The debate board.. please read

I agree with SOTM and ginna74 so now if I re post the topic of your liberal neighbours next door or whatever the topic was we were in on the DB will that get me and whoever posts banned or locked the thread down if so then that is totally censorship as it was following the DB guidelines but there is no DB so we discuss it here.

I will certainly miss the dabate board.
Yes it really got very heated at times, and most of us (including myeslf) said some very nasty things at times. However I think we all know eachother much better than anyone else here on the DIS. We didn't jsut show our good side. It's like have a friend you feel comfortable enough opening your door to where you have rollers in your hair and the house is a mess. Yes we let the words fly, but I thing most of us have a bond too. I know when my mother was sick, I received a lot of good thoughts from my "opponents" on the DB.

I find it very funny that the ones rejoicing the most over the ending of the DB are mainly the ones calling those of us from the DB names.

Oh and yes most of us post elsewhere on the DIS too. I am a very frequent poster on the CB, restaurants and WISH boards.
Now that I'm planning another trip to US/IOA I read almost every thread on US/IOA

What a novel idea get rid of the place we post to and tell us we can post the debates on a board that actually doens't want anything to do with the debates ok.

That's exactly what I was thinking, DSNY FN... so basically, we can post the same topics with the same guidelines, but it has to be on this board.

That's the only discernable change I've noticed.

Actually no it's not just like the debate board. We loosened up the guidelines quite a bit on the debate boards and stuff was allowed to stand that won't be here

yeh I agree.. of course we can't really debate here... they may say it... but this is the CB not the debate board. wonder how long before the debate "people"are pushed from here. I am just sad over this

so why not just tighten back up on the guidelines on the DB instead of closing it?
It's been done before and can/should be done again.

So Alex knowing the threads get a little heated over onthe DB wouldn't that be a good inclination to let the board stand as now you have to do extra policing on this board to mae sure nothing gets out of line to hurt the feelings of those that cried about seeingit on a board they new they could hav avoided inthe first place seems like you took 2 steps backwards to me.

for some reason another late night on the DIS just came to mind.

who was around for the night that someone registered and then proceeded to tell off everyone on every CB post that we were a diney board and we we needed to talk about only disney.
they clained to have just been given the name a the site by a friend and were "horrified" that we talked about other stuff.

It was pretty entertaining.

Wasn't that the person that went to the DB and cried in disgust or something that we all were so terrible because we didn't talk about Disney only and she /he came here for Disney content and didn't see any of it at all bla bla bla. You don't like it don't visit that area of the board so now the CB people are going to have to see it to if we actually ever get to debate anything without it getting closed or deleted first.

next topic for "non debate" when is it too late for sha_lyn to post? When she starts all the typos or when she has continuous run-on sentences about topics that are not on topic?
