don't care what the policy is, you'll do this or I'll threaten to pull my business and get you fired!"

I love calling guys like this, basically they have an option to buy the PC from us or use their own. They are told if they buy it from us we will do anything needed to keep the software running, but if they use their own we only verify the software is configured properly, anything else they have to get their own PC people to look at it (Geek Squad). Whenever we get a guy like this I always remote into his PC "to make sure my technician did everything they should." and then bring up their browser history, which 9 times out of 10 is full of porn. After stammering around for a few seconds they normally tell me "You know what, I better get my local guy to look at this!"

I love being in IT!

I know you'll have fun with that tutter! I wish our IT department was a little better. Old hardware and understaffed and overworked. I'm not IT, but I am a teacher who knows a fair amount about technology and it just makes things difficult when I can't get a decent net connection somewhere.

It's rare, but it does happen. I even read recently about one person who got an upgrade from Pop to one of the Deluxes - totally random pixie dust. You shouldn't ever count on it, but it does happen.

It happened to us once a few years ago. When I booked it they only had standard views available. At check-in, I asked and she played with the computer, smiled at me and said she could do it. I think there were plenty of savanna rooms available.

Hey, did you guys see that the Simply Segway "Tour" (which is really just an indoor class) has been closed? They are still offering the Around the World Tour, which takes you outside and around Epcot (and is awesome if you haven't done it!)

briana just mentioned that the other day. it looks like her and i will be doing that in may. hope i dont brake my neck on the thing. im sure ill stick the thing and myself into world showcase lagoon.
