Sorry! I just keep remembering new things. I definitely think either the grotto or Mr. Toad's would be very unique!

Well, make up your mind woman and stick with it!!! :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: I don't really care. I just wanted to give you a hard time but we do have to get it figured out soon because Christy will be going soon and will need to know!

Don't feel guilty at all. Sending more :wizard: and :grouphug: to you.

BTW: How are they all doing??

The daughter was released from the hospital Thursday and actually spent 1.5 hours just sitting next to her dad in his ICU room. She will have to limit her activity for 6-8 weeks due to the lacerated spleen. The niece is doing good and has been out of the hospital. Alex had surgery to put a trach in on Thursday-I have heard he is becoming more responsive by squeezing hands, moving his fingers and hands . i even saw him move a foot when i went in. His wife has seen him open his eyes for a second as well. He has a very long road ahead of him and they are still calling him in critical condition-We are just watching and waiting now..Thanks for asking!

I always love seeing an older man with an earring. I believe it was Sean Connery that I saw with an earring a couple of months ago and I thought he was hot. It makes some of them look really distinguished. Then there are of course some that look absolutely ridiculous!

Of course my DH and sons had to do the Christmas Ornament hanging on the ear thing. :lmao:

You know I have never been to the water parks & my boys always ask about going. I know they would enjoy it. Mon the 2cd is the only open day we have. I left that day for the boys to choose what to do. I am not much into water slides myself, but I can soak up the sun :sunny: Do you have a preference as to which park? Let me know!

I'm not much of a swimmer myself either.
Ramiro got me in the water with him @ Blizzard beach 2001.
I was hooked.
I had so much fun.
We did Typoon Lagoon 2005.
We liked Blizzard Beach the best.
October 2 would be great.
We are die hards so we hit the parks early & leave late.
Let me know what works for you.

That is what we are here for - the good & the bad. You are so welcome here and we love hearing from you even when things are rough for you. Sometimes it puts things in perspective for me with what is happening in my life, sometimes it makes me feel good just to be able to pray for others, etc. Thank you for being here for us!!!!!

I'm back from my camping trip. It was fun, but not at all relaxing. They offer so many activities from sun up to sun down that we were constantly on the run. The boys really seemed to enjoy themselves, but by Friday they were ready to just hang out, no events. It was really nice to come home today. Chris says that we are never doing split vacations again as we both really missed each other and the kids while we were home alone. He's been chasing me where ever I go tonight and says that he's not letting me out of his sight again   . I'll post details later.

The big question on my mind is............Any new babies yet? I have no idea how many pages I need to read, but I just gotta know.

Deb

:welcome: home Deb!

Sounds like lots of turtle time in the princes' home tonight!!!!!

Glynis -- out of curiosity Kristin and I went to the Utah Shakespeare Festival website and looked around. You should be very proud of your father. He has accomplished an amazing amount of work there! 150,000 visitors a year.... WOW! It is wonderful that his peers and others from the state, country and world honored him this year. Very well deserved.

And, you look a lot like your Dad. :)

You are so sweet! If I turn out half as well as my dad I'll be a happy person, indeed!

If you check back with the website in about a week, the newest video clips of this years productions should be up. Alan is finishing them up now. I'm biased, but I think he's done a pretty good job. I'll give a link as soon as he's got them up and running.

ETA: Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't your daughter interested in theater? She ought to try for a summer position at the Festival. It's a great place to spend a summer, and we treat our people well. Housing and utilities are paid for (not a lot of rep companies do that), and it's a gorgeous place to explore on the days off. If she's interested, feel free to PM me for some details and stuff.

Hey Vicki this reminded me....We came across a Barbie game that was given to us and manufactured and sold in Europe. The girls played it once and don't want it anymore. You want it for your Barbie wall?

Cool! You sure you don't want me to try & sell it on eBay for you instead? I haven't started selling on eBay yet but I will be in the next month or so. One of the reasons my office is a mess is all the stuff that has to be sorted to go to Goodwill, etc. I will sell some of it on eBay instead now.

I checked it out too this week! Everything your father done is very impressive - and a Tony award to boot!!!!

Pretty cool, huh!?! The Tony was the best thing that could have happened for my dad. He always wanted to act/direct on Broadway, but early on he realized that it would be hard to have a stable family life if he did that. So, he gave up that dream, and became a college professor, married my mom, etc. Winning the Tony gave him his dream back.

Hey they have the Jan. hours up now, oh more planning :Pinkbounc

ETA: looks like the night we arrive is EMH & MK will be open till 2am, YEH!!!! I love the extra hours at night, I know you can call me crazy :teeth:

So do I. Our day of arrival is EMH & Epcot. I'm really excited about that as well. Don't remember when it closes but it is open late which is all that matters to me. We found that they were not that crowded when we are there in March. Hope the same is true for the 1st week of December.

Jen,

You have had way more than your share of stuff to deal with. I really admire you for how you have managed to handle events that cripple people my age.... :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

You vent all you want. You are a very strong woman and I'm not even going to add for someone your age. You are a very strong woman period.

Between Alyssa's death, the wonderful things you did in her memory.. the marathon your brother raced in, your brother making fireman and then the fireman's accident.. all within a few months. WOW. That is overwhelming just to write about it. :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

You're been a rock to all of your friends and family. You need a place to vent, and you have us. I admire you a lot.  Hang in there.

I don't mind the hard time. It makes me feel like part of the family! My personal preference would be the grotto. It's a lot easier to get pictures there without a crowd, and Mr. Toad can be quite difficult sometimes. What do you think, Paula, Tia, and Christy?

As a whole park, I like Blizzard Beach better but I absolutely loved the snorkeling thing at Typhoon Lagoon. That was one of the coolest things that I've ever done. I couldn't believe all the fish, sharks & stingray and how close they were. Fish were swimming within an inch of me. I did it a couple of times and could have done it several more.

I can't believe it! I'm all caught up! You don't know how good it feels to be all caught up with the events of my DDA family! I really missed you all while I was gone.

Our trip to Cedar City was a lot of fun, well for me and the kids at least. Poor Alan had to work the whole time. He videotapes the plays for the Festival for archival purposes, and then does stories for the news station. So, it wasn't very relaxing for him.

The first few days we just spent time with my mom relaxing and playing in the yard. My kids love to run through the sprinkler! In the evenings, we would go to dress rehearsals for the plays and enjoy the pleasant weather. The plays look to be really good this year. There are 2 theaters, one indoor theater and one outdoor (it's a replica of the Globe theater. It's so authentic, that the BBC used it to film part of one of Shakespeare's plays). Each theater shows 3 plays in repertory. Indoors are On Golden Pond (I bawled through this one. So good!), Room Service (zany, crazy Marx brothers inspired), and H.M.S. Pinafore. My father is performing in this one as Sir Joseph Porter. If you are familiar with Gilbert and Sullivan, you will know he's the bumbling old fool. Typecasting my dad says. It's a darling show, and my older 2 kids loved it. Of course, seeing grandpa singing and dancing was worth the price of admission alone. In the outside theater the plays are The Merry Wives of Windsor, Hamlet and Antony and Cleopatra. I only got to see Merry Wives, but I loved it! Very fun!

On the 26th there was a reception before the statue unveiling and that was so much fun! So many people were there to honor my dad. I was so touched. People from all over the country and world were there. It's amazing to think how many people my father has touched and inspired. The statue itself is pretty amazing! It is a very nice honor for my dad! All of my siblings were there, and they asked us to do the unveiling. Talk about emotional!

I do have some pictures, so I'm off to upload them to my photobucket account and then I'll post them.

Thanks for letting me know I was missed! I thought about you guys all the time I was gone!

Oh Glynis, That is so nice about your dad.... I really love it when people honor people while they are still here to see it themselves! It makes the honor so much sweeter.... And to have the children, his bloodline, to do the unveiling... very classy...

Hey Glynis

was Jamin there? and did you tell him you have some girlfriends who want to have lunch with him? ;)
