Any of you social media (mainly Twitter) guys know what happened to the busses down here tonight?

We left befor Wishes and apparently there was a SERIOUS transportation glitch and NO busses were coming in to move people after the show. My brother got caught in a line that went from the bus stops to the park exit! No busses were showing up at all.

Apparently a melee ensued with fistfights, shoving and cursing (word is spreading)

Something has been up with the busses...one caught on fire at thr MK stop Monday, and multiple have broken down and stranded people...we saw one last night that had all the guests (about 150 of them) standing around outside it!

Don't know what's up, but something's not jiving?

We'd better call the "Kingdom Keepers"! Apparently Malificent and Chernabog have been up to their old tricks!

:rotfl2:

‘Morning all.

I know I’m chiming in rather late here (been rather busy) but..

Good morning guys. Thank you all so very much for the warm words of support. They mean a lot :thumbsup2

Dave,
I’m very sorry to hear about your loss. Never easy, and I wish you well.

We can surely sympathize with you. A few years back, we had our female Border Collie die of cancer at age 11. She was my DW's SAR partner for 8 1/2 years. My male BC, and my SAR partner, began going downhill early this year. In June he turned 15 and a week later we had to have him put down. He didn't like going to the vet so she came out to our vehicle and did it. I sent him off with one last "Casey, go find" command. They were both terrific dogs and neither one could ever be replaced. They both graciously gave of themselves for many years to help humans they had never met. We will be in mourning for both of them for the rest of our lives.

Mike,
That is an amazing story. I also offer belated condolences, and thanks for doing SAR work. That is also quite a service. Your "Casey, go find" story, dang near had me boohooing.

Yikes!!!!!

This ain’t good. I’d like to hear more about what happened if you fella’s with the inside knowledge can pick up on it.

Hey guys. Been stuck in very helpful, useful training  the last couple of days. I'm sure you've all noticed and missed me.

<crickets>

You know, that's really setting up some good jokes, but I really haven't seen the Captain around here to defend himself much the last few days.:lmao::rotfl2:

Hey, there's one. Sigh.

David: sorry to hear about your beloved family dog. I hope you're doing ok.

Aaron: Almost there...almost there...

So sorry for your loss, Dave. We had to put our Cocker Spaniel down the day before Thanksgiving a few years ago. I was trying to be strong for DW as we left the vet, but a FedEx Home Delivery truck drove by (with their little cartoon dog logo on the side of the truck) and I lost it.
Time heals all wounds.

A sad day at the Duck household today. We had to put our friend and pet of 14 years, Jack, to sleep. His health was drastically getting worse. The girls seem to be ok, but I am struggling with it. Before we had them, there was Jack.
Sorry for your loss. We've been through that situation far too many times.

I'm thinking yes to the trip...., but was looking for some reasons to say no. And, I'm kind of looking forward to driving 2,000 miles in the Mustang. They MIGHT let me drive it around the Richard Petty track, right?
Sounds good... I'm always looking for an excuse to be able to go! I'm not so good at finding reasons NOT to though.

I'm sure they forget to lock a gate to the track every once in a while...:rolleyes1

To be serious though, that is somewhat concerning to hear that about the buses. I'm sure that we probably won't hear anything about it other than rumors though. If it got to the point that lines were that backed up and people were fighting, no way in Beverly Disney wants to let that get out.

Morning all!

Her conference is paying for ONE room for her, that DS4 & I would be sharing with her. (Hiccup #1).
Hiccup # 2 is that I don't know for sure that I'm invited. DW just asked if I'd be interested.
Hiccup #3 is that I'm going to WDW in June of next year. So, do I buy a 10-day non-expire ticket for DS4 and I, and if so, how does that affect the package we've already reserved.:confused3

so... lots of "what if's"

Hiccup #1 would be too much for me. After one day I would be in jail for manslaughter. Just me though... :lmao:

Aaron's plan for the AP just convinced me to get one next year, as we have a 5 day trip in Jan and a 6 day in Oct 2012. :thumbsup2 Thanks!

Sorry to hear about Jack:littleangel: It's never a easy thing to do, I've had to do it twice, it takes awhile before you can move on

Once during our last visit, there was an extreme wait for all buses at MK one evening. No buses were coming in and the lines were building up and tensions were running high. Luckily it wasn't at park closing, but it was after the fireworks for the night.

It turned out that there was an accident down the road that had the road blocked and no buses could get through.

RUMBLE!!!!!! :woohoo: i seen on another site the other night about a bus fire. but there was very little info so i didnt know if it was someone spreading things around or what. the person was there but couldnt tell if it was the bus or the terminal.:confused3 and no pictures.nothing in the news down there either so i blew it off as a joke. i know back in 2009, a "bus driver":lmao: was telling me about there union contract and how housekeeping is part of there contract.:confused3 and the drivers wanted to be seperated from them. im wondering if there contract is up?? ill have my van so i can drive to the parks but sounds intresting. thanks for the info fed.:thumbsup2

Beverly!

And now, I'm in violation of MANLAW. Four days out from our trip, and I'm having back stiffness/spasms. I made it in to work, but it's not pretty. I'm not sure how long I'm going to last. I have an analysis that is due on the 23rd that I've been pushing to get done by tomorrow, but I'm having my doubts that will happen (which will mean bringing work with me to Disney, on top of the conference).

Grrrrrrr.

I was in CVS the other day and noticed they sell TENS units in the pain killer aisle. It was one of the things that really helped when I was having back issues a few years ago.

I've been busy over on the Last Post thread, Princess threw down a Bacon challenge to us DISDads and I've been holding up our good name.

GO GET'EM! SHOW THEM WHO DOES BACON BEST!!!

Truer words have never been spoken... :lmao:

I hurt my back really bad last winter. I could barely walk. I couldn't even extend my right leg out in front of my body, so I really just kind of shuffled for a few days. Went to the Dr. and he gave me 3 little orange bottles (Naproxen, Vicodin and a muscle relaxer to take at night). The discomfort was bearable but it allowed me to walk and a few days later I was good as new!:thumbsup2:rotfl2:
