Its the beginning of the week so I think it would be this weeks beginning, or the day after the end of this week, or the start of the week that ends next Saturday........

Where are all our lawyers when we need them???

That's where the French have it all figured out. Calendars in French start on Monday and end of Sunday. I think it's the same way for most of Europe.

Got a question for you guys.

Since a week runs Sunday through Saturday,Why is Sunday part of the weekend ?:confused3

If you have a good Sunday would you not consider that a good start to your week?:confused3

Or if you have a bad Sunday would you consider it a bad ending to your week?:confused3

I think Fri & Sat would be considered the weekend, since the pay week starts on Sun (at least where I work) I would think that would be the beginning of the week. Yet most places pay overtime for working on Sun. It may be neither and be considered the day of rest:confused3

Yeah, but they also use a little thing called the "metric system" and play "soccer" They're all just fads that will pass with time. :rotfl2:

Hey! I think we just saw the same movie at the same time! Maybe we should get t-shirts or something! :lmao::lmao: My favorite part was when they picked up one of the minions and used him as a chem light. :rotfl2: Yeah.... I'm twisted.

:thumbsup2 T-shirts! Love it.

I'm not sure what my favorite part was, I'll have to ponder that. There were many great parts. Hmmm....

I got a couple of the "Golden Collection" DVD's of Looney Tunes for Christmas a couple of years ago. Now my kids are hooked on them. I couldn't be more proud. :thumbsup2

I know how you feel. Both of my kids (DS16, DD20) tell me that they miss the Looney Tunes on TV. Gee I can watch the Banana Splits on BOOM, as well as Huckleberry Hound and Quick Draw McGraw, but no Looney Tunes.

Sorry I haven't been around for a while, but just got back from Boy Scout Summer Camp this weekend. Had a good time, but man was it hot!

On a sad note, if any of you remember me posting a few weeks ago about the story Maroo (Mary) had about the family they were trying to get to WDW over Labor Day. Maroo does a lot with Make A Wish, and provided some info for us when we did the GKTW fundraiser here on the DIS Dad's Club. She was trying to organize a trip for this family but the funds have not been coming in as needed, so it appears that they have had to postpone the trip until another time. She had some good deals set up for them, including free dining, but now that we are getting close to the decision day she felt the donations were too far from the needed goal to make the trip happen.

Thanks to those who contacted me about helping with this worthwhile cause. I will let you know when I hear the plans for putting this trip together in the future.

I have to admit, I love the idea of a Dis Dads group! I was laughing my butt off reading your criteria and man laws. I actually have a little "Man creed" that I say with my 5 yr old son pirate: Can I sign on up??

Welcome to the club!

Serious question for the group:

I'm on vacation with 7 other families at the Outer Banks with very old friends. We've been doing it for 6 years (33 people & 2 dogs). One family is new this year (known only to one other family). I'm a pediatrician, and I noticed that their 2 year old has classic signs of a rare genetic disease -Williams Syndrome. Frequently this goes undiagnosed, & it is clear from my conversations with his parents that they have no idea.

Here's my question: Do I tell them & how? My wife & I think I should tell the family that invited them & have them make the approach, but I'd love to have some advice! Thanks for your help!!

Does this particular family know you are a pediatrician?? If so I would approach them privatley and just start a conversation. Then work into has your pediatrition ever noticed or mentioned....... and then let it go from there...If it were me I would rather hear it from a professional instead of the friend of a professional. Keep us posted
