:welcome: hmmmm... Looks like that profile pic is a boathouse! :worship: :rotfl2: Disdad meet at downeaster's house!! :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

Nice catch, carlnix30; yes, my avatar is a pic of the extended family's rickety old boathouse on a lake approximately 30 mins from Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. My DW, 3 kiddos and myself cherish the summer weeks/weekends we can "get to the camp.":goodvibes

Hoping that our fellow Dads in minniapolis and Joplin Missouri areas are safe tonight! Looks like another rough night of storms out there!

There are approx. 600 of us so can it fit us all? :lmao:

Ox is relocating to Orlando and has been charged with finding a house big enough for all of us :rotfl2:

As long as the Heat lose I am interested. Otherwise remind me the college season starts :thumbsup2<<<<<<thumb

I would like to see the heat lose as well... The Mavs would be a great story to see if they could win it. stern would probably light himself on fire before handing the trophy to Cuban...

Agreed, just turned on the Weather Channel and saw the devastation in Joplin. My prayers go out to anyone in the line of these storms.

We just got back alittle while ago from Sesame Place, we saw The Jumpits, after the show we stuck around for a few minutes and they came out for pics:woohoo: We were able to get one on ones with all 5 of the Jumpits:goodvibes (all those people who rush out to beat everyone missed out:lmao:)

My son has a crush on Ashley Tisdale (Sharpie), he's been watching it all day, and when you ask him if he likes Sharpie, he gets all gitty and bashful:flower3:

How was Sesame Place? We have been thinking about taking a trip with DD3, but haven't yet. Would be about a 5 hour drive for us. Worth it?

For the record, I have a crush on Ashley Tisdale too.

We have SP for all the Busch/Seaworld Parks, so we go all the time:yay:

It is rather small compared to most parks, but for young kids it's probably just the right size:goodvibes There are 3 shows, 8 rides, a parade, meet & greets, and a bunch of water rides:cool1:

I would recommend going on a weekday (not as crowded) and since you are 5 hrs away, maybe make it a couple day trip and include maybe Philly or the Shore:confused3

don't beat yourself up!! You see how many times we have been to Disney? The kids have gone 3 times!! It's really okay to take a Disney trip without the kids!
Anyone look at you crossed eye tell them its "marriage maintenance" it a vacation to help you and your wife connect! They wouldn't be saying anything bad to you if you were going to Hawaii without the kids! So why Disney! Dude... Go .. Ride dumbo with the wife!! I did.. And will do it again! :thumbsup2

Thanks Carl! You make a great point, nobody questions an anniversary trip to Vegas either or a cruise without the kids. My DW and I are both looking forward to a enjoying some great grownup meals out and rolling at a slightly slower pace.

Thanks. I think we will check it out, and make a trip out of it.

DW and I went this January with another couple. It was a very different experience exploring the parks as a group of adults. It was a great time, like being on one really great 4 day long date. We also used it as a time to try out TS meals we might not take the kids too. DW and I would really like to do it again and we were both a little bummed that it wasn't in the budget to do marathon weekend again in 2012.

Because Barry requested it, here's my rendition of Kermit the Frog singing Celine Dion. Sorry about the bad quality.

Great stuff! :happytv::rotfl2:

Hello Gentlemen! Very happy to discover this forum; I'm the chief Disney planner/dreamer/schemer in my household.

I read your member list and locations; I respectfully request permission to come aboard as member #601 (and apparently) the first from Maine.

Thanks guys! :thumbsup2

Welcome to the club. EmmasDad should be along shortly to assign your official number. :)

I want to see the Heat win so the Mavs can have a shot at redemption from 2006 (if we get past the Thunder.) But I would love to see Stern have to hand over the trophy to Cuban. :lmao:
