Well well well...look whos back. Good to hear from ya, we were starting to worry!

We have gone every year for the last 4 years and I think I have been on the DisBoards that long too and I have never written a Trip report yet, but I will this time. It's about time I do it.
Although I have mentioned some of the highlites of previous trips, like having Mary Poppins help me re-propose to my wife of 30+ years. I still don't know how we managed to keep that a secret from her until then. She thought she won some "year of a million dreams prize" and I said no, just me...lol.

You need to tell her that is better then any dream she can get from disney.:lmao:

Welcome back Dave! Hope all is well. (theme to Welcome Back Kotter playing in the backround)

Love it!! Now we need Randy Jackson saying...you did your thing dog....:lmao::lmao:

:sad1:236 days.....but on the plus side in 4 weeks most of you will have been....you will all have you TR's to do re the new MAN LAW and i will still be looking forward to our trip.....watch you all go and spoil it and book other trips for the summer

Well I'm going to just put it out there NOW so I'm not defending it all later on - I will NOT be writing a TR for this upcoming trip, new Man Law or not. Sorry. This next one is a kids-free anniversary trip. Sorry. Not going to share details about this particular trip. Just not gonna happen. I will say now though that we have ADR's at Artist Point, Teppan Edo and Boma. I know we'll get to Artist Point and Boma, not so sure yet about getting over to Epcot - we'll just have to wait and see. We may not even enter a park, not sure yet. Plan on resting, relaxing, boating and hanging out at the resort. Wife loves to read, so we'll probably enjoy those awesome rockers in front of the fireplace for quite a while too, and she just got a new bathing suit for the jacuzzi - so resort-time will be taking the lead for this one. She still doesn't know where we're going either - so that's a good thing, but there's still 19 days and a couple of hours to go... hopefully the secret keeps that much longer.

And then there's the fact that you will have gone three times before I take my trip. 289 days away... Oh well... While you're stuck in the hot Florida/California sun, I'll be enjoying a nice air conditioned cubicle. So I got that goin' for me- which is nice.:rolleyes1

Let me just say right now that I truly HOPE there will be some sun to get stuck in, on at least one of my upcoming trips as I'm so tired of the snow and clouds. I hate to say it - but we've begun looking at dates for 2011 now too...

I tried but she didn't go for that...:lmao:

man, i havnt seen jeans like that since i was 5.... i all ways had patches on the knees. my mom would take my jeans that i out grew and cut patches out of them for the jeans that can be sewn.... now, for some reason, i buy jeans for dd with holes in them.:confused3 is there a reed in that mouth piece?

My mom did the same thing, but didn't sew the patches on. She used fabric glue, so each patch would have a nice ring of hardened glue around it.

Same here - patches, patches, patches. I never really thought anything of them, until recently when we were in a store looking to get some of those iron-on kind of patches to fix a pair of DS11's shorts that were worn out on the inside of the leg near the crotch but otherwise still very much usable - and the look of horror on DS14's face was amazing. I found it quite galling that he couldn't see the point of trying to get more wear out of them and thought it would be better to just buy his brother some new shorts this spring. I don't know - maybe it's just me, but that boy needs some more $$ lessons. Spend $15 for new shorts, or $2.49 for some patches to get another spring/summer full of wear... hmmm. I guess he won't be the one to be going to WDW each year when he grows up, now will he?!?!?

Yep - there's a reed in there. The kid gets full on notes out of that sax. He's completely music obsessed - that sax belonged to my grandfather. But he plays his own guitars, drums, harmonica, violin . . . Not exactly well mind you, but he tries. :)

I played the alto sax from 2nd grade to soph. in HS was in the jazz band when I stopped playing reeds were 85 cents in 1985. The only thing I could probably play still is Another Brick In The Wall by Pink Floyd.

Dave! Great to see you back! I was just about to drive up to East Lawn to make sure you were OK! Maybe try Arky's for some ribs! :lmao:
I figured you must be OK 'cause Craig didn't hear that you were sick or anything. Welcome back! :cool1:

For all you guys heading down to the World in the next couple weeks: Have Fun! :yay::woohoo: It looks like our next trip is still a coupla years away but I keep dropping hints.

When my jeans got holes in them, they became my newest pair of shorts. My low black Cons were another story......I just kept putting cardboard in them to cover up the holes in the soles. There was no way I was giving up my Celtic Cons! :rotfl: Afterall, they were about $10 a pair back then!

[QUOTEThat and 5 of the 10 10 were Chevy's]
