I hope my Wife doesn't surprise me with a golf outing. It's supposed to be 100 degrees tomorrow!

I'm hoping for just a relaxing day at home with the kids, fire up the grill, drink some brews, maybe head to the pool.

hey guys, sorry havnt been around. im in philly with dw. she had her surgery this afternoon. the dr. was happy, he feels its a noncancerous mass! (he will know more after the test results but he said hes betting on a non cancerous mass.) it seems to be a (huge word that i couldnt spell anyway) mass that is treatable with out more surgery and she will be able to keep her eye!!! he said they will probley do some radiation therapy which is no biggy as per the dr. to keep it from spreeding to her good eye which is not affected!!! and man, it looks like some beat the heck out of her.shes gonna be bruzed up for awhile. they had to make an insision above her eyelid, move her eyeball to the side and take a sample of the mass that was sitting deep in her eye socket on the optic nerve. thanks eveyone for your prayers and well wishes!!! i should be able to bring her home tomorrow. ill keep you guys posted. thanks again for eveything!!!!

For all the Dole Whip lovers out there, I found this recipe for the mix for anyone with an ice cream maker. I'm hoping to try this with our son's ice cream maker, if we can find it in all the boxes in our garage!
Ingredients:
1 qt Pineapple Juice (Dole, of course)
1 tsp Vanilla extract
3 cups whipping cream
3 cups sugar
Milk

Directions:
Mix Pineapple Juice and sugar until sugar is dissolved.
Add Whipping Cream and Vanilla extract.
Poor mix into the Ice Cream Maker.
Add milk to the "Fill Line".

Follow directions for your Ice Cream Maker.
Serve as is for a "soft serve" or put in freezer.

If anyone tries this (trennr), let me know how it works!

Hey guys. An early

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to you all!!!!

I will be heading out early tomorrow for a week of fun, adventure and excitment deep in the woods of Southern Indiana with both of my sons and our Boy Scout Troop for Summer Camp. We've been packing the past couple of days, and now I'm trying to finish up a few things this morning on here prior to being treated to a Father's Day lunch today. (I'm sitting here listening to the scurrying about and whispers of three kids excited to take me out today).

I've been a bit scarce the past week or so, but that's because I am the Summer Camp Director for our Troop, and I've been very busy. 6 months of planning and preparation all culminating in our departure time tomorrow. The last week has been hectic like crazy, getting ready to be gone for a week at work, and getting ready to take 77 Scouts and 32 adult Scouters off into the woods for a week. Fun stuff!!

I hope you all have a great day with your kids, and FED - even though you can't be with your little man tomorrow, thank you so much, once again, for your service. I'm praying you'll be home on time in just over 3 months, and everything will be a-ok for your return. Be safe my friend.

Oh come on, you know it is only an hour a week job!!! That is normally what I'm doing the week around Father's Day, but this year we had to push our week of camp back into July. Hope you have a great week, everyone is safe, and the weather cooperates!

Yeah, I was hoping for a quiet day at home, watching some College World Series on TV, but now it looks like DW has volunteered us to do meet the In-Laws and eat together!

Well the plan today was to take the FIL out too see a movie (Karate Kid is what he wanted to see.)...but he wasn't feling too good... so backed out...which left us w/o any plans today...so we went to see TS3. Which we had planned on skipping on opening weekend.

Those guys at Pixar sure know how to tell a great story. from my family.

So tell me what I have missed and who needs added to the list of Dads and where we are from???

New to the thread. Just finding this thread after about 6 mos of looking around Disboards. Looking forward to participating.

Went to WDW as a kid once about 20 yrs ago. Just went back in March with DW, DS(5), and DS(3). We had a BLAST! Already planning next trip (poss early Dec or Feb/Mar).

We stayed at POR. We loved pin trading.

Happy father's day to all. I just got a Cuisinart ice cream maker from my crew for father's day, and can't wait to try out the dole whip recipe!


PS, we saw ToyStory3 yesterday... it was great!

just want to thank everyone for there thoughts, well wishes, prayers the last month for dw on here and facebook!!!! shes in some pain but with the good news we got, shes still smiling!! we go back to philly on wednesday for a check up and well go back in a few weeks to find out about the radiation therapy. the radiation is just to kill the noncancerous mass so it wont grow and or spread. if you or anyone you know ever has any problems with there eyes, wills eye hosp. and jefferson univ. hosp. have the best dr.s in the world. with my family members, i spent alot of time in hosp. all over pa and the drs., nurses, aides even the dude who emptied the garbage cans in the rooms couldnt do enough for dw or myself. they treated us like we were family!!! even the local philly retirees sitting in the cafe were cool. they have no idea who you are why your there but if you need an ear man, they were there with hello and, and i quote " aayy, doin ok today buddy??" i miss those guys!!!! i love when the started arguing over the mayor! i never laughed so hard in my life!!!! anyway, thanks again everyone!!!!
