Anyone know if the in room coffee makers use standard size coffee filters?
(at POR specifically)

OK guys....been talking to Shari...a Disney trip has been on again off again for months now due to finances....so it looks like as of now it is on agian for August...6-13. We are Hilton Time Share owners, but i can try to trade through RCI into a DVC which would allow us to escape some of the crowds during the EMH. Now, we will try for a 1 bedroom but need there to be a washer a dryer in the unit. The kids are 6 and 4 so need to have activities for them to do and such...soooooo as I am looking at the RCI site I see units in Coronado Springs, Beachclub, and Old Key West...what do I try for first and why? I need information....we have never stayed DVC before...Help a brother out.:confused3

First by far is BCV. As mentioned earlier, SAB is the best pool at any of the WDW resorts. Easy access to Epcot and DHS. You are also a short walk to the Boardwalk and their nightly streetmosphere and arcade games. Have stayed at OKW but not Saratoga. Both are a little out of the way unless you plan to go to Downtown Disney (the boat ride to DD is pretty neat). OKW has the largest rooms of any DVC resort. You also park in front of your unit and not a general parking lot.

I do think that any of these would be better options than staying off site. Not only do you get EMH but access to Disney transportation, delivery to the hotel of purchased merchandise, no parking fees (unless you valet) Magical Express if you are flying in...

Good luck and let us know how it turns out. Any other questions you can PM me.

Don't forget to bring him a rose. :flower3:
Now there's a blast from the past! What was that, the 2nd thread? :rotfl2:

CRUD. The one night I fall asleep on the couch at 8:00pm, you guys tear through 5 pages, talking about everything from zombie defense weaponry to cheese and bacon covered rice to the phones at Epcot.
I think I caught some kind of cold that one of the kids brought home - sore throat, stiff joints and no energy. To top it off, we're supposed to be in the upper 30's this week with almost 2" of rain over the next day and a half.

I think I'll cheer myself up with Magic Kingdom background music.:thumbsup2

Hey guys I made it back from Bristol! We had a great time in Bristol and the races were awesome (right up till the last lap of both races...Not a Kyle Busch fan).

Did I miss anything?

Barry - sorry to hear you're under the weather. I had a nasty cold last week, as I believe you saw on FB, and have now successfully shared it with all 4 of the rest of my household. :rotfl: Usually it's one of the ragamuffins who starts it and shares it around, but nope not this time. This time it was me. :cool2:

Hey also, thanks for that disc you sent me. I got the system up and running again, and now except for an old blurry monitor that needs replacing - it's working great once more. :worship: Thank you!

Hey everyone!!

I have a question for any of our great dads that may be in the food service industry. I have a catering job Wednesday at lunch serving 85 people. I need to cook a basic rice pilaf, have any of you cooked a large quantity of rice in the oven. What is the ratio between water and rice and how long do you cook it for. For some reason rice and I don't get along.

I have checked on line and found a bunch of websites that have ideas but I was hoping for some real time experience.

Rice...what was I thinking.....I couldn't have said potatoes!:rotfl:

I only use the Uncle Ben's microwave pouches, I suggest you get 50 of those, and then dump them in a pan.

:rotfl:Love the egg layin' mama!

Oooh I love that, I am going to tell her that is what the guys on here are calling her now.

OK Question guys, I need to talk the wife into going to DW later this year... because I want to go. She wants to "save" the money. I saw a lady post a similar question on another thread asking how to convince her spouse. Most of the replies said to dress in plastic wrap and lay on his car and it would work. I tried that last night and she never stopped laughing, plus it was hard to get on top of the minivan with out the plastic wrap ripping. So any other ideas on how I can convince her ?

No help, but I did just spit coffee all over my monitor I was laughing so hard....one of my Agents walked in, looked at me and walked away shaking her heard....:lmao::lmao:

What, you didn't post that picture? That could go next to Don's colon on Version 8.

Well, what always works for me is telling my wife I'm gonna cut her off from any hoopity doopity - if you know what I mean. Works everytime! NOT :rotfl2:

Great to hear! Hope your DD enjoys her new gaming box!

Plastic wrap is sooo last season. You need to use bubble wrap! That way after she laughs and says no, at least you have bubble wrap to pop and keep yourself entertained!

Plastic wrap would have been better, more insulation, so at least it wouldn't have been so .... cold.

Tell her a story about someone who kept 'saving' their money and died before they could spend any of it. Live every day like it is your last, because you never know when your time is up. (Except for me - I know when my time is up because my birth certificate has an expiration date on it.) :rotfl2:

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

I have to stop browsing this thread while on teleconferences with judges. :rotfl2: :lmao:

Yeah, you never know what exactly you'll stumble across in here. :rotfl2:

Saving up and planning for the future are good things. But enjoying the moment is important, too. I've used this phrase before, but no one ever lay on their deathbed and said, "Gee, if only I'd spent a few more days at the office."

Yes, they do. Although, who needs filters? Can't you just use paper towels? :confused3

Bummer. Feel better, Barry! The boards are a harsh taskmaster! You've got to check them at least three times a day or you're hopelessly behind.

What, you didn't post that picture? That could go next to Don's colon on Version 8.

:scared1: Please don't! I have a strick limit on the number of naked men I see everyday: Zero!

Ditto! Good thing I came up to my office!
