Is there enough room in this pool for another “wide body”? Any group that chooses my patron saint and roll model as their leader and mentor is an organization I’d like to be part of. My name is Rob and I do believe that I can qualify as a somewhat Disney obsessed person (from an entire household of Disney obsessed folks).

Details:
- happily married (no… really… I actually am happy about it )
- dad of one surprising good natured teenager (although he is starting down the dark path toward moodiness :sad2:)
- ethnically, I’m a natural born Hillbilly (but I’ve been in South Carolina so long that I’ve been accepted as a “south’ner” :rolleyes1)
- food lover (which explains the “wide body” :crazy2:)
- aficionado of Monty Python, Mel Brooks and the Marx Brothers (which seems to be a helpful attribute around here :upsidedow)
- general “sports failure” (we can’t all be perfect ;))
and unabashed lover of nearly all things Disney :thumbsup2.

Our forum name is a direct “goofy-ization” of a line from the movie Forrest Gump.
(“Run Forrest… Run…”)

Thanks for letting me blather on…
Welcome!!

I have been here for awhile, can't believe I just found this group.:cool1:

Father of 3, happily married, last trip in 2008, hoping to surprise the kids this December...:yay:

I would go to WDW every 6 months if I could...
Find myself on Disboards at work far too often...

Originally from Central New York (CNY) so CNYGuy seemed to fit. I've used it on other sites and it's pretty basic but easy to remember...

Hey there guys. Just posting to sport my new signature... Check out the new trophy. :)

Also for those of you who are friends on FB check out the pics from the Stanley Cup Parade. It was intense. Sorry Mark... don't mean to rub it in...OK, yes, yes I do.

Hello Disney Dads. My wife and I are going July 18th to Disney for our first anniversary. Now while I am not a dad with kids, we have 3 cats and a dog, which are our 'kids'. One of our cats is named for Simba from the Lion King.

I fit into many of the categories. I get really excited when I see the characters. Last time we went (2008), I ran to see Chip and Dale, Peter Pan, Smee and Captain Hook and waited for Woody and Jessie by Splash Mountain.

When I went to Peter Pan, I asked him where his shadow was and without missing a beat, he (She) said the soap was holding it on great right now. And I said Tick Tock to Captain Hook, and he put his hook up to my throat.

I can't wait and wonder what characters I can play around with this time. Pluto I had sit before.

And my name is just my name surrounding my birthday (march 14).

Here is a tangent how did you pick your forum name?

I went to NC State hence the Wolfpack

Well, I am sure that I will get a few here we go again groans LOL:rotfl2: but...since you asked....LOL

We bleed green here and cheer for the Marshall University Thundering Herd!! Hence the GoHerd...1028 (Oct 28) is our wedding anniversary:thumbsup2

I misread the login and stuck my lastname in the username field and my forum name in m Firstname field :) The thing is, my First name is often mistaken as a nickname anyway. (I would have to show ID to get my name on mickey mouse ears)

:thumbsup2We have made it to Hilton Head and settled in...I-64 to I-77 to I-26? to 278? it is all a blurr! I turned over the weel to Shari in Virginia and picked it back up again at the NC welcome rest area...I have met the VA patrol wayyyy to many times and I refuse to drive in that state again! *******s! Sorry Fed LOL

Welcome to each of our newest Dads. Emma's Dad will be around soon enough to give you your numbers.

Thanks for the shout-out! I’ve seen some pretty good work over there from a lot of the folks who seem to haunt this thread. :rotfl2:

I ran across the caption contest a few weeks ago and kept noticing references in a lot of the “sigs” to the DIS Dad’s Club. Well, I finally got enough gumption to simply click on one of them thar’ links :rolleyes1, and low and behold, there are a whole passel of dads lurking around these boards (which can be a fairly estrogen dominated area :dance3:), and… y’all were actually having a great time talking about nothing in particular. That’s just way too cool ;).

Goofy - Great stuff on the caption contest thread:lmao: I lurk there for a good laugh but do not post ( don't know how to post pics:lmao:)

CNYGuy - A bunch of the Dads will be in WDW in Dec, when were you planning to go, we would love to have you join us:banana:

matt - I don't think there is any by-laws saying kids have to be human, the one is named after a Disney character so I think It will be acceptible:yay:

My name came about last trip, we meet up with some family friends for 4 hrs, He is a retired career Coast Gaurd Lt, she is a life long friend of my sister and there son is friends with my son. After the 1st hour a breezing from one thing to another and meeting characters they didn't know were there, he started saying it was like being in the CG again:lmao: In the 2nd hour he started calling me Commando, Told his wife next time we do it the way he does, we might get to see everything nextime. By the time we parted they were tired out, they had a blast and said they did more in 4hrs then they did on any given day on there trip. Now everytime we see them he calls me The Disney Commando:lmao:
We are out and about from 8am till close to 12am everyday we are there.

Chistopher - The murals that were on the fences in Fantasyland are they models of what are actually going to be built, if they are looks like they will be bringing back the lake from 20,000 leagues:confused3

I haven't noticed it on the menu, but the next time I go there I'll look for it.

What's a Bojangles:confused3

Next time you head south try the Bo and get a spicy chicken and dirty rice side and a big glass of sweet tea, you wont be sorry

I'm a Federal Agent, so DisneyFed fit for me...:banana:

Oh, and uh, Wolfpacklegion....Go Tigers...:lmao::lmao::lmao:

We're dead this year with Parker going to MLB...or at least, that's what I think he'll do---I would if it were me:thumbsup2
BOOO! you think Clemson would consider jumping to the SEC, I dont think they would want that kind of punishment week in and week out

r first initial, benn part of last name, 81 part of badge number equals rbenn81.
Yea, tried it the other night for dinner at work. It was busy so had to eat quick so didn't really have time to taste it. For me it's always hard to beat the original. I just don't think it was better than Wendys spicy chicken. But I'll have to try it again when I actually can take time to eat.
Police?

It does seem to be better if you savor it while you are eating it.
Well, I am sure that I will get a few here we go again groans LOL:rotfl2: but...since you asked....LOL

Safe trips without police stops are always good. What is this list you speak of? Is it like the list that Jay and Silent Bob have of people that gave their movie a bad review

Steve is making a list of what states all the Dads are from to see how big of a area is covered:woohoo: Go Dads!

My screen name is kind of an inside joke to computer geeks before Windows. My actual initials are CLS which was what you typed into the command prompt as the abbreviation for the ClearScreen command. Hence, I chose the alias "ClearScreen" which is simply what my initials meant to MS-DOS computers.

This is the first time I've sat down to relax today. Charity golf outing and dinner in the afternoon. Men's ice hockey game tonight (we won 6-3 - snapped a nice goal on a low wrist shot off a pretty feed from my center. Goalie thought I was going short side, but I went long side because he left it wide open). Time to catch up on all things Disney.

Howdy again and thanks for all the “welcomes”…
I’ve been out all evening playing a little bit of the Rock-n-Roll (that’s the “work” I wish paid enough to make it so I could kiss off the regular day-job, but I’ll just settle for being able to play music for folks and have fun doing it). Just now getting around to shouting back so lets see if my DIS-Board quoting skills are up to snuff…

Welcome....and yeah, we have our own little Estrogen Free Hideout:lmao::lmao:

My brother lives in Fort Mill.....recently separated, but we're bringing him and his two youngin's with us on our next trip in October...

Hope you enjoy the Asylum:lmao::lmao:

DisneyFed: Thanks for the “welcome”, I like to be in the midst of a little bit of bedlam when ever possible. I’m amazed that you have kin actually living in our little speck on the map. How old are the kids (just wondering if my boy might have meet either of them at school)? When you head down to WDW in October, I’d sure like to stow away in the trunk. As of now this is the first year in many that were not heading down that way. I’ll have to be content with the plan for next year (unless I can find extra time and a buck or two somewhere).

Welcome!!

MiJo & stopher1 (sorry missed your exact quote line): It seems like y’all have picked up a whole bunch of new aspiring members today. Thanks much for the greetings, glad to be along for the ride…

All you new guys on here...send me a PM telling me where you are from so I can update the list when I get home or get a few minutes here.

GoHerd1028: You can add me as a resident in good standing of South Carolina (but as requested, I’ll PM you with this as well just in case you don’t get a chance to roll all the way back through the thread). Enjoy you time in HH and I’ll try to keep all the local bad drivers out of your way when you start back up I-77 toward the homestead (yah, like that’s possible).

:dancer::welcome::dancer: To The Dis Dads, Emma's Dad will be around to give you your official member #'s:woohoo:

Goofy - Great stuff on the caption contest thread:lmao: I lurk there for a good laugh but do not post ( don't know how to post pics:lmao:)

Disney Commando: Thanks for the encouragement. Beginners luck may have played a part, but I think the pictures that show up on the caption thread are just so good in them selves, that it’s easy to knock out a one liner for ‘em. Of course, this also means that I’ve already set a high standard of expectation and will have to work hard to keep up with every one else. (love the story behind your moniker, it sounds like the way we go about “seeing” the parks)

Well I guess that’s enough of my endless commentary. Better call it night. Later on…
