Steve I'll be keeping Allison and the rest of her family in my thoughts and prayers today.

John:cake: Happy Birthday.

Pratt wow, that pic is going to live forever on the internet now. Many years from now it may be one of the pics displayed at your funeral.

I got to spend yesterday at an internet conference with no access to the internet.:confused3 On the plus side San Francisco has this:

They have awesome meat cones.

Hey Stopher, you'd better take it down a notch or 2... we still have about 100 pages to go here! :lmao:

Oh stewardess...

I speak jive.

Yes. Yes you do… :lmao:

Decided to get all the Airplane quotes out on the thread as fast as possible so they won’t be trickling in across the day? The rest of us will just have to pick a different movie.:rolleyes1

Are you still in SF? Do you have time to go to the Presidio and see The Walt Disney Family Museum? If you do... it's a must-do!

Today was a hard day...Richards' funeral was today. Allison was of course unable to attend, but the doctors let Jacob out long enough to attend the funeral and come back. Dale told him this morning that his father had died. During the funeral I was sitting in the choir loft and could see him. There was a lost and confused look on his face and then total heartbreak. I can't imagine what was going through his mind today. Bless his heart! The church was packed and there was standing room only. During the funeral our pastor offered up a special prayer for Allison because while this was all going on she was undergoing a repeat MRI prior to her surgery tomorrow. There was not a dry eye anywhere. The procession to the cemetary was over a mile long we were told. Speaks a lot for his character doesnt it? We received a call this evening from Pastor and he told us that both Jacob and Allison were to have surgery again tomorrow. Jacob is having his jaw fixed. We did have some good news in the conversation this evening...The doctors told Dale that when they looked at her MRI this evening there has been some changes and that they feel after her surgery tomorrow she will be able to make a full recovery and walk again!! Praise The Lord!!! Please keep praying for her and the rest of the family!!! I pray the doctor is right

That is good to hear. I am glad his son got to attend the funeral. It was certainly some closure for him, I am sure.

Probably 100+ pages ago... Shhh! No spoilers! I'm waiting to watch it with DW at 9!

party::jumping1:party:

So this is my 1000th post. I want to thank all you guys for letting me be a part of this amazing group of men. Like Aaron says in the podcast intro, we are a diverse group, but we share a love for our kids, our families and all things Disney, and that is a wonderful group to be a part of. After lurking for a while on the disABILITIES section, I finally got a login in February of 2009 so that I could join the Dis Dads Club. Wanting to be less public (although I freely share my name with you all!), I changed my login a few months ago and cheated to bring my total up to where my old one was (so I really am at 1000). Along the way, I made some great friends, first virtually, and finally some in person. I have found a great deal of fun and support here and am extremely greatful for you all. Thank you. Some of you have taken me up on my unique job, and I happy to have the opportunity to help those in need and to give back to this incredible community. Please email me if you ever need anything. I know that I plan to continue to rely on all of you for laughs, for venting or for whatever else it is we do here. Looking forward to expanding our friendships over time and in person. Thanks, guys!

Great post for 1K! Glad to have you a part of our group!

Top of the morning gentlemen :thumbsup2

I just wanted to say thanks to all of you for allowing me to have an outlet for my Disney addiction. I have laughed more reading this then I could have imagined. We have shared laughs, struggles and joys. Even though we may be seperated by miles and modem cables (they still use those, right??) we are bonded for our love of family and the dream that Mr. Disney brought to life. Cheers fellow DisDads :drinking1

Welcome to all of the new dads as well :thumbsup2:cool1::thumbsup2

Congrat on #500!

:rotfl::lmao::rotfl2:

I was just having fun seeing how many I could get in before anyone else posted something. Just sitting in Chick-Fil-A enjoying a little quiet time after an early morning Men's Group breakfast, and before I head home to start working. I knew it wouldn't last too long...

No I took a red-eye last night to Chicago. I have a quick meeting here and then it's back to NC. I wish I had time to do fun stuff when I travel.

For a moment there I thought you’d decided to start the race to the finish on page 150. :lmao:

:bday: Happy Birthday John! :bday:

Congrats to all the post milestones going on....I hit 200 the other day and didn't even realize it! :thumbsup2

I'm in dire need of some support here guys....I have three days of work to go...just not sure if I can make it through! :rotfl:

Any tips for staying awake while driving 17 hours through the night?!?

Must be an Ohio resident vacation spot!

I could make a snarky comment here but won't...:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Everyone (including me) in the Lake household is sick....I'm the only one at work though, DW and Gman are crashed out at home...:surfweb::surfweb:

Good thing I can hide in my office:thumbsup2

Can't believe Houston did not get one of the retired shuttles---I guess they didn't pay enough:confused3

I'm Epic win...:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Ahhh it's not all bad. Instead of exploring new places and do cool stuff, I get to take showers in airports. Okay... maybe it is all bad.

Ever seen the movie "Terminal" with Tom Hanks??

I told my wife one time---it ain't that funny:lmao:

Eating hard candy helps me stay awake late at night. I've also travelled with someone that routinely puched me and that also kept me up. Candy is a much less painful option.

Yeah, I've seen it, yeah it hits a little too close to home, no I've never been seated next to anyone that looks like Catherine Zeta Jones.
