Oh boy, here we go....Bought a new Glock 22 (.40 caliber) on the Law Enforcement Program (hasn't arrived yet, I ordered with Night Sights, so it takes about a week or so). Bought a Sig Sauer 239 9mm from a buddy of mine (has less than 200 rounds through it--and he takes care of his stuff).

Ordered a 10.5 inch barrel AR15 to play with, but that will take a few months for the paperwork to clear...:cool2:

Ahh, yes tools of the trade...

********Public Service Announcement*********

To the lurker who's jumped on my case about me talking about firearms here (and you know who you are)---I only post this because I was ASKED

********End Announcement***********

Honestly with arriving just in time to travel for Thanksgiving, then the 4000 page Honey do list, that just seems to grow no matter how much I get done--plus a couple days of decent bass fishing, that's all I had time to fool with. I'm not sure if I'm going to go through with the Mustang or not right now:confused3:confused3...(I know, I know I can hear the boos already)

I have a nice bass boat, but the Merc Warranty is up in two years, and I'll need to be replacing it so I'm banking cash as I go....:woohoo:

I'll post pictures of my "minivan" tomorrow:rolleyes:

:thumbsup2 your new toys sound like fun!! the ar15 sounds intresting. cant wait to see the pics of the minivan.:lmao: just remember fed, if it wasnt for fine american men and women like yourself there wouldnt be a disney world or a disboards. thank you for your service and your m16!!!:thumbsup2

It's a short trip, living only three hours way, we can afford to do a quick 4-day trip every so often. We're staying at ASM, figure rather spend the money in the park than in a room we'll never see. We arrive the 24th, cruising around the world that day with a stop at DTD and then a visit from Santa at the resort in the evening. MK on the 25th, breakfast at the castle. 26th we're going to ICE and dinner @ chef mickey's, 27th back to MK to do all the things we missed before, lunch at crystal palace and tickets for wishes dessert party. Monday the 28th we come back after breakfast at the Beach Club.

I'm sorry to hear about your sister, and all the circumstances. I lost my mother to cancer 15 years ago. The holidays are always kinda rough. I'm sure the disruption in your traditions will be as well. I completely understand wanting to 'step out of reality', and The World is the perfect place to try to do that. :thumbsup2

That's totally awesome! I'd love to have that many people at WDW at one time. Welcome to the club! You are member # 399!

#400!!

You MUST be a DIS Dad to be waiting to sign up just to be #400 :lmao::lmao:
Actually... I think the consensus is... the 400th member is hazed by your choice of the following:
a.) A round of beer for all the DIS dads
b.) Purchase first tank of gas for the DIS Dads Club Bus
There were more... but I've forgotten! Help me out here, guys!

:welcome: WELCOME TO THE DIS DAD'S CLUB! :welcome:

You have been added to the DIS Dad's Club list :thumbsup2

Welcome new Dads.

Wow... we hit 400! :yay: What's our next goal?
:lmao:

The Dis Dads are now listed on the Dis Countdown Clock for Dec 2010 trip 12/04/10 - 12/12/10 (gave us a couple extra days).

This is a great way to promote our club. No matter when you are going to WDW even if it's for a day or two list your trip on the clock as The Dis Dad Club #--- (also go back and put your kids or family name, they get a kick out of it).

If enough dads do this it should create some hype. With the ? Who are the Dis Dads, attract some new members, and I'm sure some Disney people check on the countdown list time to time, this could be a win win all the way (and it's free).:goodvibes:banana:

I'd put the link on, but I'll admit I have no idea how to do it, pc is still kind of new to me:lmao:

I'm sure one of the guys from The Dis Dads In Dec. page can help me out and post the link.

Also anyone interested in the Dec trip planning, click on FreezinRafiki sig, Dis Dads In Dec. All ideas are welcome:idea:

WELCOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All new Dis Dads:banana::cool1::dance3::yay::woohoo:

Hey guys...my wife found this website and it is pretty cool, especially if you have little kids. You can customize a video from Santa to your kids...incorporating whether they have been naughty or nice, what toys they have asked for etc. My DD4 thought it was the most amazing thing. Check it out...

I did this yesterday and Ethan just about had a fit to think that Santa was talking to him!:thumbsup2

I am a Dis Grandad who just dicovered this thread. I have been a Disney fanatic all my life and started taking my two kids to WDW in '72. Now there are six grandkids to share it with. The whole family makes a Christmas trip to WDW each year and navigating twelve of us through the parks and restaurants is a fun challange. DW and I also make several trips a year just for our own fun. I know I qualify to join your group since I am the biggest kid in the family when it come to Disney, from my Mickey Mouse watch to my Goofy neckties. It is great to know there are other guys out there who can't get enough Disney.

Alright! Another DIS GrandDad! I thought I was the only one! Welcome!:thumbsup2

Sign me up! I found this thread a few days ago and thought I'd fit in with some like-minded Dis Dads. And with my December 2010 trip in the works, I have to join, right? It seems like a lot of you are going then. If I timed it right, I may be Dis Dad #400. Do I get a commemorative mug or something?
I've been a Disney nut all my life. The wife doesn't exactly embrace the Dis obsession, but she does tolerate it though. I'm teaching the three little ones well, so someday our collective fanaticism will make annual WDW trips a tradition like I grew up with.

#400! Free beer! :drinking1
Welcome!

MY SON IS GROWING UP TOO FAST FOR ME! My son, who will be 10 Dec 30, just found out Sunday in church that Santa Claus is not real (long story). I know he is still a kid but I am missing him being a little kid already. He knows the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, and Santa Claus are not real but you can not convince him that Mickey Mouse is not real. Hopefully that piece of Disney magic will still be there for our trip in March.

In short DIS Dad's...enjoy the sleepovers with daughters and parties with 4 year old boys running around :scared1:. The time goes by so fast. I only have one kid and I am missing the "Little Kid" days already.:sad1: That trip we took to Disney for his 8th birthday is becoming more priceless by the minute ( trip report below).

Nope. We get the commemorative mugs, you get to fill them up with the frosty adult beverage of your choice! :rotfl2::rotfl2:
EXACTLY!!!!! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Anyone getting thirsty?

:welcome::welcome:

I think the consensus here is no Molson Canadian, Bud Light, (or anything like that)...

Richmond, VA can be on the way to WDW for many of the DIS dads. SO when that party bus gets fires up we'll stop by and 'claim' our drinks! :lmao:

At least your kid made it to 10. My DW decided when DD was young that she would tell DD that Santa, Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy, etc were all not real :sad2: But DD and I still have fun making believe... which is still cool that she'll do that with me despite knowing the truth.

BTW... my DD turns 7 on 12/31! I can't believe it... where'd all the time go?? :confused3

WOOO HOOO Number 400:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

SOMEONE GET THE MUGS OUT OF THE FRIDGE, IT'S "O-BEER THIRTY":lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Well, not yet, but it's gotta' be 5 o'clock somewhere

I think my 10 yr old is playing along at this point, we havent confirmed or denied anything. I think he figures that the gift count will go down once he "figures it out".:lmao::rotfl:

The must have been some new years eve how close to midnight was DD born?

She was born at 11:32 AM. 14 hours of labor... boy was I tired! :lmao::lmao: DD was about 3 weeks premature, too. So this was a complete surprise to all of us... and it was sure nice to get that tax break!

What do you mean Santa is not real. He is real, I saw him at Disney World.:rotfl: By the way, I'm a grandpa too.
