:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Oh, and I went and done it boys, I jumped in the Weapon Detection thread in the Theme Parks Section, especially when the Aussie who started it decided to make it an "Americans shouldn't have guns" thread....

Wonder how long before I get dragged to the principal's office this time:rotfl2:

I chimed in as well.:thumbsup2

Well, we're back. Got back in yesterday evening about 8:30 give or take a few minutes. Was wiped out today and had to get some chores done around the house and get unpacked. This is the first chance I've had to get on here. Dang laptop that I took with me messed up and I couldn't get my phone to log in to this site, so that meant no updates for the week. I'll begin work on a TR sometime this week, and I'll have a few minutes since the kids are headed to my sisters house for a few days. DW actually remembered the camera this time, so I'll actually have some pix to share.

ETA, I'm actually trying to post a picture in this post, but not having any success. Can anyone help a brother out here??

Welcome back! Hop you guys had fun. To post pictures, you need to host them at another website (Picasa, Photobucket, etc.). You can pull up your picture on that website and then right-click to copy the web address for your picture. Then switch over to your DIS thread and click the button that looks like a postcard with mountains (holding your mouse over it reveals the "insert image" label). Click that button, and it should give you a window to enter the web address for the picture. Paste the address you copied into the dialogue box, and then click "OK". It should show up in your post. You can preview the post to make sure it worked ok.

And for my OWN stuff:

4 days till ADR'S:banana:! So, what's the website, and do i need to do a "trial run" first? And, will i get Le Cellier for dinner the week of Dec 27?:confused3

ADR's can be reserved here:

Disney Dining Reservations Page

I suppose you could do trial runs if you wanted, just to make sure you know how it works. It's pretty easy to use. As far as getting Le Cellier, it's luck of the draw. But you'll have a better chance the earlier you make your reservations. I believe the online system opens each day at 6:00 a.m. Eastern. Good luck!

Hey guys,

Just got back from a week at AKL, mostly solo. Picked up DD at soccer camp on Friday and we spent Saturday touring the parks. It has been a long, crappy month and a half but a week away recharged the batteries.

Don't know if I am going to do a TR but if I do, I will let you know where.

Hmmmmmm, 10 DISDads, contributing $200K each, could buy a nice home and have money left over for a maintenance fund. Each family gets one month/year. Raise additional maintenance money by renting the other 8 weeks/year. Sounds like a winner to me. :thumbsup2

I can do 1.5m Somali Shillings. Do you think Disney would go for that one? :rolleyes1

At this point, they all sound like viable options to me. I keep wanting to move to Florida, but DW tells me living in Florida would not be the same as vacationing in Florida, as I would have to go to work. I looked at the WDW jobs posting and found one for a lifeguard. $10 an hour is a cut in pay, but maybe I can negotiate Golden Oak into my benefits package.

Tues. it looks like we will be in PA at SP to hit some water rides:woohoo:

You are just a popular fella these days!!! Look at it this way...it was free food!:thumbsup2

Steve, it didn't make the Dec event list, but I'd still like to try to catch up to you before you leave WDW maybe at DTD (I think you said you were staying across the street, and I pass it on the way in):confused3

Maybe you can try to plan some of the same events with the other Dads going while your there:confused3

We will have to try and work it out. The last night 12/4 we are eating at T-Rex to celebrate EThans 6th birthday. Hopefully we can meet up there or something...We are staying at the Hilton Condo close to Sea World. Only a few minutes drive.

Well, we took the girls to see TS3 today. There was that same substance in our theater near the end of the movie. I must say it was really good, but I still like TS2 the best.:thumbsup2

Well we are back from our Outer Banks vacation. We had a great time. The weather was HOT!!!!!!!! So hot to the point where we could not have the baby on the beach. I'll post some pictures and a small trip report later.

Well we survived the DC Experience and have made it back to our patch-o-dirt on the Carolina boarder (I’m taking today off as well to rest up from all my resting up ;)). The drive wasn’t that bad; seven hours give or take with the various traffic interruptions. For us, it’s just about the same as driving to Orlando (and as it turns out, almost exactly the same amount of Benjamin’s to pull it off as well :confused3). I highly recommend the trip for anyone with kids in their teens. That’s the time for them to get the most understanding of what they’re seeing and be able to remember it as well :thumbsup2.

Our last day up there was spent at the Udvar-Hazy annex of the Smithsonian Air and Space museum at Dulles airport. For guys & air history buffs, this is the best of the batch, although you do have to make a track off the beaten path to get there. Be warned of two things when driving out to Dulles, first: the toll road is not that expensive ($1.75 in total), but to use the “exact change lanes” you must have quarters, and… they have a tendency to cheat you out of several of those quarter, so you may need extras (better to go through the “Full Service Lane” and force a human to actually collect the correct fee); Second, (and this one surprised me) like all Smithsonian museums, admission is free, but parking is $15.00 , so have a little extra cash when you head out that way.

Well… enough of my yammering on. Here’s a few pics to give you and idea of what's going on out there

The “Blackbird” that they make sure you see first off (and with good reason)

The HiddenMicky – ComSat (Who knew!)

And… a couple of pictures to give you an idea of the shear scale of the place
(these show you about half of what’s there).

Rob, nice pictures! Thanks for sharing your trip with us. I really need to get out to the Air & Space annex one of these days. It looks really cool! :thumbsup2

Me Likes the Stealth Aircrafts....you can't hear or see them until something goes boom:cool1::cool1:

Even then the sorry rascals deny they were there:rotfl2::rotfl2:

So, I found more on the DisneyGoldenOak.disney.go.com
The cost is about $1.5 million. Anyone have any free money they can give me?

Hey, I've gotten it taken care of! I just got an email from a guy somewhere in Africa who has inherited a family fortune and needs help getting the money out of the country and into the U.S. Untold riches could be ours if I just give him a bank account number to wire the money into. What do you think? I can't pass this up, right?? :sad2::rotfl2:

Don't bother. I've been helping him for over a year now. I've sent him over $23,000 to help with incidental legal fees, filing fees, and bank fees, but he assures me that everything is almost in place to get the "millions and millions of US dollars" wired into my account. :woohoo::woohoo:

You guys laugh, but you have no idea how many cases I've worked where people actually BELIEVE this stuff...then have the nerve to ask me "when do you think I'll get my money??

Well....when guys with red faces, horns and tails win the Stanley Cup---and no, I don't mean New Jersey..
