Oh for cryin' out loud...I believe only Philly fans are on NFL.com today...

they have a poll asking...

"Who is the best QB in the NFL right now?" (Vick, Peyton, Brady, Rivers, other)

Vick had like 51% when I voted fro Rivers.

That was just one game guys...get real. :sad2:

You make a great point, and that is exactly why I've been considering starting Rivers next week instead of Vick. I'm just glad to see both of my QB's are among the 4 in the poll though. ;)

Seriously? We are putting him in the Hall of Fame now? Better than Peyton? Brady? Rivers?

He is a great talent and had a historic game, but come on. He's had a very good season so far, but he still gets hurt too often because his greatest strength (running ability) causes him to take a lot of hits. He missed two seasons for reasons we all know and, in Atlanta, had a completion percentage in the low 50s most years - two years it was below 50%.

I am glad he is finally realizing his immense talent, but let's not get carried away here. Also, the Giants defensive front is a bit more athletic than Washington - Haynesworth looked like he would rather be chasing cheeseburgers than Vick last night. The Eagles may still beat the Giants, but I think the game may be a tad closer.

Just voted a 2nd time...Vick still has 51%...Brady/Manning both has 16...My boy Rivers just has 7%...other is at 10%

Rivers gets no respect. :sad2:

2900+ yards after 9 game...if he keeps this up he will be like at 5200 yards by week 17.

So...who else has that Epic Mickey game for the Wii on their Christmas list???

:thumbsup2

Good points. I live in Eagles country ( I am not an Eagles fan) and I'm getting it from all angles right now. Yes, he is doing well, but let's not hand him the MVP just yet.

I would take Peyton, Brady or Rivers anyday as they have a track record of success. Maybe Vick will get there too someday but he needs to have multiple good seasons to be considered with those names.

Maybe you'll get to watch him do that to Le Cellier Dwellers next week. :rolleyes1

Yeah! I can't wait!!

Wait a minute...

I agree. You can't put him in with those names yet. Still, the guy hasn't thrown an interception all year, his completion rate has never been higher, and he's obviously become a weapon in the passing game as opposed to just a running QB. I never dreamed he'd ever play like this.

It will be interesting to see what happens vs. the Giants next week. Their front four (aside from last week) has been playing really well. The Eagles' OL still scares me.

It will be a good challenge for him for sure. He is having a season like I don't think anyone expected or any Eagles fan ever dreamed. My friends are huge Eagles fans so I'm happy for them.

:lmao: welcome to my world nate. eagle fans go through this every year. evey year they declare another player the second coming and every year, as it has the past 50 years, it all ends in a bitter, name calling, finger pointing defeat. the last time they played the skins, thats what they wanted to do to the head coach, big andy!! skin him!!! its not pretty. im not even much of a nfl football fan but living close to philly, all the local news and philly news is what you get on tv. than there the eaqle post game show with the govenor of pa, known as "the govvv." and his side kick who rode some other teams bench to win a super bowl, talk about the game. (he should spend more time fixing our roads, schools and taxes other than worring about football but thats just my take on it.) than you got these people, who, by the end of the year, go home quietly!!!!:lmao: birdsfan may be in here!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-IXf3nGBigQ
every morning, channel 3 news, for years during football season, i have to listen to this. mind you this team has won nothing in 50 years but a grant from the pa tax payers to build a stadium!:lmao: got to give the eagle fans credit, to root for this team year after year. i forgot, there is another song called cry eagles cry but due to the eagle fans after getting beat by dallas last year, again, i cant link it here on the dis.

So...who else has that Epic Mickey game for the Wii on their Christmas list???

:thumbsup2

It's on my list but I'm not sure it will make it till Dec 25th without getting opened. Watched the full trailer for it last night (the one that's about 6 or 7 minutes long) for about the tenth time.

ESPN.com has a similar poll, but it is for MVP...

Manning 30%
Vick 46%
Brady 17%
Roddy White 8%

I know the numbers add up to 101% but I copied the numbers exactly as they were after I voted in the poll (for Peyton btw).

Given those choices I'd go with Peyton as well.

Still would vote for Rivers over him this year though.

I think Josh Freeman should be considered as well...at least from a team perspective.

I like Freeman a lot... not sure he's quite MVP caliber yet though. Also, not to take away from Rivers, but I'd still have to go with Peyton just for the simple fact that he's winning games with only 2 WR that were on his opening day roster, a #2 and #4 RB and a #3 TE. I know his numbers aren't what they normally might be, but the success he's had with that mix & match lineup is pretty impressive to me.
