I do the same thing. I try to get the early ADR as you can usually get in with no delay.

Heading to WDW next week for four days. If any DisDads are going to be there, let me know and maybe we can meet up.

Hope that you have a great time. :thumbsup2

Amateurs... :sad2:

Tomorrow is my daughter's birthday. We gave her a choice between having a party or doing a day trip, and she (woman after my own heart) chose a day trip to go see the Statue of Liberty. So, we've got all our reservations made (you have to reserve tickets to climb up into the crown) and will be heading up to NJ bright and early tomorrow.

The forecast is for a high of 37 degrees and a "wintry mix". Which I translate to "cold and wet". :headache: So the moral of the story is, don't have kids born in February. :sad2:

I'll try and do a mini-TR after we get back. :thumbsup2

I hear you about kids born in February. Or, in our case, January. Last year, DS 9th birthday party got snowed out. This year, we waited until last night to have a party at our local YMCA (multipurpose room, pool usage, very inexpensive). So, we're throwing down some pizza, cake and other goodies in the multipurpose room and at 7:00, we line the boys up to let them hit the pool. I'm getting ready to go out the door to the pool when I look and a Y employee is motioning for me to come into the foyer. When I go out there, he then informs me that someone had just puked in the pool, and that the procedure for cleanup is 12 hours closed and some major chemical treatment. They were very apologetic and offered us basically whatever we wanted. Luckily, DS had received a couple of soccer balls for his birthday, so the boys just stayed in the MP room and just played their brains out for an hour and no one was the worse for wear. To top it off, we're getting a full refund, so all in all, things worked out about as good as they could under the circumstances. Hope that your trip to the Statue of Liberty works out better :lmao:

Wow I go to California for a few days worth of business and come back to ten pages of unread posts. looks like I have some catching up to do. On the bright side I missed all the snow!

Since tomorrow is the big game I thought I would post my Chili recipe (my favorite man food) in case you guys are looking for something to make.

I still haven't decided what else to make with it. Any suggestions???? I really wish my grill wasn't covered in a foot of snow!

Kyle's Manly Man Chili

3lbs- 80/20 Ground Beef
1lbs- Ground Sausage
2- 14.5 oz cans Diced Tomatoes
2- 8oz cans Tomato Sauce
1-15oz can Red Beans
1 cup Chili Pepper
1 tablespoon Paprika
1 tablespoon Onion Powder
1 tablespoon Garlic Powder
1 tablespoon Cumin
1 tablespoon Oregano
1 teaspoon Red Pepper
¼ Masa or Flour

1. Brown beef and sausage in a large pot (I use a cast iron Dutch oven).
2. Drain grease from pot.
3. Add everything except the flour / Masa into the pot and simmer on low temp for two hours.
4. Slowly stir in flour/Masa and simmer an additional half-hour.

Thanks for the recipe. Sorry to hear that your grill is covered with snow. Sure hope that your cooler isn't snow covered :rotfl:

He guys figured I would check in quick. Been really busy with work, the family and everything else. I am ready for spring to get here and get back to doing some fishing. I also get to cross something off my bucket list this spring. Heading to Bristol for the NASCAR race. Can't wait!! It's almost as good as going to Disney.....almost.

Hang in there guys and think warm thoughts.

You are going to love BRistol!!!! I like the night race the best but both are great. We usually park at a Church close by (Avova maybe the name? not sure now) Anyway, they let you park there and they serve hotdogs and stuff much cheaper than at the track so you can eat before you get on the church bus and they drop you off at the gate. You just have to walk back to the church after the race ..but it is not bad at all.

We are heading down Friday morning and camping at the track. WE got tickets for the Saturday and Sunday race. Also camping at Dover in may for the NASCAR race. Bristol has always been one of my favorite races. Can't wait to watch it live.

OK.......you're Tim the Tool Man!
Only 5 weeks until Air Show Season! Hooyah!

being the only person in the house who likes football (im talking american....not the real game) i was a bit sad thinking about it being just me staying up late...watching the game...eating popcorn and drinking bud on my own....then i thought hey..im going to be in sole charge of the tv...a big bucket of corn and a large pack of beer :dancer::dancer::dancer::dancer:party:

Just a little ditty for y'all for tomorrow.....

Go Steelers!
:woohoo::yay::cool1::cheer2:

Ownage!

Wife is pushing my next project, my son's new room, it is a different bigger room in the house:cool1: I can't really do anything till alot more snow is gone since I have to cut alot of drywall (got a 8 car driveway, but it's wet all the time from melting snow)

This is what I have to do, remove ceiling fan and install a light, remove 1 layer of paneling, it has 2 but the other is glued to the wall:scared1:, so i'll redrywall the room using 3/8 drywall, spackel (I've redrywalled 85% of the house in the last 18 years, so I'm almost a pro with the spackel knife:lmao::lmao: plus all the auto body I've done dosen't hurt:woohoo:), paint, all new moldings with crown for ceiling, and laminate hardwood flooring.

Then have to find a Dinosaur theme to do the room in:confused3

After this I have only the bathroom to redo completely and I redid the whole house:woohoo::woohoo:, but that can wait till next year, except for a few things:scared1:

I saw this posted on another board and found it too funny not to share here. Talk about tough love! :lmao::lmao:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280625155361

I just checked it out, IMO the kids are not at fault, who gave them metal ones in the 1st place:confused3, my son has the plastic version and they are pretty wild:eek:

If you do not supervise the kids what do you expect:confused3:confused3

If I gave my son a hammer or screwdiver and left him alone, and found holes in the wall, who's fault would that be:confused3, I would have to say it was mine.

These parents are just wrong, blaming the kids for having fun, if they would have had a eye on them, there would be no where near the damage that occured:confused3

(gavel hits the bench) ruling for the kids:goodvibes
