We arrive on the 1st and will be there through the 11th. Usually with the kids we hit a park every other day and let them rest up between park days so we dont tucker them out too quick. I think we are going to go to one of the MNSSHP on either the 8th or 9th whichever one has the best weather forcast and dinner at Whispering Canyon on the last evening before we fly home EARLY (7am) on the 11th. We jut play it by ear with no real plans...

My parents are trying to decide ( yeah waiting to the last minute) if they want to go or not with us. I am not like my Dad and just pick up and go and the last minute... I have to have something to look forward to for months in advance LOL. This is our 1st of three trips in the next 6 months...NYC in December and Disney Cruise in March...then back to Myrtle Beach in July next year LOL.
do you to mb early in july or later? i think dd has national dance finals there this summer. i hate driving to sc, im only 7 hrs from wdw!!:lmao:

Driving to Myrtle Beach is no big deal to us it is only 8 hours or so. When we go depends on what my call schedule at the hospital is. This year we were there from July 11-18 that is usually around the same time. We love it and stay at the same place every year. You guys go much?

someone needs to figure out who all is going to be there and whose trips overlap and maybe they can meet face to face for a second in the parks for a picture.

Arriving Saturday 10/3.. we will be in Ocoee all day coming back to POP at night, Sunday 10/4 out all day in Ocoee(spending 2 days w/DW's cousin) have Reglan Rd. ressie in DTD at 7pm. Monday 10/5 MK, Tuesday 10/6 MNSSHP, Wednesday 10/7 DHS (could change to Epcot), Thursday 10/8 AK then driving to MCO to catch our 7PM flight. WOW this is going to be a fast trip!!!:scared1:

And uhhh....The MARINES would like their own category thank you...

Come on we all know it is the Anchor, Globe and Eagle, because the Navy always comes first in a Marines life :rotfl:

I mean with out the Navy, who would sign the checks, take care of all your boo-boos, and see to your spiritual needs.

dang, you beat me to it.... :lmao:

I think you guys went pretty light on the admission requirements, I not only tear up watching my guy having fun there, but tear up just thinking about him having fun on the next trip!

I moved down to Raleigh, NC from Canada in 2002 and we love it here. I was determined to take our son last year before he turned 3 (free) so in May we headed to POP Century for a week and when 2 months later the mouse sent us a "bounce back" offer we couldn't refuse. It did hurt that they didn't realize the little guy had turned 3 in the meantime so we headed back to All Star Sports in September. I think I realized we were hooked when we were on It's A Small World for what we determined to be the 20th time that trip and didn't even hesitate when my son asked to go on again. In April of this year we took the DVC plunge with AKV.

That's it in a nutshell, in 7 days we make the trip for the first time as a road trip for our comp stay at SSR. The best part is we haven't told him yet; I'm seriously thinking of waiting to see how far we are into the trip before he starts seeing billboards an putting two and two together.

Looking forward to many discussions with you guys! It's great to be among people who's first question isn't "Didn't you just go last year?"

Welcome. After 5 straight years, we joined DVC last year and own at SSR. I look forward to my 1 or 2 vacations at WDW a year.

LOL... When my oldest DS was born, I traded in the Blazer for a Minivan. It is at 65k so I am going to have it for a while still. And while I will never admit it to the DW, I have to admit it is convenient. But my minivan is Black, so that helps a little :cool1:

~DD

That helps. After we found out DW pregnant with #2, WE (...ahem) decided I should trade in my truck for a SUV. We got a Pontiac Astek (ugly, but a great deal) so that WE (...ahem) could have two vehicles. DW drove the SUV and liked it so much, I got stuck with the minivan:headache:.

Yeah, you guys are much appreciated....don't EVER want to see a grunt with a scapel...:lmao::lmao:

And thanks for always providing a ride to the fight fellas...

We're arriving the evening of the 4th (MCO 6:30 PM), checking-in at POFQ and probably a late dinner at DTD.
Monday: EPCOT
Tuesday: MK
Wednesday: AK and dinner at Boma followed by Bob Jackson at POR (8:30)
Thursday: DHS
Friday: Park Hop
Saturday: MCO by 6:00 AM

I have a cousin in the Marines so I certainly don't knock them! He's stationed in CA. We're always glad to give them a lift to the fight.

Dave: I used to watch Larry train for most of his fights. I think I played Little League baseball against him but I'm not sure. No one ever beat me up so I guess I didn't strike him out! :lmao:
My brother claims he knocked him out once........it's quite a story about him bartending on a very hot day and serving the Champ a bunch of very icy drinks that he drank too quickly. Larry was wearing a fur coat that Don King had given him, even though it was sweltering. He was overcome by brain freeze! I'm still not sure I'm buying that story but my bro doesn't usually exaggerate or tell untruths. I read that DD is coaching b-ball in the area somewhere. I think it's LCCC, not Lehigh.

Steve: When you head to NYC, you'll be passing about 1 mile from my house (if you are on I-78)! I'm right off the Easton exit and Dave is only 7 or 8 miles away.

We're driving down and will get to DW's parents place in Lakeland on the 10th or 11th, depending on how hard we want to push the driving. Not sure when our first day in the parks will be, probably the 12th or 13th - the plans between DW and MIL change daily. We check in to Beach Club on the 18th and will be at MNSSHP that night.

Maybe a fellow Leafs fan? We can wallow in sorrow together:rotfl:

Sorry, the wife was a card carrying leafer but even she is slowly turning to a Canes fan down here. It's really not to hard to switch when:

-You can buy half decent seats day of the game (at face value)
-They tailgate before games.
-The owners actually care about putting a competitive team on the ice.
-Loudest damn arena i've ever been in!
-My company has a box I get access to about 3 times a year. I was in the box for game 1 of the finals the year they won the cup.
-It's still a small enough city that you run into players now and then. I ran into Ron Francis twice in Target
-Plus since the majority of the players are Canadian anyways I feel like I'm at home.

It was kind of funny that the first year I was here they actually had guys in ref uniforms between periods that you could go up to and they would explain the various penalties and things that happened in the game.

:cool1::cool1::cool1:6 Days until the SSR!:cool1::cool1::cool1:

:lmao: i remember taking dw to her first flyers game. i grew up watching bobby clarke, bill barber and bernie. she didnt want to go. i tried my best to explain off sides, icing, the basic calls that stop play. we get into the spectrum,we sit down, i explain the lines, etc. she could care less.she watched warm ups, she almost got hit by a puck, she never saw it coming. the game starts, by the end of the 1st period, the guys behind us were telling her to sit down lady!!! oh,she was hooked. yelling, screaming at the refs!!! she said this is great, its nothing like tv.:lmao:

Changing sports here...but last night I was watching the Titans @ Steelers.

Only comment my wife had was about Troy Polamalu...said he had pretty hair. :lmao:

Shortly after that they played Troy's Head & Shoulders commercial. :rotfl2:

I don't really blame you much, it has been really hard to stay true to this team, hopefully we will actually put a competitive team on the ice this year. My wife loves to go to games but does not watch too many on tv. My boys have begun watching but its hard to get them to really take this team in there heart when they never win. They did mention Crosby a couple of times and I had to put an end to that real quick.
Being able to go more games and having the fun before would make it a lot more fun for sure. The crowd at the ACC is pretty stuffy unless you are in the nose bleed section with all the drinkers. (not that is a bad thing) :lmao:

Just a few quick things.

1] I walked the Corn Field last night to familiarize myself with it...took about 30 minutes. :thumbsup2

2] I Hope to Start Day 6 on my trip report this afternoon.

3] I think Don is still on Day 4...and he had a head start. :lmao:

I'm looking forward to reading about Day 6, I think that other thread you are talking about was shut down, something about an infestation of crickets.:lmao::rotfl:

That's great! I had a similar experience when I took my wife (girlfriend at the time) to her first Flyers game. At one point in the third period, she announced, "I want to see a fight." I turned and said, "I love you." :lmao:

Well, wouldn't you know it...I walked out the door this morning and found a flat tire on my minivan! But hey...it's still a nice ride. :thumbsup2
