hey dads, i just thought of this, we have a dis dad that works on an oil plateform. i think the last he was on he said he was transforing to western pa. anyone hear from him?

Hey there dvczerfs im pretty sure your asking about me. This is the first time I've had a chance to jump on here since I went up north. I am glad to say I am back home in West Texas a while, but would like to add that the area I was working in Pennsylvania was absolutely gorgeous! I was just outside Mansfield. The natives were terrific and really went the extra mile to make me feel at home. I even found a little bar and grill called Changos that to my surprise made some pretty decent Mexican food. It looks like I have around five more contracts to complete in the area so I'm sure that I will have the opportunity to learn even more about the area.

Here is a tangent how did you pick your forum name?

I went to NC State hence the Wolfpack

I'm a Federal Agent, so DisneyFed fit for me...:banana:

Oh, and uh, Wolfpacklegion....Go Tigers...:lmao::lmao::lmao:

We're dead this year with Parker going to MLB...or at least, that's what I think he'll do---I would if it were me:thumbsup2

r first initial, benn part of last name, 81 part of badge number equals rbenn81.

anyone try the new spicy chicken sandwich, right on par with Wendy's and Bojangles

Yea, tried it the other night for dinner at work. It was busy so had to eat quick so didn't really have time to taste it. For me it's always hard to beat the original. I just don't think it was better than Wendys spicy chicken. But I'll have to try it again when I actually can take time to eat.

"Badges? Badges! We don't need no stinkin' badges!" (I couldn't resist!)
When I was in SAR, my number was 929. That's the closest I've ever gotten to an official badge number. What do you do, rbenn81?

My screen name is pretty unoriginal. Mi for Mike and Jo for Joseph, my first and middle names. I wish I had picked something more Disneyish when I joined the boards many years ago.

My DIS name is really just my nickname I've had since I was a kid - but also part of my given name, ChriSTOPHER. The 1 is there for no other reason than when I joined the DIS, there already was a stopher apparently. That and I had used stopher1 (for the same reason just stated) as a screen name on a couple of other websites for about a decade, and so it just came naturally to use it again.

So for anyone interested, I have begun a TR for my quick little weekend jaunt to the World. There's a link in my signature. I can't promise anything as witty and wild as Barry's reports are, but I can say it won't take quite as long as Don's. I leave for Summer Camp next Sunday for a week with the Boy Scouts (week from tomorrow), and I must have a lot of different things sewn up before then - and this little ditty is definitely one of them. I don't need protracted piracy going on for a short little 3 night trip. pirate:

"Hey Dad, why is Nashville 12 hours further away than it used to be?":rotfl2: Awesome that you got to surprise them! Can't wait for more!

We were at the 1st rest stop on the Florida tunrpike - okahumpka - where we have stopped for carsickness before. There is a statue of Mickey in the lobby. I was hoping we could make it to Disney World, but we had to make a bathroom stop. I could hear the wheels turning in their heads.

I'm anxious to hear about how much food is too much on DxDDP. We're planning aloah show and another 2 swipe something, so, i think we're still better off going Delux.

I thought this was not possible. I enjoy big meals. We would eat a late breakfast (9 or 10:00 AM) and a early signature (2 TS) dinner (5 or 6:00 PM). Two of our days were Park Fare breakfast followed by Flying Fish. Then, we did Boma Breakfast followed by Jiko for dinner. Boma and Jiko were excellent. However, with DxDP, you get an appetizer, main course, and desert for dinner PER PERSON. Normally, we would split an appetizer at the table, and eat desert later after the meal. And, dds (8,5) can't eat off your plate as they get their own 3 course meal. We skipped lunch and still ended up with 20 snacks left, and walked out with a case of Mickey Rice Crispie treats. If you can make, then good luck. I am going to run some numbers with the regular DP for our Fall trip, using 2 TS credits for CRT and HDDR, with QS or OOP meals other days. I just can't do DxDP again.

Today is my 9 year wedding anniversary. :thumbsup2
Seemed worth sharing!

Married 9 years - happily for 2.

Trennr: Caption contest killed me...

Over at Kidani, I did get a picture of 2 watusi cattle humping. I'll see if I can upload it when I get the camera. I thought a tag line would be - these are wasabi cattle - it's a hot time tonight! That probably would not make it on the caption board. I thought of putting my head under the SELF SERVE DOLE WHIP at the Poly - a Homer Simpson reference - but chickened out.

I got my forum name when the DDs were growing up. There was a lot of "Who's you favorite Disney Princess?" So I picked Cinderella. I felt bad for the girl, only having mice and birds for friends and having to slave for those evil beaches in her own house. Anyways, one time when asked and answered, the DW say's "So. I guess you're Cinderella's Fella."

Bunch has been a nickname for a while, with my name being Brady, I got Brady Bunch a ton growing up, then that just changed to Bunch in high school.

The 24 was my baseball number growing up, and oddly enough I got into the habit of signing things (what very few autographs I signed :rotfl:) as Bunch #24. Eventually, I started using Bunch24 as my nickname online.

"trennr" is very unoriginal...at work we use 4+1+1 login name...first 4 digits of last name + first intial + middle initial

When I first started working...I had no PC at home...so when I signed up for a Yahoo account from work I just used trennr there too...and it's kinda stuck for just about every login/username ever since.

I'm a Federal Agent, so DisneyFed fit for me...:banana:

Go one tell him the rest of you name...and don't make an _$$ of yourself.

My middle name is Patrick, hence middlepat.
Congrats on you Caption Win!!!:thumbsup2

Is there enough room in this pool for another “wide body”? Any group that chooses my patron saint and roll model as their leader and mentor is an organization I’d like to be part of. My name is Rob and I do believe that I can qualify as a somewhat Disney obsessed person (from an entire household of Disney obsessed folks).

Details:
- happily married (no… really… I actually am happy about it )
- dad of one surprising good natured teenager (although he is starting down the dark path toward moodiness :sad2:)
- ethnically, I’m a natural born Hillbilly (but I’ve been in South Carolina so long that I’ve been accepted as a “south’ner” :rolleyes1)
- food lover (which explains the “wide body” :crazy2:)
- aficionado of Monty Python, Mel Brooks and the Marx Brothers (which seems to be a helpful attribute around here :upsidedow)
- general “sports failure” (we can’t all be perfect ;))
and unabashed lover of nearly all things Disney :thumbsup2.

Our forum name is a direct “goofy-ization” of a line from the movie Forrest Gump.
(“Run Forrest… Run…”)

Thanks for letting me blather on…

Thanks for the shout-out! I’ve seen some pretty good work over there from a lot of the folks who seem to haunt this thread. :rotfl2:

I ran across the caption contest a few weeks ago and kept noticing references in a lot of the “sigs” to the DIS Dad’s Club. Well, I finally got enough gumption to simply click on one of them thar’ links :rolleyes1, and low and behold, there are a whole passel of dads lurking around these boards (which can be a fairly estrogen dominated area :dance3:), and… y’all were actually having a great time talking about nothing in particular. That’s just way too cool ;).
