Ok, DDA's ... off to the dentist! I'm a little worried about this visit, as there's been some new stuff going on. Hopefully I'll be back here VERY quickly! :worried:

OK. My DD17 loves Tinkerbell. It is her connection to my father who died 8 years ago in a car accident. He used to call her Tink and started her Tinkerbell collection shortly before we lost him. Last year, I called WDW to see if we could get Tink's autograph. Now, I know that she can't see Tink except during Wishes and so does she. I was told that we could take her book to Guest Services at Magic Kingdom and they could get Tink to sign it. However, when we got there, we were told that we were given incorrect information. She was devestated.

I would like to do something to get this so important autograph. Any ideas? I've thought about just signing it myself somehow while she is out and wait until she finds it. We'd then tell her that Tink must have snuck in while we were sleeping. I've also thought about doing something like having mousekeeping leave her an envelope on her pillow with pixie dust and Tink's autograph. I thought you creative people might have some ideas. Thanks in advance. Anyone have an idea how Tink's autograph should look?

She wants to suggest to Disney that Tinkerbell should have a couple days a year that she magically gets enlarged to human size. Kind of like in the Robin Williams version of Peter Pan when Julia Roberts Tinkerbell makes herself Peter's size. The kids would be told that it is special magic that can't be used all the time. This way those that really love Tinkerbell could meet her in person.

Let me just say that I love, love, love my new cable modem! It took me all of 1 minute to get through 3.5 pages, with all the bob the builder graphics and Katie's autograph pages. That would have taken me 15 minutes on dial-up. Life is good!

I'll snoop around when we go in ten days.... maybe there is something somebody can do -- I'll let you know when we get back.

Thank you so much Marti. I have tears in my eyes. You are all so generous. I didn't realize how much this had upset me as well. It is something that has helped keep my dad in our lives. He was a very special man and even after 8 years the loss sometimes seems unbearable. He loved kids and spent lots of time with them.

He called my DD20 TwinkleToes and started her ballerina slipper and related collection. Of course, Cinderella's slipper is part of that. She loves all things related to ballerinas (and was never in dance). Every year they get a "Thinking of You" gift from Dad with the most current addition to their collection. My mother has something to do with that, of course.

Actually, he is the reason that we went to Disney. He retired 6 months before he died. He had told me that if we didn't take the kids to Disney by the next summer, he and mom were taking them. It took me 5 years to recover from his loss enough to fulfill his wish and take them. In March, we will have went for a week three years in a row. We keep adding a day.

Sorry for the novel. Thanks again for checking it out for me Marti. If there is ever anything I can do for you, let me know. Vicki

I just got my people magazine and all I have to say is this:

Brad Pitt is full of crap if he wants me to believe the Angelina Jolie had nothing to do with the breakup of his marriage -

Clearly if he got her pregnant less than 9 months from splitting with Jen - she was a factor - you don't end a marriage to someone and say you still love them and respect them and move on THAT quick if there was nothing going on

Don't even get me started on that topic! But I think I'm totally with you..... that's a crush that quickly went down the drain :rotfl: I love how dumb Hollywood thinks the rest of the world is

Guess what. DH just called. The cable guy has come and gone.

We now have high speed internet!!! I can't wait to go home and play with it! I hope it is a lot faster.

:Pinkbounc :bounce:

Yay! Fast internet is exciting..... pixie dust that it isn't all skiddish like our cable internet here! :wizard:

ETA: sorry... that came out wrong. I wasn't trying to discourage you, our cable internet has been AWESOME for years. It's just been going through a spell lately and REALLY gets on our nerves. But we're getting it fixed, and it's not likely a national thing. lol.. i read that and it didn't sound so encouraging ;)

I've never been able to figure the attraction to BOTH of them. All I ever think of when I hear Angelina's name is the fact that she used to wear a vial of Billy Bob Thornton's blood around her neck. EWWW!

Yes, DEFINITELY ewww! :crazy2:

I love the idea of printing the pages out 6x4 and then putting them in a photograph album with the photos you took fo the characters. Wish I'd thought of that actually...

I bought a small spiral spound note book and printed the pages out on coloured paper 6x4 - then I glued them to the pages of the book (it had quite think paper - cardstock do you call it?) I stuck them to right side pages so I can glue the photos of us to the left side pages.

Clare, those are ADORABLE! Thanks for putting that link in your signature, I looked through them! Great job :goodvibes I can't wait to go back with just DH..... my family was so not into waiting in line for the characters! :confused3

Can I add some autograph pages? :teeth:
I prepared all the pages before we went and had them in a 6x6 album arranged according to groups (Fab 5, Cinderella and everyone from her movie, etc...). Had lots of plain pages in the back, in several colors. Carried the album and about 15 colors of pens in a gallon ziplock in our park bag. Had them sign directly on page and added photos when we got home.

TIP: Make sure to put "this book belongs to..." and your name and address somewhere in the book (or any autograph book!). If, heaven forbid, it is lost in the parks, if they find an address in it, Disney will mail it back to you! ::yes::

Those are adorable, too! And what a fantastic tip! :goodvibes

Thanks for asking! It was fine. I was worried she wouldn't be able to do the root canal because of the sepsis last time, but all is well -- #2 is done!. And the final appointments (for this phase) are scheduled Tuesday and Friday of next week! So a week from today, I will be able to chew pain-free for the first time in over a year! :cool1:

Darn genes..... all the thanks go to my dear Daddy.

Where is everyone? I went on a posting spree, but I just KNEW they would be separated by other people's posts and I wouldn't look so alone! :rotfl:

The above-mentioned internet problems kept me from checking all day, so I had to catch up.

Maybe I'll catch some of you later! :goodvibes

Okay that is way too cute I will have to think about tinkering with a shirt for Christmas...ay yi yi I don't even have the shiirts for July done up and now I am planning Christmas :confused3 :rotfl2:

Why don't you make a Christmas in July shirt. Something like Celebrating Christmas in July with Oddball Or Celebrating Christmas Disney style in July.

I am so sorry for your loss

That is a wonderful way to keep him alive in their hearts

Rumor has it that the reason Disney has launched the Fairy line is to make way for tinkerbell in the parks -

and the BIG rumor is that they breakfast at 1900 Park Fare might become a Fairies breakfast - featuring TINKERBELL!!!!!!

it is rumored to start this spring but unfortunately april or may -

so someone could definately get it then - I like the idea of having it on her pillow after returning from the parks

Hey .... does anyone know if they sell graduation ears year round? Or just certain times of the year?

I meant to ask when we were there and forgot..... but I really need to get ahold of them if possible by May :goodvibes

ETA: and even if they aren't in the parks, can Merchandising get them? or just things available at the current time?

UP Disney,

We got Tinkerbell's autograph during the Family Magic Tour. You get a certificate at the end, and it is signed by Peter Pan, Wendy, and Tink. The tour is AWESOME, and it costs around $25 per person (although you can get a AAA discount).

Good luck!
