hey guys, sorry havnt been around. im in philly with dw. she had her surgery this afternoon. the dr. was happy, he feels its a noncancerous mass! (he will know more after the test results but he said hes betting on a non cancerous mass.) it seems to be a (huge word that i couldnt spell anyway) mass that is treatable with out more surgery and she will be able to keep her eye!!! he said they will probley do some radiation therapy which is no biggy as per the dr. to keep it from spreeding to her good eye which is not affected!!! and man, it looks like some beat the heck out of her.shes gonna be bruzed up for awhile. they had to make an insision above her eyelid, move her eyeball to the side and take a sample of the mass that was sitting deep in her eye socket on the optic nerve. thanks eveyone for your prayers and well wishes!!! i should be able to bring her home tomorrow. ill keep you guys posted. thanks again for eveything!!!!:thumbsup2

Anyone see the reviews for Toy Story 3 yet? It is unbelievable. They are compiled here on Rotten Tomatoes:

http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/toy_story_3/

I don't remember ever seeing a movie with well over 100 positive reviews and no negatives. Sounds fantastic. I think those folks at PIXAR just print money.

ClearScreen

I read a few of these reviews... and they are right. DW and I watched the 3D version this afternoon. All I can say is... WOW. The storyboard... the animation... the characters... everything - perfect. The opening scene sucks you into the magic right in from the start. But I did say to myself at the beginning... "is this TS3?" But in true style, the subsequent scenes tie it all together and you realize why it started the way it did.

I'm not going to give things away... but this is truly another masterpiece that must be viewed on the big screen... in 3D. I'm not much of a movie-goer... I average maybe a one movie a year. But seriously - GO! :thumbsup2 Oh... and I must warn you... they put some kind of substance in the air that makes your eyes water towards the end. Not sure how they time it, but they were right on (think Soarin' with the orange grove smell). DW just told me to say "You tell those guys that if they don't cry, you are as plastic as some of those toys..." :lmao:

Everyone clapped at the end. Yeah... it's THAT good :goodvibes

I agree with everything Don said:thumbsup2 They pumped in the tear gas where we saw it too, we had a standing ovation:woohoo: I saw a possible plot for a TS4:confused3. Was far better than I was expecting, Hands Down 5 Star + movie, a must see:yay::banana::love::goodvibes

what a relief to hear good reviews! I was afraid it wasn't going to do well, oh me of little faith! :rolleyes1

Does anyone have anything planned for Father's Day? My kids usually can't keep a secret and blab everything DW has secretly planned, but they have been unusually tight-lipped this year. :confused3

Nothing, really. Unless my family has something secret planned, I'll be watching lots of golf at Pebble Beach! :thumbsup2 (Man, I wish I had an HD TV)

I'm really looking forward to seeing this... :3dglasses

I read one review. I can 't recall the exact wording, but it was basically "One day, Pixar will make a dud of a movie. This is still not that day."

We're like Don's family - maybe one movie a year. And then it's usually a matinee. I just get a little sticker shock when I priced our family of 4 for the 3D version in the middle of the afternoon - $49! :scared1:

I get to go back to work:mad: It's going to be a real madhouse (big BBQ day)
since I haven't been there this week we will either run out of ice or have way too much. Most likely we will run out:lmao: Wife asked where I wanted to eat for Fathers Day, my choice was 5 Guys Burgers & Fries, it's not a big deal, it's my job:woohoo:

Is it just me, or is it impossible for anyone else to read the word C-A-L-I-F-O-R-N-I-A without a heavy Austrian accent? :confused3

I don’t know, I still her Buddy Ebsen’s voice when I think of that particular “lo-cal” :happytv:

It is a great set of pics though... :thumbsup2

Hey guys. An early

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to you all!!!!

I will be heading out early tomorrow for a week of fun, adventure and excitment deep in the woods of Southern Indiana with both of my sons and our Boy Scout Troop for Summer Camp. We've been packing the past couple of days, and now I'm trying to finish up a few things this morning on here prior to being treated to a Father's Day lunch today. (I'm sitting here listening to the scurrying about and whispers of three kids excited to take me out today).

I've been a bit scarce the past week or so, but that's because I am the Summer Camp Director for our Troop, and I've been very busy. 6 months of planning and preparation all culminating in our departure time tomorrow. The last week has been hectic like crazy, getting ready to be gone for a week at work, and getting ready to take 77 Scouts and 32 adult Scouters off into the woods for a week. Fun stuff!!

I hope you all have a great day with your kids, and FED - even though you can't be with your little man tomorrow, thank you so much, once again, for your service. I'm praying you'll be home on time in just over 3 months, and everything will be a-ok for your return. Be safe my friend.

Have a great week guys. I KNOW there will be lots to catch up on while I'm gone... :rotfl:

It is a very cool sig!

Never mind then. :rolleyes1

thanks! My wife worked pretty hard to put it all together in photoshop. We got there pretty early to have all these pictures taken without getting anybody else in the picture. She only had to crop out 1 or 2 people. :yay:

Live Report from the Outer Banks of North Carolina!!

We made it!!! 10 hours of driving with a 10 yo, 3yo, 5 moth old and a wife that hates driving. That tiny Saturn Ion is a great car. Going to spend the day doing......as little as possible. I love beach vacations.

I am going to spend Fathers Day sitting around drfinking a few beers, fishing and spending time with my kids and my dad at the beach.

Dave, I saw on facebook the news about your wife. That is awesome!!!!:banana:

More reports of doing nothing to follow.:lmao:
