Ha! that's a genius idea. I wonder how many $2 bills you could procure from your bank?

Funny story: Apparently, you can order them if they don't have as many as you want.

Um, again, so I've heard... I've never BEEN to one of those places...

on Rte 3...

In Sauget....

And if you get to the airport & you've gone too far....

Hi guys,

After many years on the boards i have discovered this club!
Better late than never right?

I found you actually via your podcast.

I will start by declaring my total fascination with all things Disney.

In our family I am chief planner, DW is the grounded one!

DD5 is my little princess and is a tink and general princesses superfan.

We are based in London, UK

We are DVC members and spend a minimum of three weeks per year at WDW and have been going every year for many years as a couple and then as a family.

We are heading to the boardwalk for three weeks at the beginning of august and we are buzzing with excitement.

I caution all readers that DW and I share this ID so I do not have gender issues sometimes on other threads it may be DW!!!!

Well that's me!

Raz (Mr) :wizard:

Welcome to the Club Mr. Raz!
Glad you found us via the podcast - hope you're enjoying it. We should have a new episode up any day now.

Someone sent this to me from Facebook.

A good way to mess with people on the supposed "Judgement Day" tomorrow;

Leave shoes with dry ice in them around town;

Now that's funny:lmao: I hope I get some pieces of dry ice with my ice cream delivery tomorrow:scratchin

I just had a fun conversation on Facebook with an old friend. Her son is having 5 friends over tomorrow for a sleepover for his birthday (15, IIRC). She was wondering how to work a rapture prank into the evening. I suggested that she and her husband sneak away while the boys are eating dinner and each lay out a complete outfit on the floor in the entry hall, including shoes.

She's going to do it, and has promised to post pictures.

During the day they should make a small fire in a pit or fireplace and put the clothes near it , so it gets that burnt smell:confused3

If I had any idea where to get dry ice I'd be all over town with that one!

You can get it from a Ice Plant, or you might be able to find a lead from your local UPS center (since people use it for some types of shipping):confused3

In Sauget....
Sauget, IL??? That has to be a classy establishment.:scared1:

Pirates of Carribean 4 rocks. It was over 2 hours long, but worth it. There were some really intense scenes in this one that my children were scared. We saw the others on DVD, so it may have just been in the cinema. My only complaint would be there is not as much action on the pirate ships as there was in the other movies. Music still rocks. Storyline is still excellent. Captain Jack Sparrow is still Captain Jack Sparrow. Angelica is hot. And, there are 3 story lines for #5. Enjoy the music and wait until the end of the credits for a scene.

Evening gents...

A great one today, as I had a drunk shoplifter within 5 minutes of opening. I opened a cash line to help out deal with the breakfast club, and this guy come shuffling over with a basket with Smirnoff Ice in it, holding his coat (hmmm)....As he raises the basket to the counter, a 40 oz bottle of brandy drops out of the coat to the floor., he just looks down, as do I for a sec, I take the basket and tell him to take a hike. He shuffles away, BARELY keeping his pants up, quite cheeky:rotfl2:. watch to make sure he doesn't get into a car, he walks away, likely to a men's shelter that is nearby. Check the DVR tapes, and from it, watch the grab/concealment...what a great way to start the long weekend :thumbsup2

"That'll teach those Hatches!"
It was playing out just like that in my head while I posted it, funny enough:lmao:

But it's Friday, I don't have to work at all this weekend, so today is bound to be better, right?

RIGHT????

TL

RIGHT!

MUTTLEY!!!!

Just read that the Macho Man died... For a fan of 80's wrestling this is a sad day indeed...

When it played over the radio, a couple of guys at work, had to stop what they were doing to tell me. Just too bad....Gotta ask though, will the mourners at the funeral wear black, or day-glo cowboy hats and fringes?

Welcome!

At the theater now, POTC 4 starts in fifteen minutes.

Awesome...we are going Tuesday afternoon after we get through doctors appointments.

Helping my son build a ghillie suit for the weekend after next. We're doing a Young Marines encampment and they're planning a huge game of capture the flag.

Details:
  • The "flag" will be posted at night
  • There will be guards present all day and night in shifts
  • 3 teams will be vying for control of the flag
  • You will not know who is on your team, only that you belong to one of the 3 teams (Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie)
  • The game will not stop after lights out. If you can get out of your tent (and there may be other Young Marines in your tent who are not on your team) assemble your whole team, then capture and hide the flag without being caught, then you're fine. If you are caught the flag gets returned and you many not attempt again until morning.
  • You must do a good job hiding the flag but you may not disrespect it. The flag is our unit guidon.
  • If someone else finds the flag, they can, as a team, move it elsewhere and rehide it.
Stealth is key so my son and his squad are all making ghillie suits. We found a camoflage jumpsuit at the thrift store last night and bought dark green and black rit dye. I got a 96"x96" burlap mat at the agricultural supply store for $8 about 2 hours ago and we're now searching for a cheap volleyball net.

This should be fun. One kid bought one for $100 (rich parents) but as we have resources available to us from people who have built and used some in the field we're looking forward to doing this on our own. Tonight, tomorrow, and Sunday we're ripping that burlap mat apart, then dying it. The long part will be tying the material onto the netting when we're done.

There will be pictures of this process to come.

In other news, does anyone have a set of night-vision goggles I can use? I don't have a grand to get some.

Good Plans, but sorry, I need my NODs...:rotfl2::cool2:

Really?!? When did you get a minvan?!? :thumbsup2

Hemi Charger...sorry dude, nap time is over, stop dreaming..;):lmao:

Funny story: Apparently, you can order them if they don't have as many as you want.

Um, again, so I've heard... I've never BEEN to one of those places...

on Rte 3...

And if you get to the airport & you've gone too far....
