nice pics nate!! the first snow storm around here every year people forget how to drive in the snow.:lmao: by the time march rolls around, theres less problems. i here theres another storm coming out of the west, it will only bring rain to us for christams eve!:woohoo:looks like the great lakes north is going to get hit again.

So my in-laws decided to treat us to Le Cellier when we're down in March. It took a bit of searching on Disney's reservations site, but I was able to score a table for 6 at 1:25 on March 9. None of us have ever been there, but we're all buying into the hype as it's always been on our "we've got to do this" list. Have any of you guys been there? Does it live up to it's reputation? Any recommendations from the menu?

It's on our list for our trip next month. I'll let you know how it goes if we get our ADR. I hear the Cheddar Cheese soup is awesome.

Food is so subjective, but I can tell you that we love it there. We've eaten there twice, and it's our favorite restaurant at WDW (note: have not tried any of the super-high-end gourmet places).

Cheddar cheese soup was terrific as an appetizer. They give you bread as well and it's great for dipping in the soup. I had filet tips at one meal (it was the special that day) and a maple-glazed filet the next time. Both were extremely tender and melted in my mouth. Some of the best steaks I've had. So yeah, I think you'll like it! :thumbsup2

Been there twice myself. Once solo, once with DW and the kids. I will say that I enjoyed it both times. My DW was non-plussed, and the kids were split. Like any restaurant, it's totally subjective. I personally think that they hype over any WDW is a bit much, but it's worth a try. Glad you were able to score a reservation. Hopefully you'll find it to your liking! I thought the salmon was an excellent choice. And the bread basket is lots of fun. The pretzel bread is really quite good IMO.

Same here. We're supposed to get rain from Tues to Thur, with (supposedly) a chance of snow Thursday night. The meteorologists around here always seem to work snow into the forcast around Christmas. I can only remember once in the past 20 or so years that we've had snow on Christmas. :confused3

Nice pictures trennr! :thumbsup2 Hope everyone is thawing out up north!

:lmao: sorry to be a story hog but ,yup, christams eve 2004 we ate le cellier. it was good but we have to do it again. it was late, our adr was after the candle light process. show and it was cold. (cold enough we had frost on our windows at okw. if anyone has stayed at okw in the frost, the place isnt built to be heated.) anyway we were wrapped up in blankets and we were tired. we have tried the last few trips to get in but havent been able to.

I'm still trying to get past the fact that you have an 8 car driveway... :rotfl2::rotfl2: Sounds like a lot of work! We got just a dusting in Va Beach. Was hoping for more.... wanna ship some down for us?

Garage is in back of property, it's like a road going to the back , after you get past the house it goes double. Had it paved 3 years ago it was 1724 sq feet. Got to have some elbow room to work on the mustangs.

We get a lot more ice than snow. When it snows, it's usually gone in a few hours or the next day. When an ice storm comes through, we're frozen in for 2 weeks. Lots of limbs down, power lines go down, people living without electricity for 7-10 days... loads of fun.

Of course the highway department either salts/sands the roads when it's not needed, or wait too late and can't get the roads cleared. So, it's a mess either way. And no one around here knows how to drive on ice. I love it, but avoid other people at all costs. :thumbsup2

1999 and 2000 we had actual snowstorms, one of them was on top of ice. That was fun. That was when I drove 20 miles through the snow, to get stranded at my DW's (then fiance's) parent's house! :lmao:

Ahh Norway - and Morocco... two of our favorites! But then, I'm of Norwegian descent (my mom was born there), and my wife is of middle eastern descent (her dad was born in Lebanon)... I know Morocco is in Northern Africa, not the middle east - but the food stylings are very, very similar. Norway definitely has more than just fish...the Norwegian beer alone is worth the visit - and Morocco, wow, you can't beat the floor show! ;) The food was very, very good (at least what I ate), even though I wasn't sure what it was going into the meal :lmao: We've got BOTH on the agenda for this upcoming trip. My mom can't wait to go back to Norway (even with the addition of the princesses), and I can't wait to see my stepdad's reaction to the belly dancer. He might not care for the food, but I'm positive the entertainment will be right up his alley.

Did any of you guys go to the Busch Gardens in Va. Chirstmas Village? My wife wanted to go, I didn't want to drive 6.5 hrs without knowing if it was any good or not. :confused3

Have SP and go for a few days 3 times year, June, August, Last week of Sept. for Hallo - Scream.

We have not actually made it there this year, but our neighbors said it was fantastic. Just make sure you get bundled up (In Virginia standards) to brave the elements. I've heard from several people that this event is a must-see... we are season pass holders, but just don't have the time this year :confused3

WE DID IT! Finally pulled the trigger on our 4/27 trip to WDW!:woohoo: Officially 126 days, baby!
:dancer:party::dancer:

We ate a Norway a few years ago. I had meatballs (Kjottkake). I asked the Norwegian waitress several times how to pronounce that. I'm pretty sure I can't type here what it sounded like to me, but neither syllable would be appropriate for kids.:rotfl2:
Oh yeah, and the meatballs were delicious. :thumbsup2

OH YEAH - one of my favorites. My grandmother used to make them a lot when I was growing up. Now I do, and my kids love 'em! Your spelling isn't that far off. Phoenetically, they don't sound good... but man oh man, they are great.
