Hey guys. I had a great time with Christian & his family last night while in MI. Pic to come soon.

So we were talking, plotting, etc, as he was trying to use me to help convince Margie they need to get back down to WDW to use their APs again before they expire in March. We kept it up all night. So a little bit ago he calls to say "thanks" & "it worked". She took time off at work, he bought plane tickets and they fly down TONIGHT! and come back Monday night.

Very cool for them! Now to try and get the same thing to work on my own wife...nah. if I hadn't just been there maybe.

Oh, and of course when I told Margie we'd be down in early April... they both said that they would probably "need" a trip in April too. it's such fun plotting with friends!

wow, that would be about his 4th trip in six months? great to hear!

Oooh, I see definite nemesis potential. Kyle, if you're not aware, several of us have become sworn nemesesisisiss. Sometimes it has to do with sports rivalries, and sometimes it has to do with...well, something, I guess. Mostly I think guys just wanted to be able to say they had a nemesis.

Of course being Canadian and living in Toronto for 6 years it's just wrong I had to move to NC to see a team win the cup!

I went to a couple of Wings games when we lived in the Ann Arbor area back in the late '90's. They were lots of fun.


Here's a picture guys from Monday morning when Brody (dadio) and I met at the Studios, and rode RnR, ToT and the GMR together. His family stayed behind at the Boardwalk to relax and go in the pool. But the pool was closed, and they were sent over to the Beach Club and Stormalong Bay! They had a great time - but I'm sure he'll tell you about that later.

Talk about spontaneous. I am really jealous - can't imagine anything more exciting than a spur of the moment trip!

On another note, for all of you DVC owners out there, what do you think about the change in DVC policy regarding the removal of benefits for those who will be buying resale vs direct from Disney? Do you think that there will be a devaluation?

Ok, I have no opinion on the Redwings/Blackhawks issue, but this picture reminds me of IU fans. They want to talk about the proud history of their basketball program and the national championships from the Bob Knight era... you know, they guy they fired and ran out of town. I don't even know how many of my friends have pictures of the banners for their Facebook profile pictures, etc. They tend to focus on history and ignore the fact that even though they got lucky against the Illini last night, they couldn't beat most 8th grade teams in the state of Indiana anymore. Granted, the Redwings are much different from IU in the fact that they are relevant.

I've got a friend several years younger than me who just graduated from IU. He always runs his mouth about how great IU basketball is. I just let him talk for a while, then I mention that if he wants to talk about history and past great players that Purdue has a 26 game lead in the head to head series and more Big Ten conference titles and once had some All-American named Wooden... then I ask him how old he was when IU won their last title. That usually shuts him up for about 5 minutes.

Thanks for that link. I had remembered that there was a tie into the number of wins required, but the details are good too.

As for the section on spin off traditions, they forgot one of them... in Chicago, we tried to introduce throwing politicians on the ice, but no one was every able to get a good enough grip on one because they were too slimy.

As for your comment about not wanting to offend being the FNG, its talk like that which will get you thrown out. Around here, we aim to offend. Well, at least we want to offend the Flyers fans out there, just 'cause.
