Every episode would end with the community getting together and pushing the General Lee off a cliff... and there would be something about Daisy.

There is no way they'd disgrace a Charger with that song. I wonder what kind of car the General Lee would have been in that case....

I'm guessing either an Edsel or a Pinto. If they wanted wanted to stay Mopar maybe a "K" car?

No, that runs best on Miller High Life, egg shells and banana peels.
I'm not exactly sure if mine if fusion, fission or, for that matter, entirely legal under Department of Transportation, Department of Energy, or Environmental Protection Agency regulations. Certainly not the latter. :thumbsup2

When working with atomic technologies its usually best to not sweat the details.
That stuff'll work itself out on the own. If your fast enough legality doesn't matter.

I dunno. Clearly IASW coming out of a Charger is sort of like Mike Tyson's voice - it just doesn't fit the package. But I'm not sure the Edsel or Pinto quite capture it either. I'm thinking something more along the lines of a Pacer or a VW Beetle.

You're right. I'm replaying old Herbie movies in my mind and IaSW would fit perfectly as his horn.

Yeah, I'm kind of thinking an old school Beetle with a hideous paint job. :lmao::rotfl2:

So I tell all the guys today - to not schedule any appointments for me after 5pm today so I can get out of here at a descent time. So what do they do?

Appointment at 4pm and 5pm. I guess it's not after 5pm but geez!

I absolutely hate working the day we leave for vacation!

Maybe a LeCar or a SmartCar

Wow, I can't even begin to catch up on all this chatter! Let the record show that the state employee was actually doing work on this fine Friday. :rotfl:

Checking in!

Made it to the airport! Our flight's not until 10am, but the kids were all up before 6am, bouncing through the halls. Had to do the final pack with each of them (backpacks, bed stuff/blankies/etc, toothbrushes) before I could shower. Left the house at 7:15, at the airport by 8am. Based on previous years, we wanted to give us 2 hours.

But there is no one here! The shuttle was empty, no line at the counter, no line at security, no line at McDonalds for breakfast. I think we did the whole check-in thing in 10 minutes, max.

Settled in at the gate now. Kids broke out their DS's & DW & I having coffee. Stop-over at BWI, then onto MCO!

Have a good day, guys!

Have a great trip Doc! I hope it's an awesome time. Can't wait to hear about it later! :thumbsup2

I found it funny you guys were talking about travel agents yesterday. Earlier this week I submitted a couple of e mails to try and join an agency for some part time work on the side. I am planning trips for 3 friends right now, I figured I might as well get something for doing it all the time anyway :thumbsup2

That was my thinking. I love planning trips and helping others plan theirs. Now I get a little something from Disney for it. (Not to mention the tax write-offs for taking vacations.) :rolleyes1

I'm really considering this too. Although a lot of the agencies already seem to have a ton of agents on their rosters. I guess the amount of business you generate is largely up to you?

FTJ has about 20 right now, until all you Dads start signing up. John we may want to warn Susanne!!!!:scared1:

Going car "shopping" tomorrow. Looking at our friends who own a Ford dealer. I dont think they have anything that seats 7 smaller then the "Bus" (Excursion). Need something with MPG not GPM. Any suggestions. We are in a Saturn Relay 3 right now. Love my Saturn but its time to move on since they did. Sad!
My wife and I met at Burt Ford. I was just a lowly lot tech who loved to race cars and whose OCD caused all our cars on the lot to be perfectly lined up and gleaming. She was the smokin' hot finance girl... Ahh... good times. Got my '86 Cadillac Cimmaron there too - best $800 I ever spent. LOVED that car.

Valdosta is a good place to stop....Lake City at 10 and 95 is a little farther south, but if you're early enough you can make it there as well...but if you're late, stay in Valdosta as Lake City tends to get really full, really quickly with Interstate Travellers...

This time of year, I STRONGLY recommend making a reservation as the hotels on the interstate fill up quickly with travellers...

I usually stay in the Valdosta Hampton Inn when I'm over there.:thumbsup2
My aunt and uncle own two houses on the ocean in Ormond Beach. If you're looking for a NICE place to stay I'll forward you their contact info. Usually then rent out the 2nd house for a week at a time but in this market they'll be happy to get anyone in it.

Definitely a Pinto or the Pacer. Maybe the new Beetle as it’s pretty much a Pacer anyway. I’d also have to add The Yugo and the SmartCar. All are pretty miserable examples of engineering.

Edsel’s only real problem (in its day) was the grillwork. When Ford reintroduced the same car with better trim work in 1960 as the Galaxy, it did fairly well. We had a K-car. Much maligned, but actually it was a very good little car (or maybe we got stuck with an anti-lemon).

I'm the pleasantly plump finance guy! :rotfl: :rotfl2:

dangit...I missed the toilet talk?
Yup. Evidentially, a Toto can flush a live chicken.

I may get kicked out of the club for making this confession, but... I don't like cheeseballs
That's OK. They're not exactly Le Cellier Fillet, but they're a good road trip treat.

Lesson learned. Next time tell them "no appointments after 4:59"

Better than meeting at Betty Ford, I guess. :confused3 :rotfl2:
