Got my new Xbox360 (4GB) with Kinects Bundle.

Was able to disassemble the old 20GB Harddrive from my old 360...and install it into the new 360...so...no data loss...and no need to buy the 250GB HD they sell for it. ( you will need a #6 Torx and a #9 Torx to disassemble old HD)

These are just Laptop SATA drives with special formatting (mine was made by Seagate)...used the foam padding from the new 360 packaging to fashion some spacers so the hard drive remains secure...

Maybe I should post this stuff in the Geek Thread.

Very cool like the how to geek stuff... We should find out how many dads and kids play xbox, it might be nice to share some gamertags.

Be VERY careful about this. I've read several stories recently about major crackdowns on Xbox Live on modded Xboxes. There are people reporting that their boxes have been banned when they know they've never modded their box (tamper seals still in place and everything). But there's not direct explanation of why they were banned, no appeal process, and the only way to access Xbox Live again is to buy a new Xbox (or access from someone else's Xbox). I know that you didn't do anything to "cheat" in reusing the hard drive you already had, but I have to wonder if the more aggressive monitoring they seem to be doing is going to alert on boxes like yours.

Never use Xbox "live"...so wouldn't bother me...do not do the online gaming thing.

The hard drive still is "labeled" as a "Microsoft" Hard Drive...that is shows up in the Memory with a Microsoft logo..so I shoul dbe legit.

I dunno, I heard that Miami was so good at football that the entire team turned pro . . . while they were still in college.

I had a customer come in here a few minutes ago and tell me his son went to a club calf (beef show cattle) auction last night. A steer calf sold for $33,000!

Winning is apparently just too important to some people. I don't care how many big shows you win, there's no way you make that money back from a steer. Maybe a heifer or a bull if you get a lot of good offspring... but wow.
