Accidental Ownage!

On-line Mario Kart is real easy! (and fun). We'll have to set up a time. Maybe easier to setup via Facebook.

We'll have to work our way up to shooting Zombies on line with Fed! :cool1:

Duc Tape (check), WD40 (check), Super Glue (check), Bailing Wire (check)
But what to use when......................................Comcast (cable, internet, and phone) have been out for the last eight hours????:confused3:confused3

Life's best moments, when your 4 year old son brings you his wood tool box and asks "Daddy can you use these to fix the TV please?". :rolleyes1

Hey I was going to say that I have meetings up in your area next week. Maybe we can meet for coffee?

When? Which day or days? That'd be great, but my schedule for next week is pretty full already. If it were possible, that would be cool.

I'd like to nominate a song for the Dis Dad's Club, but I guess it would be a song for all the Dis Dads with a daughter. I never heard of Steven Curtis Chapman or this song "Cinderella" until I heard this song in my daughters' dance performance this weekend.

Love, love, love that song. That was one of the ones played at my Father-Daughter Dance last weekend. Very cool. I'm honestly amazed that he is even able to continue performing it after the death of his own daughter a couple of years back, but it is so very cool.

Hey, we could do a Dis Dad Mario Kart race :cool1: I can't play tonight, but my number is 3652 0942 6205 if you want to register us for a future time

I'm 5028-3813-6142. DW watching TV, but I'll register you in a minute.

I've got that one on my phone for when I'm having a bad day (at work or whatever). I fire it up, spend 4 minutes with my little angel and the world is a better place.

Give this a try: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MLYxtuC0oRk

I've never done online play before. I may hook up in the future and try to join y'all.:thumbsup2

Thanks for link help. I downloaded the 4 min video to my phone for pick me ups during the the day. Think we can add the link to the home page? That song tells me what a Dis Dad is all about.

As for online play, you have to have Mario Kart (or download it). You create a Mii Tag in Mario (go to one of the WFC links and it tells you to register). Once you have your 12 digit number, you can link up to friends. My number is above. I just need to know when you or other DisDads are online, and we can create a room and invite all who want to participate. I can add a discussion board over on the FB for #s. Unfortunately, my phone only lets me see FB posts and not the discussion boards, but at least I could use the computer to get #s. With other friends, we will call and put phone on speaker so we can trash talk while we race.

If you have a Wii and Mario Kart, see above.

I got a wii and Mario Kart...now I just have to have Ethan find the Mario kart gam e!!:scared1:

Finally I found the DIS Dads! I’m planning a trip for this October on the Dream (1st Cruise) and 4 nights at the CBR with my first MNSSHP. I’ve been a huge Disney fan from my youth, but nobody ever understood it. It all started with my Grandma in Kansas who had the Disneyland Picture Souvenir book. First thing I would do, every time I went to visit was go straight to that book and look through it for hours (sidenote: when my DG passed in ’89 my mom presented me with this treasured book and I have since shared it with my DD). Finally my parents gave in to my persistence and took me to DL in ’81. My next visit was not until my Honeymoon and my first visit to WDW. Since then, I’m sad to say the Magic left me (but still a fan) until one day at a Chucky Cheese in Amarillo of all places, while looking at their pathetic animatronics it came to me….I’ve got to take my DD to DL for her birthday, plus it was the year of Celebrations where she got in for free. I realized what I’ve been missing. Since then, I have planned how to get back and I think listening to Disney Park music all day is okay....right?

I love planning this vacation (between meetings with the Bobs) and appreciate all that the DIS Dads and the DISboards have to offer.

Dave aka Grooovertoo

Amazing how those mice talk to each other! :lmao: Welcome to the club! You are member # 572! :thumbsup2

Hah. Whoda thunk? In the midst of a day of posts about the Dis Dads Podcast, disdads.com, and park recommendations, my 1000th disboards post is about the perils of too much slamdancing. :confused3

Congrats on the 1K post! :cool1::cool1:

The hard drive issues appear to have been merely symptoms of overheating, because of the fan problem... And when I picked it up, they didn't charge me the $27 for the fan repair, even though I'm over a year outside of my AppleCare warranty. :thumbsup2

Hmmmm... just a fan... who would have thought? :rolleyes1 :lmao::lmao:

We love UNO :thumbsup2

We do too. We have so many different kinds of UNO sets... at least three traditional sets including one from my childhood that has some very dog-eared cards, Princess, Disney Parks, National Parks, UNO Attack, UNO Spin, SkipBO, and whatever kind is in our Owner's Lockers, I honestly don't remember if they are themed or regular. It's always a great choice whenever one of us picks it.

Leave it to Christopher to beat me to this post... Got an Uno Attack set last year at Goodwill for like 99 cents. DD still asks me to play every week! I get the evil laugh when it spits out like 7 cards at once! :rotfl2:

I stopped playing Mario Kart to look it up on YouTube and play it again. Sorry for the link, I don't know how to get the commercial off of it.

I had the pleasure and opportunity to sing that song with my daughter at our yearly Father/Daughter luncheon at church last year. Let me tell you, if you think listening to the song is hard to do without choking up, try singing while your 7 year old daughter is doing twirls all around you and looking up with those big brown eyes... Sheesh!

UNO Attack is awesome! Until I'm the one that it spits a bunch of cards at... then not so much. :sad2: But it does make for some fun evenings.

WOW. :worship: I don't believe I would be able to make it through that.

So I got this today in an email from Denny's... I know, you're wondering why I get emails from Denny's... but it all started a couple of years ago while signing up to get a couple of free meals at the Denny's on SR 535 near the Crossroads Shopping Plaza for our Sea World trip... and I just haven't unsubscribed to their stuff yet...

Anyway... I think they must have read through our pages in the past couple of weeks, and this MUST have been in honor of the DDC! :rotfl:

Can I get this with a side of bacon please?

I'm In!!

I did a cool thing a few weeks ago that lets you load all your disks to a hard drive plugged into the usb port. basically you put in the disk, it takes anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes to save it, then you just select it off a menu. It's all done through the SD card slot, don't need to open the Wii.

The DDMK racing league :woohoo::car::woohoo: I'm in!!! :cool1::cool1:

I added a discussion board on FB for Gamer Tag #s.

I didn't know that. It really puts those words into perspective.

For those of you not going to a Disney destination this summer (me)... what are your plans or family trip(s) if any?

My younger son and I will head to Summer Camp in June and my eldest will be working at Summer Camp this summer, so we won't really do anything as a family during the summer months, but we will fill our time with some weekend type stuff, as well as visiting with family and friends in the area (and any DDC Dads that happen to pass through - yes Mark, I mean you!). Plus both boys will have a second week of a church camp to go to... so yeah, we won't be traveling during the summer.

WHAT TIME IS IT? PAGE OWNAGE TIME.

Yikes. I got a little misty ...er...umm, dust in my eye...watching them dance. Can't imagine singing the song with them.

I love Spring. Grilled chicken & potatoes tonight. But I'm not looking forward to the yardwork... but I do have two in-house gardeners, so that's good.

Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach? Which would you choose? And why?

I'm going out of the box on this and going with Aquatica:rolleyes1

Reasons
- Have Busch SP's
- Have alot of animals, (black & white dolphins, fish, birds & other assorted wildlife
- Cool wave pool with complete beach front

Never been to TL or BB, wife has been to them and will pick Aquatica over them:confused3
