That would be like an episode of Dynasty, for those of us 'older' ones that remember that show!

I know how some of you are obsessed with High School Musical. I was reading Newsweek today and lo and behold there was an article about Zac Efron. Turns out he is going to be in Hairspray the Movie. Look here for more information.

It's sad, I know, but I LOVE this movie!! With Zac in it, maybe I can use "taking my little sister" as an excuse to get to see it without having to admit my weakness for Hairspray to Phil. :rolleyes1

From various windows around the house, I can see - count them -- ELEVEN different fireworks displays going on right now!

Pretty cool, except that Kyle is trying to sleep! :rotfl:

It's like CircleVision here though! :thumbsup2

I am so jealous!! Terra has been counting down the days to fireworks. We may go to a neighboring town tonight, but otherwise it's just the one tomorrow. I was really hoping some towns would have them over the weekend so that we could see more.

We are at the beach and have a wireless network we seem to be able to access! The weather is gorgeous and I took this picture from one of our decks early this morning. I probably won't read much but will post any wonderful shots I get. I miss you all and we have been talking about you the past two days! :rotfl:

Hi, Tia - how's work today? You don't have to work tomorrow, do you? I hope not!

My office is dead - I can't believe I had 5 people start work today. I told them to oh so quietly slip out once they were done with their computer training this afternoon (so I can leave, too!).

Jen,

You have had way more than your share of stuff to deal with. I really admire you for how you have managed to handle events that cripple people my age.... :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

You vent all you want. You are a very strong woman and I'm not even going to add for someone your age. You are a very strong woman period.

Between Alyssa's death, the wonderful things you did in her memory.. the marathon your brother raced in, your brother making fireman and then the fireman's accident.. all within a few months. WOW. That is overwhelming just to write about it. :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

You're been a rock to all of your friends and family. You need a place to vent, and you have us. I admire you a lot.  Hang in there.

I just had to quote Stephanie as I think she captured what a lot of us think. I admire your strength as well, but just hadn't figured out how to put it into words. Continued prayers and :grouphug: for you all. Plus, an extra big :grouphug: to you!!

I don't mind the hard time. It makes me feel like part of the family! My personal preference would be the grotto. It's a lot easier to get pictures there without a crowd, and Mr. Toad can be quite difficult sometimes. What do you think, Paula, Tia, and Christy?

I hadn't thought of the grotto. That would be pretty. Definitely less crowded than waiting for the Mr. Toad car and it would fit more in with the statue theme.

Ok. You all asked for pictures, well, here they are. These first three are of the baby shower that I threw for my friend. I made pound cake finger sandwiches, then went to Costco for eclairs and cream puffs, I also did chocolate dipped strawberries, and strawberries dipped in a cream cheese mixture and rolled in pink sugar. I think it all turned out cute!

The cake was white chocolate with raspberry filling! Yummy!

Wow Glynis - they look yummy - and that cake is AMAZING!

Thanks for your kind message too :goodvibes

Can everyone keep an eye out for a tractor clip art from Cars for me? I haven't been able to find one (except from Zazzle) on the clip art sites out there...
Thanks a bunch!

We are off to see Superman today (it's been a movie weekend apparently) in a little bit so I hope everyone has a great day today!!!

Just wanted to add in a quick post to say...

Hi Tammi,

I guess it was just a bit of me going a little nuts. :goodvibes :goodvibes I wanted the BAB Mickey and Minnie because they are rare. I wanted to stuff them myself because it was fun. I love BABs. My grandcildren have quite a collection.

The whole build a bear "thing" is to stuff your bear, give it a heart, fluff your bear and print out its birth certificate and register it. They put a ... for want of a better word, a little lowjack tag inside, so if it is ever lost it can be returned to you...

I am a tad over the top with my Mickey maddness. My room is all Mickey. My wall color is the color of Mickey's feet. I have Mickey phones, sleep on Mickey sheets, in my Mickey pajamas. I shower behind a Mickey curtain, toss my trash in a Mickey trash can, drain my dishes in a Mickey drainer, roll my Disney paper towels off a Mickey towel holder.

I have lamps, curtains, watches, picture frames, dishes, silverware, clothes.. you get the idea. I'm obsessed. I brush my teeth with Mickey shaped toothpaste.

I have the red Mickey luggage, I wear Mickey clothes, my laptop goes in its Mickey laptop carrier. I have Mickey prescription eyeglasses.

So you see, for me, I had to have the BAB Mickey and Minnie :smickey: :mickeyjum and because I have a BABW store close to me, I had her send the skins unstuffed, so I could go to workshop and stuff them myself. That was a mistake, because the other kids couldn't buy one there and they were sad.

But the employees at the store got a real kick out of it and made sure to get my numbers so the Florida Mall could register my M&M and send me their birth certificates and all... :dance3: :dance3:

Yes folks, she is over the top. So over she is on the other side :lmao:

:grouphug: :grouphug: Clare I am so sorry you had to go through that. It is hard to make friends after you have gone through something like that. I have problems making friends in real life too. I had a lot of people make fun of me in HS because I was the only girl in the TAG classes at our school (talented and gifted for people that scored high on the IQ tests). Most people thought only boys should be taking the advanced calculus and physics, etc. It got so bad that during a report my partner (a boy who I thought was my friend) depantsed me in front of the whole class. At the time I was mortified and couldn't beleive that the few people I thought were my friends had laughed at me. I went through the rest of HS only hanging out with my BF. I haven't had a close GF since. :confused3 I have been in a lot of therapy in college and have been through depression and I can tell you she probably never thought it would affect you as her friend. People in severe depression lack the ability to think about others or see beyond what their feeling. It's like being in a dark hole, there's no light and your vision is limited. I hope she has managed to get therapy and go on to have a life. I look back to where I came from and the things that have happened now that normally would have had me in the hospital and now I can deal with them(of course I don't claim to do this on my own as it has been God helping me and filling me with peace when I need it most.) I'm sorry for rambling, I think that if you slowly allow some of those walls down that you'll find it get easier as you make close friends that don't let you down. And if your friend has turned her life around you may find if you give her a call you can talk through it and maybe get some closure or become friends again. At least you might find that you can make new friends with closure from this. :wizard: I hope you're able to get to know your neighbors.

Thanks for the lovely message and I'm sending you :grouphug: too
