Hello DDA! Hope everyone enjoyed their Saturday-
I lounged in the pool and didnt leave the house, it was actually really nice.

I wanted to say thanks to you all-I know the last couple of months, theres been al ot of things coming up in my family, especially now with the accident last weekend, and i have come here venting alot. I know it gets old to hear the same things, but sometimes i feel like i have nowhere to turn.. Its hard sometimes--im 21 years old ,but dont go out and party and drink like most of the people around here...i guess im just in a blah mood- guess its just been a rough couple of months and you guys have really helped me get through them--Thank you!!

I can't believe it! I'm all caught up! You don't know how good it feels to be all caught up with the events of my DDA family! I really missed you all while I was gone.

Our trip to Cedar City was a lot of fun, well for me and the kids at least. Poor Alan had to work the whole time. He videotapes the plays for the Festival for archival purposes, and then does stories for the news station. So, it wasn't very relaxing for him.

The first few days we just spent time with my mom relaxing and playing in the yard. My kids love to run through the sprinkler! In the evenings, we would go to dress rehearsals for the plays and enjoy the pleasant weather. The plays look to be really good this year. There are 2 theaters, one indoor theater and one outdoor (it's a replica of the Globe theater. It's so authentic, that the BBC used it to film part of one of Shakespeare's plays). Each theater shows 3 plays in repertory. Indoors are On Golden Pond (I bawled through this one. So good!), Room Service (zany, crazy Marx brothers inspired), and H.M.S. Pinafore. My father is performing in this one as Sir Joseph Porter. If you are familiar with Gilbert and Sullivan, you will know he's the bumbling old fool. Typecasting my dad says. It's a darling show, and my older 2 kids loved it. Of course, seeing grandpa singing and dancing was worth the price of admission alone. In the outside theater the plays are The Merry Wives of Windsor, Hamlet and Antony and Cleopatra. I only got to see Merry Wives, but I loved it! Very fun!

On the 26th there was a reception before the statue unveiling and that was so much fun! So many people were there to honor my dad. I was so touched. People from all over the country and world were there. It's amazing to think how many people my father has touched and inspired. The statue itself is pretty amazing! It is a very nice honor for my dad! All of my siblings were there, and they asked us to do the unveiling. Talk about emotional!

Thanks for letting me know I was missed! I thought about you guys all the time I was gone!

Well it looks like people start the bids around $5 but they don't seem to be selling right now. I'd probably have to wait until October or November when people are looking for Christmas stuff. However, $5 is still better than just handing it to Goodwill. There are like 8 plates so that is $40.

I have a Snowville Family Village collection that my mom gave us as well. She went nuts for the whole set shortly after dad died. She was just looking for something to keep her occupied. The next year she wondered what in the world she was thinking and gave it to us. It is a gorgeous set but we just don't have a place to display it on top of our collection of things. I'm going to talk to the girls this fall and see if they think we should set it up this year. If they don't want to, I'll ask mom if I can sell it for her on eBay with her getting the money. There aren't any of those on there right now so have no idea how much I could get.

Hey Vicki this reminded me....We came across a Barbie game that was given to us and manufactured and sold in Europe. The girls played it once and don't want it anymore. You want it for your Barbie wall?

I know how some of you are obsessed with High School Musical. I was reading Newsweek today and lo and behold there was an article about Zac Efron. Turns out he is going to be in Hairspray the Movie. Look here for more information.

I'm back from my camping trip. It was fun, but not at all relaxing. They offer so many activities from sun up to sun down that we were constantly on the run. The boys really seemed to enjoy themselves, but by Friday they were ready to just hang out, no events. It was really nice to come home today. Chris says that we are never doing split vacations again as we both really missed each other and the kids while we were home alone. He's been chasing me where ever I go tonight and says that he's not letting me out of his sight again . I'll post details later.

The big question on my mind is............Any new babies yet? I have no idea how many pages I need to read, but I just gotta know.

You know I have never been to the water parks & my boys always ask about going. I know they would enjoy it. Mon the 2cd is the only open day we have. I left that day for the boys to choose what to do. I am not much into water slides myself, but I can soak up the sun Do you have a preference as to which park? Let me know!

Ya will be there at the same time.

Hay want to do a water park with the boys 1 day?
I think the 3 will have a great time together.
I haven't pick a day yet.

He has accomplished an amazing amount of work there! 150,000 visitors a year.... WOW! It is wonderful that his peers and others from the state, country and world honored him this year. He has accomplished an amazing amount of work there! 150,000 visitors a year.... WOW! It is wonderful that his peers and others from the state, country and world honored him this year. Very well deserved.

I checked it out too this week! Everything your father done is very impressive - and a Tony award to boot!!!!

I really don't need to know details of what happens between you & Chris while he isn't letting you out of his site and there's all that in the air. I think we can pretty much guess that it involves ODTT and some of what that entails.

I can remember when DH got his ear pierced. It was about seven years ago and he wore the earring for quite a while then he stopped. At the time he just wanted to rattle his mother's chain.

I always love seeing an older man with an earring. I believe it was Sean Connery that I saw with an earring a couple of months ago and I thought he was hot. It makes some of them look really distinguished. Then there are of course some that look absolutely ridiculous!
