DIS Dads The DIS Dad's Club VIII - The Online Mancave

May be a little late, but I have an Exmark Quest 52". It is their residential mower. I went with it, because unlike some of the other brands, the deck is the same on the Exmark commercial mowers and the residential ones. It just costs about 1/3 the price. It does a good job and I'm happy with it, but I've got some barnyard areas on the farm that I mow from time to time. It is pretty much all tall fescue and if it gets too tall, it is about all the 22 hp Briggs & Stratton can handle. For the weekly cutting on the lawn it is great though. I've been running this mower for about 4 years now. I actually looked into trading last year just to get a bigger deck and a bigger motor, but for the cost to upgrade to a commercial zero turn, I decided I'll stick with this thing until it quits on me.

Thanks.....as of right now I'm leaning toward the Cub Cadet 42"...don't really need a huge deck as my yard isn't too terribly large....just looking for a way to cut the time to mow down so I have more time for more important things like spending time with my family and drinking beer.......not necessarily in that order....

In fact...the cub cadet has a couple "cup" holders that I might be able to work on simultaneous mowing/drinking

I may need an extra long straw though since both hands are required to make these things go!

Thanks.....as of right now I'm leaning toward the Cub Cadet 42"...don't really need a huge deck as my yard isn't too terribly large....just looking for a way to cut the time to mow down so I have more time for more important things like spending time with my family and drinking beer.......not necessarily in that order....

One word of warning about cupholders on a zero turn mower... don't do a full speed turn with a full beverage in it. You WILL end up wearing it.

Spousal pity rules!

It all started with girlfriend pity and somehow I've managed to finagle that into spousal pity.

That's what she was going for. She gave it to me as a single image. I may she if she'll send each icon separately so that I can set them each to hyperlink to their respective resort.

Who wouldn't want to launch 7 nights at the beach club right about now?

As most of you guys know, I did survive Daytona...got to catch up on some things today but will post a report soon...

Needless to say it was a blast (despite getting stuck in the 18 car)..

The Petty folks have taken a page out of Disney's customer service book---they were beyond awesome!!

Morning guys... we're back from Florida. Just wanted to pop in and say hi. The weather was great, the resort & room were terrific, the family time was awesome, and just being away from everyday life was fantastic. Sadly it had to end and the regular reality of life begins once more... my desk & email box are both full of new stuff to take care of, so I don't have a lot of time today to be on here, but I'll be back around later. Floriday was great. We had a marvelous time - and of course, I'm ready to go back. Wish we didn't have to leave... I'm going through our pictures, and will post something about our trip soon.

I see we're now about halfway through VIII - not too shabby!

I posted the new Monday poll over at disdads.com. Also, somewhat related (in that the poll is about DHS) is that I need a couple more volunteers for the podcast that we're scheduled to record on Thursday. Right now, I have prattpak and DEA on board. We could use up to three more volunteers to round out the panel. This week's show is mosly about Disney's Hollywood Studios.

The weather was great, the resort & room were terrific, the family time was awesome, and just being away from everyday life was fantastic. Sadly it had to end and the regular reality of life begins once more... my desk & email box are both full of new stuff to take care of, so I don't have a lot of time today to be on here, but I'll be back around later. Floriday was great. We had a marvelous time - and of course, I'm ready to go back. Wish we didn't have to leave... I'm going through our pictures, and will post something about our trip soon.
