hey guys sorry for my absence but been without power for 2 1/2 days( snow storm took out wires).I am depressed:sad1:I get back on here and I see Zerfs is been gone also for a bit ( hope thing are OK).But the reason for my depression is everyone noticed that zerfs was not here but nobody notice I was gone:confused3Oh well there is no time for hurt I will get over it.Well the storm kind of did a number on us, lost power for 2 1/2 days( lucky I had the fireplace and frig in the igloo for us to use for heat and refrigeration). Seriously lucky I had a generator to keep the refrig and freezer going, didn't think of wiring the heater into the generator until after the first night. You know how cold it can get without heat in a house? I can tell you lol.

On the good side having no electric kind of gave me more reasons to stay outside and shovel and play with kids (as if I needed any excuse to play in snow). This old body is whooped Had to shovel My house and neighbors,mother-in-laws,mothers and her female single neighbor.Did these all twice cause snow was heavy ( better to do half at a time instead one big one). Then found some time to play with the kids,Cinderella's castle was to big for us ( really just me) to tackle so we had to go with regular castle ( needed a change from igloos). Will post some pics of the newest snowfall and our castle on FB.Then might put some here but last time I did that I got viruses from photo bucket so I dumped that(still have not cleaned up laptop).

Kids are off from school until wed so still leaves me plenty of time to add on to the castle thinking of some turrets on the sides with a big Mickey emblem on the front. They are calling for more snow on Mon night, but only 4 to 8 inches more so far.Well off to FB to post some pics and will be back in here( really not even leaving) later

glad your power is backon you WERE missed on here...it was much quieter

Welcome back, Carl, and glad to hear your power is back on! I guess we missed Dave because he's been gone a coupla weeks. Very odd for him. Maybe I'll hear more from his nephew tomorrow at work.
Your report is the first snowfall amount I've heard for this upcoming storm. I'm really getting sick of it but what can we do? :confused3

Ok guys got a question for you all.Who here like the Turkey legs at the World?I for one love em:thumbsup2,I like staying at BWV and walking into Epcot to get one or two sometimes even three of em to take back to room for a nice little chow down. Some people love em and some people hate em so what are your views? I dont eat em in the parks I always take em back to the room( mother-in-law always has a big bag). And also if you like em would you use a counter service for em now that they are $8?

Ps snow pics are up on my FB Simple castle may try to improve it today or tomorrow.

i just dont have the time for them like some do...its not that i mind the taste its that it seems such a job to eat em.at $8 a pop now i think i would be more inclined to give em a miss. now you tell me where i can get chips n gravy in MK or any of the other parks and im on em ....and by chips i mean uk chips...not crisps

I have never tried one of the turkey legs. I think they smell great and I was always wanted to try one but never done it yet.

I agree. I enjoy the taste of turkey leg but they are too big to eat as a snack for me. We also see these in the summer here during the taste of Chicago. Its crazy watching little kids walking around with one of those things. Reminds me of the Flintstones.

As for the FRIES and gravy, I'm with you, if anyone knows where we can get some of those (besides the poutine at Le Cellier) please let me know.

I'll take the award this week...

We have a corn stove and I needed to clean it out today. I did a beautiful job cleaning the stove. In fact, I was concentrating so hard on cleaning the stove that I didn't notice that the shop-vac filter was completely clogged and I was blowing ashes all over the ENTIRE house. :firefight So, we left the house for a couple of hours to let it all settle down and have spent the last couple of hours cleaning the house of ashes.

Perhaps the most unique Valentine's Day we've ever had...

Oh, by the way, while we were spending the couple of hours out of the house letting the ashes settle we went to Target. They have Up on sale there right now for $9 if anyone's interested.

See, my idiotness paid off - we just got a great deal on Up!

Oh man...that sounds like one of my trips. How bad were the ashes through the rest of hte house?

My DW and I always get the turkey legs once during our trips. We like to eat them in a park while watching the crowds pass by. Very relaxing......and tasty! :thumbsup2 A turkey leg pretty much makes a meal for each of us. By the way, we got them once in AK and we found out the local birds are cannibals! They love them, too! :lmao:

Hey Poop......how do you make a stove out of corn? :rotfl: We have a wood stove so I know what you're talking about. Fortunately, we don't have a lot of ash buildup at any one time but I imagine it doesn't take a lot to make a mess when it's being blown around by a shop vac! Oh yeah, our stove isn't made of wood. Imagine how that would work! :scared1:

It covered the surface of EVERYTHING in the dining room, living room and kitchen. It was so thick in the air that when we blew our nose ash came out...

I love turkey, but perfer the white meat. When I see someone walking around the park eating a turkey leg, for some reason the Flintstones comes to mind:lmao:

I like white meat on turkey & chicken, beef medium rare & ribs St. Louis style.

Ummm... yeah... you were gone?? :rotfl2: Sorry to hear about the power outage... that really must suck. We usually lose ours during hurricane season. Trying to stay cool with no AC when it's 100 degrees is no fun. Generators are your friend! :thumbsup2

Dude! The castle ROCKS! Does it have an interior? Or is it solid? :confused3

I built it around the igloo,in case there was any looting during the power outage I needed to keep the food in frig safe lol.But all the climbing on top of the igloo collapsed it .But heck still have plenty on snow to make alterations.

I was just thinking how lucky we are that WDW does not use ticket books anymore, like when I was a kid.
It must have been hell for our parents (my son wants to go on everything a million times) my dads wallet must have been empty by the time we left.
I don't know if they charged to get into the park or if it was ride tickets only:confused3

Yeah I think we got it alot better, if they still did tickets most likely, we would not get to go so often.
