I want to see the Heat win so the Mavs can have a shot at redemption from 2006 (if we get past the Thunder.) But I would love to see Stern have to hand over the trophy to Cuban. :lmao:

Stop worrying about the Thunder! You sound like a Boston fan!!!!

Even the announcer's were leary of the Mavs "collapse" in the 4th quarter. The Mavs are far superior to Thunder. Watching all the talent on the Mavs and Heat would certainly be great. I wonder what the match-up would be? Bosh & Nowitzki

We will be spending a week in July in Williamsberg VA, I started a list of things to do in the area while we are there, We go a few times a year so we are familiar with the area, we are not really doing any Historic things, did it once (was kinda boring)

This is what I have so far

- Busch Gardens
- Water Country USA
- Virginia Zoo
- Virginia's Living Muesum
- Meet up with Don (or win lottery):lmao:
- US Army Trasportain Muesum
- Kings Dominion

For dinner we will be trying Bourboun Street one of those nights:confused3

Also I want to hit Richmond Rd, seems like there are alot of cool shops there, plus I can pick up a ham there:cool1:

We just got back alittle while ago from Sesame Place, we saw The Jumpits, after the show we stuck around for a few minutes and they came out for pics:woohoo: We were able to get one on ones with all 5 of the Jumpits:goodvibes (all those people who rush out to beat everyone missed out:lmao:)

My son has a crush on Ashley Tisdale (Sharpie), he's been watching it all day, and when you ask him if he likes Sharpie, he gets all gitty and bashful:flower3:

Does he realize that Ashley Tisdale is also the voice of Candace on Phineas & Ferb?

Had no clue:confused3, He does remember her from Suite Life, I know she was in HS musicial, but the TV is broken when that comes on:lmao:

Watching the Disney Channel all the time, I must say Disney really gets there monies worth out of the actors, most of them are on more than 1 show:confused3

Finally made it home from my monthly visit to my fathers. lil sister got confirmed today at church. Hit some really nasty storms on the long drive home, made even longer by fog at the end.

Time to hit the sack. p.s. single digit dance! :woohoo:

Back from the Keys. Great time was had by all. Could not have asked for better weather or diving conditions. Also took DD’s friend and she went snorkeling. She came back to the boat after the second dive and said that was one of the coolest things she has ever done. Well worth the money I laid out.

All you Heat doubters out there take a look at game 3. Only saw the highlights because I was on the road but you have to give them credit. Bosh had a great game and it is good to see UD (a former Gator) contribute. Still a series but a must win for the Bulls in the next game.

how 'bout them Heat?????

Hmmm, guess this page is now officially owned by the HEAT!!!

Thanks Carl! You make a great point, nobody questions an anniversary trip to Vegas either or a cruise without the kids. My DW and I are both looking forward to a enjoying some great grownup meals out and rolling at a slightly slower pace.

I can honestly tell you, your adult only trip will be great! Go to any park when you want ride a ride.. Or don't! Do world showcase tour.. Without hearing..."I'm bored" support other countries by buying their "beverages"..:rotfl2: we really like taking our time around the parks not worrying about where the next bathroom is! Also it's really easy to get walk ins to most restaurants with two people. :thumbsup2

Welcome New Dads!:cool1:

Thank you, Duck!:thumbsup2

Thanks again to AJRitz for the Podcast. I posted the link on my FB page, and my folks called to say they were listening. Next time there's a need for an extra dad on a podcast, I'm happy to help.

Yesterday, the DW mentioned again about our vacation in May 2012:woohoo:

I know I've asked about trip planning before, and you all have come through with great answers. Is there a way to "guarantee" connecting rooms? We tried last time, and I reserved rooms 12 months in advance, and they still couldn't get us what we wanted. But next time, we'll *need* connecting rooms, as we won't have the same # of adults to keep an eye on little guys overnight.

And as much as I'd LOVE a 2BR DVC, the DS6 wants to go back to the Toy Story Hotel.... and it is "all" of our vacation.

I don't think you can "guarantee" it, but you can make the request, and Disney is usually very good about trying hard to accommodate them. If you're going at a very crowded time of year it's harder for them to make it work.

I've had the same experience Mark had. They refuse to "guarantee" it, but they will almost certainly honor it. Getting them to "guarantee" it will only get you a headache, since they won't do it (a CM finally told me that they aren't allowed to do so)

Mornin' Dads!

And a special good mornin' to our Canadian Dads....Happy Victoria Day!

I don't know how special that day is....just saw it on my calendar. :thumbsup2

Morning all... Pretty horrible weather going around the country, I hope everyone's making it through ok. Watched the news this morning, all about the tornado in Joplin, just devastating. My thoughts are with anyone dealing with it.

I did! Like any good Disdad I would expect nothing less.

i wore the new Disdad shirt in the MK and had a few questions about it. Met up w/ another Disdad (DEA), but forgot to take a pic.

Welcome back! Glad you guys could meet up! I wore my t-shirt on the boardwalk at the beach this weekend...nobody asked about it, though. :guilty:

Back from WDW as of 1am. A recap:

Hoop De Doo Revue: :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2(thumbs). Can't believe now that we hadn't tried it before.

Boat to Ft. Wilderness across Bay Lake during a thunderstorm: :thumbsup2 (not thumb). Lightning in front of and behind us? That can't be good. :scared1:

Sanaa and Flying Fish: :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 (thumbs) Another couple of excellent meals at those places. Best food of the trip.

Bay Lake Tower: :thumbsup2 (not thumbs)

theduck619 and family: :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 (thumbs). Great to meet you guys. I am glad we made it work out.

Not taking pictures: :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 (not thumbs). In my defense, I am an idiot.

Walking into the Princess Meet and Greet in MK with a 5 minute wait: :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 (thumbs)

The wait at the Rapunzel and Flynn Meet and Greet: :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 (not thumbs). Having this set up as a timed program with separate "shows" can be pretty discouraging.

Having a daughter get up the nerve to ask Flynn if the crown is in his satchel: :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 (thumbs). Ummm.. if you have kids at this meet and greet, I would encourage you to get them to ask if the crown is in the satchel...:rolleyes1

Canceling the Phineas and Ferb Meet and Greet after I had rearranged our schedule: :thumbsup2 (not thumbs). CURSE YOU DISNEY THE PLATYPUS!

All in all, a great trip. Kind of a rough start, but a lot of really fun stuff and quality family time. I think we hit the length of stay pretty well, as the girls were ready to get home and back to normal and not clawing at the doors as we took them to the car...

...that was me.

Welcome home! Sounds like overall you guys had a good time. Next time I'll pay more attention to the dates other Dads will be down there and do a better job of coordinating...:rolleyes1
