When we went to Disney in April of this year my son was only 8 months old, so we didn't have to worry about him eating at the restaurants with us (we just brought our own food). Now we are again going to Disney April of 2015 and he'll be 20 months old. He eats everything that we normally eat now. My question is the Disney Dining Plan only covers kids 3yrs old and older. So how would I go about getting him food. Would I have to pay out of pocket for him? I know at the buffets its pretty easy to just get some extra food and give it to him, but not sure about the non buffet restaurants. Anyone have experience with this type of problem? How did you handle it?:confused3

You have a couple of different options:
1) ask for a plate and share your food with him
2) order his his own child meal at a TS and pay OOP for it
3) upgrade him to age 3 and get him his own plan...of course you will have to pay for his park tickets as well

Ok thanks so much. I think it would prolly be cheaper to pay out of pocket for the non buffet restaurants lol

When we did deluxe dining and took our kids (for a while we had two under 3) we often would just order them appetizers or order mac n cheese or something as one of our sides. With the addition of an appetizer it was extremely rare that we ordered them food that wasn't included in our plan.
