Don, My wife and decieded that we will be hitting BG for the Yo Gabba Gabba show in April, since we have the passes & 2 nights are covered with reward points, the only thing we would have to pay for is gas, tolls and food, it's a small price to get a smile on the little guys face:goodvibes

Personally I don't think you're trying to start anything - and I don't think the mods would either, BUT, I'm not a mod, and cannot speak for any of them. It is usually better to err on the side of caution, though I have been known to share situations with my buddies here on the boards too. So there you go.

It seemed a lot of people have had "situations" recently. With how fast we were burning through pages I wondered if there was a way to keep track of them.

On an unrelated note, if you were given a harmonica as a tchotchke, would you take it home to your kids or choose to spread the joy to someone else's family?

I would definitely take it home -- and look for the guy who was furtively trying to get ride of his so that I could bring home two. Otherwise, I'd have to listen to the kids fighting over whose turn it was to play the harmonica. I'd rather hear their untrained harmonica duet. :rockband:

I brought mine home too:thumbsup2 but we are the insane people that bought our 8 year old a full drum kit.

Do you have a link to this shirt, Mike? So I don't need to start from square 1

I wouldn't know how to do that. I think it can only be accessed by going through my account, which is password protected. I don't think vistaprint makes personal designs available to the public like zazzle does. If I find out otherwise, I'll let you know.

Besides, I'm just sitting here tonight in front of my laptop checking the DIS, working on Scout Summer Camp stuff, while also trying to reconfigure our kids' computer, listening to the news in the background, and FB messaging back and forth with my cousin in CA getting an update on my grandmother.

WOW! What a slacker!:rotfl2::rotfl:

Okay.. I have this plan.. A little lipstick.. A nice dress.. I think I can get her passed off as a toddler.. she says she wants to stay at the poly too!
Any other ideas?

Off to work... or ummm, the place I hang out most days - doing things for the benefit of others, in order to feed my family (I understand the actual concept of work if frowned upon here). :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

This is really just a place holder so I can find where I left off when I get home.

Don't talk about me 'till I get back.

Cheers dads!

Get a Dr's note that says your toddler has hypertrichosis, it's been painful for your family to deal with and you'd really appreciate it if people didn't make dog comments.

i'm fine with the concept of work, it's the execution of it that gets a bit tricky.

Doing something like that is considered insane?

I’m insane?!?!?! :scared1:

Holy Peanut butter I need to hide before the dudes in the white suits come over here and haul me off to Bedlham. Isn’t there a secret room somewhere in this club house that I can hide in until this mess blows over? :lmao:

We’ll be here waiting on you when you get back. Can’t make any promises about the “not talking about you in your absence” part of it… But we’ll be here waiting on you just the same.

You've got much loftier stuff going on than me. I'm just checking DIS to figure out if we need to switch an ADR at La Hacienda (its always hard to cut through the negative reviews) and "researching" Spaceranger Spin so I can max my score out and get a button.

I can help with that!

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2
I agree. I make my living with a knife, needle and thread (and some other cool toys)!

I joked with my wife last night, that I repaired my son's pokemon plush with an interrupted mattress suture. She didn't get it, but you will!

Thanks, Mike! I can start from scratch, just need to find some time :rolleyes1

Oh, and Tim, UConn still sucks.

:woohoo: Sounds like a cheap weekend getaway! I'll see about getting up that way that weekend. Still don't have the spring soccer schedule yet so not sure when DD's game will be on the 16th... and the 17th would be difficult because that's our Easter cantata at church... plus we are leaving the 18th to head to Ohio to visit my folks. Should still be able to make the 16th though.
Pass Member Preview day is next Saturday!! :cool1: Too bad Mach Tower won't be ready then :(

Mike, when I uploaded the high res picture to Vistaprint, I got the message "low resolution". Did you get this too?

(internal monologue) Okay, Garry. Just post it. If you take a ribbing, you take a ribbing, but you should be proud of your work. A lot of guys sew, so just put it out there!

Hey dad's check out the awesome drawstring bags that I made for my daughter and a friends son who is going to WDW with us in May! I wanted a bag their size (they are 5) for the parks, but couldn't find what I was looking for. After some thought and a few how to Youtube videos, I made a stop at the craft store and broke out the wife's sewing machine. Here's what happened!

Dang fine piece of work! I can’t imagine any DisDad giving another one a hard time about going the extra mile for their kids (we’ll pound you for just about anything else, but not that ;)).

My grandmother was a tailor; my momma scratch made about half of our clothes when I was a kid; I sewed my on patches and pants hems when I was a Boy Scout; and I’ve worked in the textile industry for better then thirty years (one of the very few Americans still able to say that). I respect anyone that even remotely practices a trade.

Ya’ done good. :thumbsup2

You're absolutely right. And many of us have requested prayer in the past. Those types of requests I think are okay, I think, at least I haven't seen them shut down or heard of people reprimanded in the threads I participate in, it's the more overt discussions.

On the harmonica subject - I would totally take it home. My kids love the one I have from when I was a kid that my grandfather gave me... so having another one in the house would just add to the fun!

You know, in 7 threads, I can't recall (though my memory isn't what it used to be) any dad overtly saying he was independently wealthy and didn't need to work from time to time. Afterall, work is what makes our Disney vacations possible... it just gets in the way of it all. :rotfl::rotfl2: Believe it or not - I do work, a lot. I just also chat, a lot too, from time to time. There are unfortunately many days when I absolutely do NOT have time to check the boards - and others when I do. This week and last just happen to be times when my projects are a bit more long-term, and not "hot on the fire" in the moment kind of projects, so there's more time to be on here.
