We leave today for WDW and I just wanted to share all the great deals I found ALL because of tips I found on the DIS.

I rented DVC reservation points from another DISer for $5.50 a point, which came to 363.00 for 3 nights at the Poly!! We have one additional night at the Poly at an AP rate lagoon view for 255.00, & 2 nights at AS Music for AP rate $59.00/night.

Our car is thru National for EA full size or better for 109.00 for 5 days. I got the free EA membership thanks to a tip on this board.

We also have a Priceline ressie for $99.00/ticket roundtrip on TWA. We flew on the same exact flights in Dec for more than double that per ticket!

Se we're paying just under $1100.00 (spending money not included) for a deluxe hotel, full size car and airfare. At the normal rack rate the Poly would have cost more than what we're paying for the whole trip!! Again, without the info I've found here on the DIS we probably wouldn't even be going again this soon, so thanks. You all are the best!! :)

Wow! Great deals! Be sure to post on returning that it all went according to plan. How'd you hook up to the $5.50 point? It seems most want $10/point. If I thought that might be possible I would have explored using points more.

WOW!! If you have any suggestions on how to get a rate this low, I'm all"ears". I would love to rent points thru DVC but 10/point too spendy.

I know the $5.50/point is amazing! Someone right here on the DIS DVC for rent board had posted the points for rent. I emailed her with what we wanted and got the points! You do have to be willing to trust the person you are renting from, but I had seen other posts where she had rented points in the past so don't anticipate any problems.

The main thing is, I was reading the right post at the right time and lucked out.

I'm sure the only reason the points were so cheap was because they were going to expire soon. $10 seems to be the going rate and quite fair I believe. If you want to make it affordable, rent points for Sunday-Thursday nights and stay somewhere else on Friday and Saturday. Its those weekend points that'll kill you!

Congrats on all the great deals you got! Its nice to be at the right place at the right time, isn't it?
