DW called a little after 8 tonite, they were looking for a good spot to see the parade, they were standing over by Casey's Corner:scared1: Told her to get over to Frontier Land and set up near the shooting gallary, I heard one of her relatives ask if you can see the fireworks from there too. Told her for the fw's get over and set up somewhere on the fence line along the river by CP, its a great view with no one in front of you, plus there is the space gap with the river:goodvibes.

So said it rained most of the day (light most of the time) but it feels good brought the temps down to the 80's:woohoo:

Last August, we watched the Parade from near Casey's Corner. I've got to say that the IDEA of watching from there is WAY better than ACTUALLY watching from there. We were next to a lamp post, trash can, and hanging plant basket all at the same time. THEN, we had a double stroller, and got squeezed onto the street, where we got yelled at by the Mickey Police for being in the street. So, yes. I'll like to Second the "don't watch from Casey's Corner" team. :thumbsup2

I’ll have to remember these spots and try them out in December. You should post that tidbit on you’re new Commando thread.

When we were there for the MNSSHP I eyed out these spots in passing, they were great, no one in front of us not alot of traffic, alot of people tend to be on Main St or near the Castle, so they can bolt to the exit. Still trying to figure out why she even called to ask, only thing I can think of is she was being 2nd guessed:confused3

I thought you were getting her a treadmill. Oh well, maybe next year. :rotfl2:

oh, are you refuring to that black thing with a belt on it in basement that she hangs her ironing on??? is that was that is??? i thought it was some fancey rack to hang "ironing to be done" on!!! :lmao:

we do that spot also, lately, we have been camping out near the bakery on main street, by the pole that you tie your horse too. the only parades anymore we sit and watch are the party parades. we sit down as soon as the first parade is over and watch the people leaving the park.

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Great spots, those are where I always watch parades/fireworks from. So much better than Main Street.

We were trying to plan a software deployment to our stores for August today, one of the VP's actually asked if it would interfere with my Disney schedule.:lmao: I told him going forward as long as we stay away from April, June, and December we should be OK.

At least they know where my priorities are!:rolleyes1

Nice :thumbsup2 Did you happen to request a raise while you were at it (you know... to offset the raise in Disney prices)? :lmao::lmao:

I went with the wife and kids to see Despicable Me yesterday, in 3D, at the 5:25pm show by us. It was great - we all loved it. Highly recommended.

It almost started out badly. Here is what happened. We are the first to arrive and sit in the theater about 15 minutes before showtime. About 4-5 other families arrive and sit throughout the theater. Five minutes before the previews start, a mother and her son come in and sit in the row directly in front of me and my daughter and, basically block my view (she was tall) and obstruct my daughter's view. The theatre was just about empty - everyone else was sitting in their own row at least 2-3 rows away from every other group. No more than 20 people in this theatre that sits 500+ people with a center aisle and seating on the left and right. After I finish looking around for Allen Funt or Ashton Kutcher to make sure this is not a joke, I start getting really annoyed. I can see the other people in the theatre shaking their heads and laughing at what just happened because they all were watching this unfold. My wife sees my face and tells me not to say anything, but she knows I'm steaming. My daughter is now fidgeting in her seat because she can't see and I start muttering about manners and being considerate, etc.

Finally, after a minute or so, I tell my family, LOUDLY, that we are moving seats. My wife asks where and I say to the row in front of these people who just sat down. She pleads with me to not make a scene, so I acquiesce because she was right and I wanted to enjoy the movie with the kids. So the four of us moved to the row behind us leaving two rows in between. I knew it was bad then, because my wife started muttering out loud about manners and she avoids confrontation at all costs. Anyway, nobody else came into the theatre and we had a great time. As she was leaving, this woman was giving me a look. I glared at her and my face said "Please say something to me." - she walked away without saying a word.

I could understand if the movie was crowded, but this was just ridiculous. It's like when a stranger stands directly next to you at the urinal when there are 5 other open urinals. There is just a certain etiquette.

Anyway, at least she wasn't wearing a sombrero and the movie was great.

Good job in keeping your cool. Really, some people just have no clue or don't even give a hoot how their actions affects others. I'm not sure I would have been so calm at the end ... when she looked... that would have really torqued my bolts! :headache:

Thanks for the review. Not sure if we'll get to this movie while it's in the theater.
