I checked, and didn't see anything.

But this is convincing me that I need to see whether I can get a decent last-minute deal on a rental car for after I have to return my gov rental.

Sorry to hear about your back, Aaron. Hope you can get the eval ASAP. Did you ever find someone to take your second hotel room?

Well, that stinks. I know Fed leads the DisDad Emergency Extraction Team...do we have a DisDad Emergency Medicat Unit? :confused3

We still need some Dis Dad Nurses to help fill out the team. May have to recruit some from the Mom's side if we can't find any. :confused3

Just taking a break from my morning long phone call(s) to Verizon.

Long story short as I understand it thus far: our email accounts were suspended because they did not transfer them from our old DSL account to the new FIOS account back in March. But we've still been using them all this time, up until this morning. :confused3 Oh, well, that's because DSL never closed our account... so they've been billing us and they finally got fed up that we haven't paid!! We had no idea, because everything is bundled and that charge wasn't showing up on our bill. Nor did they send us paper bills, nor did they ever call to tell us we owed them. Of course, this is all OUR fault and I have been unable to convince them otherwise so far.

So it's back to the phone now that I've fed DS and he's somewhat content enough to allow me to only devote part of my attention to him. Having him nearby will actually help me keep my temper.

I've been busy over on the Last Post thread, Princess threw down a Bacon challenge to us DISDads and I've been holding up our good name.

:thumbsup2

Afternoon fella's. I was downtown today for a meeting and a scalper was selling a Colts ticket for $20 less then face value! How quickly the great fall from grace :lmao:

See my post from last week about "Colts fans" jumping off the bandwagon like it is made of molten lava.

My back is feeling much better right now, after a 90 minute massage. Hopefully, it stays "better."

One of my co-workers was added to the conference late, so it worked out perfectly. She took over my conference hotel room and my office is reimbursing me for a part of my ASMu room (at the conference room rate for the length of the conference).

Good morning guys. Thank you all so very much for the warm words of support. They mean a lot :thumbsup2

The vet did a very nice job in making the situation easier for me ( I went alone ).

Sorry I'm late to the commiseration, but I am very sorry for your loss.

To be serious though, that is somewhat concerning to hear that about the buses. I'm sure that we probably won't hear anything about it other than rumors though. If it got to the point that lines were that backed up and people were fighting, no way in Beverly Disney wants to let that get out.

There was an altercation on a Disney bus back in 2009 that made it to YouTube and then to a lot of media outlets. Whatever was going on last night seems to have no Internet presence at all.

Beverly!

And now, I'm in violation of MANLAW. Four days out from our trip, and I'm having back stiffness/spasms. I made it in to work, but it's not pretty. I'm not sure how long I'm going to last. I have an analysis that is due on the 23rd that I've been pushing to get done by tomorrow, but I'm having my doubts that will happen (which will mean bringing work with me to Disney, on top of the conference).

Grrrrrrr.

Summer 2010, I was released from the hospital where I'd been (unexpectedly) for 5 days 2 days before a trip. I think the MANLAW should probably be, instead, "No matter what injury or illness life throws at you, you WILL make it to WDW."

.

90 minutes is a good amount. That should last until you can get out of town.

VICODIN, THE PAIN MAY STILL BE THERE BUT..... YOU DONT CARE!!!!:lmao:

I was just going with the option to keeping his brain functioning enough to finish his work before he heads out on vacation.

I have the heavenly combo of muscle relaxers and vicodin for when I really mess my back up. I sat on the couch feeling like I was wearing a snowmobile suit. I remember starting to watch Iron Man, next thing I know the credits are rolling. I restart it on the DVR, next thing I know the credits are rolling again. At that point I decided to turn in, and woke up 12 hours later.

Great news Aaron. Hope the back keep improving and you get what needs to be done before you leave.

Flexeril and Lortab does it for me. I had Percoset when I had my wisdom teeth out. I don't remember much of anything - way too strong. For most, the side effects of narcotic pain killers is constipation. But, nothing can plug me up. Aren't you glad I shared that.

I'm thinking yes to the trip...., but was looking for some reasons to say no. And, I'm kind of looking forward to driving 2,000 miles in the Mustang. They MIGHT let me drive it around the Richard Petty track, right?

If they let me, I'd take the Beverly mini-van on the Richard Petty track and run the tires off or roll it, whichever comes first. 10 years and 170,000 miles and it keeps going.

Good news... got the green light from my better half for WDW in March. Gotta get planning... 190 days out!

slow-men-at-work-funny-picture.jpg

In high school, there was construction at the entrance and a similar sign. I guess people complained and the sign was fixed to saw "men working slow", which was probably more accurate. And, since it was road construction in KY 20 years ago, it was still Harbeson's fault.

i added an adr to the list today for this trip. we are going to eat at the rose and crown for dinner. :thumbsup2 tammy asked is there something there i would eat? as long as they have beef and coke, im in heaven.:lmao:

Women just think too much. My requirement is if they have draft beer. I'll settle for if they serve alcohol.
