The good Lord has seen fit to bless us with a 4th child due this September. We found out yesterday that we're adding a GIRL to the mix.:scared1: This fall, I'll have DS7, DS5, DS3, and DD newborn! WOW... where's that princess smiley face?:confused3

Awesome news:thumbsup2 Now the boys will have My Little Ponies to attack with the army men and monster trucks!
It's win win for everyone.

If the Email confirmation is to be believed, one (and only one) of last night's credit card charges went through. The Email confirmation for a payment that was sent at about 10:15 p.m. last night was finally sent out after 4:00 a.m.

This is what I love about the Dis Dads. There is always a voice of reason willing to stand up and tell us there is another way to game the system. :rotfl2:

:lmao::rotfl2:

Here's hoping it worked out ok.

We need to add fishing to the triathalon!!

Uncle Scrooge: Congrats.....cigars all around...

Holy cow it's a slow day in the DDC. The night shift is going to come in and think we abandoned the place. So let's talk summer vacation plans, Disney or otherwise.

We've got two long weekend trips planned. One is an annual summer vacation with my side of the family. My sister & her husband own a cabin on a lake near Minocqua, WI. They have a ski boat, a flat bottom jon boat for fishing, a jet ski, canoes, kayak, etc. The lake is 1200 acres and mostly crystal clear. We usually pack 15-20 people in a 3 bedroom cabin. It's cozy but always a good time.
The other an annual family get together with DW's side of the family in Rice Lake, WI. There is a quaint little 20 room motel on the lake up there that everyone stays at. It's a nice family run place with a campfire every night. And while we're up there, we have to eat at a little Italian place called Bona Casa Foods. It's pretty much a little building in the middle of corn fields, but the cheese & raisin ravioli are to die for. Yeah, I had that same reaction when DW (then my girlfriend) first told me about them almost 15 years ago. :crazy2: Then she made me try them. Now we get 3 or 4 dozen frozen ones to take home and eat.

What's everyone else up to this summer?

Our summer plans are pretty modest this year, as we're saving up for the blowout WDW trip in October. At this point, it looks like our only summer trip will be a roadtrip up to my wife's hometown of Rochester, MN in June. We MAY add on a weekend in Minneapolis, which is what we did last time. That partially depends on whether I've got enough Starwood points left for a free hotel room again and on what my in-laws' schedule for Rochester is. (Only my BiL still lives in Rochester, but Mil and FiL are coming back for their annual Mayo Clinic physicals).

If we take the weekend in the Cities, we'll probably hit the Nickelodeon park at Mall of America. DD LOVED it last time.

My parents are planning on taking us to WDW this September...but we're waiting to see if Free Dining or some other discount comes out. It's usually out by now, but they're taking their time this year. So, hopefully that will still come about. My siggy feels empty without a ticker.

We may do a road trip up to New Hampshire to visit my brother. That would most likely be a long weekend. And we'll probably have a couple of day trips to the beach or Washington D.C. That's about it.

We got a call from our Navy son a little bit ago. He arrived in Pensacola yesterday around lunch time; checked into the Navy Lodge; and then headed over to meet up with the Blue Angels. So far, he's loving it and he's met a lot of great people. Today, he helped clean the jets and he learned some other things about the canopies, etc. He really wants this so he's doing as much as he can to show them he's the person they want. He still has 3 more days with them to show them his best in hopes of being selected. :woohoo:

We're up to $850!! Keep those donations coming in!:thumbsup2

On a personal note, I got the rest of my VistaPrints order today: my Free DIS DADS hat and 10 Free DIS DADS calendar magnets! I'm really pleased with everything! :)

?

We are headed to Hilton Head in June for a week. I have never been there before so I don't know what to expect....planning to try to go and eat at Paula Deans restraunt in Savannah while we are there...any one know anything aobut that if you have to have or need reservations???

In August we are going to go to Myrtle Beach...that seems to be an annual trek. I think I need to retire to an ocean someplace!!!

In July I would like to drive to the Columbus Ohio area and see the outdoor drama Tecumseh. Have wanted to do that for years but never had the chance to get it done!

What part of MB to you stay in?? NMB, Cherry Grove, MB??? Any favorite eating places?? We also make an annual trip down there in July with my, 4, my sister's 4, and my mother (dad passed almost 3 years ago, so our 10 are now unfortunately 9). We stay in Cherry Grove and have found it to be very family friendly over the years.

If you do go to Columbus, its worth the side trip to Waldo, Ohio for the best fried bologna sandwich on the planet (and perhaps the best sandwich on the planet PERIOD). It's served at a little hole-in-the-wall place called the G & R Tavern.

They even have a wine list :lmao:

Yeah, it hasn't been good....a LOT of stress for many different reasons, sometimes I react negatively to things I shouldn't...and then have a hard time turning my "work" mindset off---sometimes it's hard being two people at once, ya know:rotfl2: I've watched a lot of guys "bring the job home" in my line of work, and it cost them........I've done a good job (so she says:rolleyes1) of keeping home and work separate, but sometimes I can't hold back:headache::confused3

Dang man, wish I was gonna' be here, I could help you out in Savannah---you will probably need reservations for that time of year!!!

DW is a Myrtle Beach Native, so I get there a lot...the picture of DS's first fish is from the Waccamaw River, which is the freshwater river that you cross heading into Myrtle Beach.
