:wizard: It's been quite awhile since I've had groceries delivered to my resort and was wondering where is the best place to order from for a small order. We will be staying at POFQ next month and will need a case or more of bottled water. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!

If you are an Amazon Prime member that’s one budget easy route.
As well, various local supermarkets such as Publix, Whole Foods and Walmart deliver with cost depending on how much you are spending generally.
Have fun!

Publix’s delivery platform is just a customized Instacart storefront so you might as well just use the IC app if you want to order from them. I go with that because I think it’s the best of the options, if not necessarily the cheapest.

Another route is to check DoorDash. They also deliver from grocery stores. I have used them to deliver while at Disney. Also, my credit card has a monthly DD credit for "groceries" which this is great for.

I swear someone just asked about a small order for like a case of water literally for POFQ but it has completely disappeared...

I've used Kroger, Amazon, Walmart and Instacart over the years. They all seem to be ok, sometimes what you want isn't in stock so pick substitutions if the system lets you. I use WM currently because I get a free membership with my Amex.

And there is no "best" option for grocery delivery or small grocery orders at WDW. You can order anything for delivery but if you order doesn't reach minimum levels it will be surcharged on top of the delivery charge on top of the tip and you won't really save much. And Disney will slap a package/grocery charge on if they bring it to your room. Maybe start by looking at the order minimums and surcharges before your trip and consider snacks or something else you can add.

We usually use UberEast. Mostly because we have a subscription and we're used to it. I expect they might not be the cheapest but at the very least they have everything we need, we can choose which store to buy from and the selection is large enough we don't miss anything.

Technically, you could probably do it now, but I'd look perhaps a week out. If you have a particular need (like very early or a specific hour), do it sooner rather than later.

Also, from experience, make sure you designate whether you're staying at Jambo House or Kidani for the delivery. You don't want to have to go chasing down your order on the other side of the resort!

https://www.shipt.com/ is an instacart competitor.
A few years ago Target bought them. You pay shelf prices at Target and a few other stores.

Some VISA cards have deals which waive membership fees or lower then or lower them.

We have used Vacation Grocery Delivery many times and they have been great.

We did this through Amazon fresh and it was super easy!

I’ve never done grocery delivery to WDW, but would like to do an Amazon Fresh order for our upcoming trip next week. I’m recovering from a hip surgery and my sister is in a leg boot for broken ankle (girls relax and recovery trip) and neither of us can carry anything too heavy.

How far ahead did you order? I see the delivery address online for our hotel, but if we need our order delivered to our room, is it the hotel we need to contact for bell services delivery? We’re staying at VWL and that walk is too long for us to carry heavy items. Thanks for any advice!

I saw a report earlier today from someone wanting to use Instacart but they now have a requirement to show a code to get delivery - a precaution to prevent deliveries being stolen (or being reported stolen) so you'd have to be there to meet them. No delivering to Bell Services and getting it from there.

We were planning to use Amazon Prime. I just called the hotel and they verified that we can schedule a delivery to the hotel and bell services will hold it for a fee. They charge more fees to have it delivered to the room, which they will do once we are in the room and call them to have it brought to the room.

With the fees, it seems expensive and a PITA to go this route, unless you really have to do it. We will likely just go to Walmart and keep groceries to a minimum.

First you did not call the Hotel. There is no way for a Guest to reach the resort, your call went to a call center no matter what number you called.

Yes packages from Amazon Prime, UPS, FedEx or any item that is not delivered locally to the Driveway are considered mailed items, and any resort with a Convention center will charge you for each box / Amazon Envelope received, and there is a single $6 fee for them to bring 1 or 10 items to your room if you chose not to pick them up in person.

Fresh grocery orders that are delivered by local drop off are not considered mail. There is no fee for receiving a local delivery order whether it is 1 bag or 20 bags. They just require the Cold items be separated, and marked. There will still be a single $6 fee to deliver these local delivery items to your room if you chose not to go to BS or Luggage Services to pick them up.
