The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 9

This end my O dark thirty P4. I stayed up fixing things for the viewing tomorrow and then I had to check in with you all. So now that it is just about 0100 I am off to bed.

My boys decided they needed some after their cousin got some. Of course, they didn't want them because I got some. They have green and black.

I have hot pink, purple and orange, with a pair or airwalk red, white and blue in the mail to me.

Please do post a picture!

I saw red, white and blue ones at Payless Shoes at Grapevine Mills a couple of weeks ago... if for some reason the ones in the mail to you never arrive. They also had the easter egg ones like Kate has. I had to resist since my current crocs are light blue, which was the primary color in the easter egg ones. But they were too cute!

My nephew (he'll be 3 in Sept) loves going to our beach house in Galveston. He loves to play in the sand under a big tent and ride the golf cart around the neighborhood, but he has had trepidation about going into the sea until this past visit. It took him several times of walking up to the surf before he went in, but then he liked it. We think that it must look really vast and scarey from his angle. Why would he want to walk into something where he can't see the other end?

I have really cute photos of my nephew that I want to show you guys, but I feel funny posting photos of him publicly. Plus he's not my child. It's not you guys I don't trust. It's all the lurkers, since our site is public. If we were in a private chat room, I'd post photos of him for sure.

But you guys all seem comfortable posting photos of your kids. Do you worry who is seeing them beyond our happy circle of friends here?

The kids had step up day on Tuesday where they got to go to their new classrooms and meet the teachers and students. They came home very excited because now they know where the classroom is and who will be in it with them. I think that they both have good placements for next year.
They came home very wound up today. Both had outstanding report cards. Nick had several A+ and all of Hunter's grades (no letter grades for that age) were way above his grade level. I couldn't be more proud of them.

Hey guys- can you spare some good thoughts and/or prayers for my brother...
he has been working his butt off in his firefighter course...Always in the top 10 on every test and practical exam they do..They had their final test today and his instructor said that the state changed it and most people would fail..he is crushed! he will find out next week. Hes been saying if this doesnt work out, hes going to join the military..so its going to be a rough couple weeks of waiting! please keep him in your thoughts! thanks

Thanks for asking. The kids are out of school and we leave in a month to visit both sets of parents and one of my sisters and DH's sisters in IA. I'm trying to convince DH we should swing down to DL for a few days (our AP's don't expire until Aug) oh and my younger sister got a job. She graduated in May and will be doing camera filmwork for the 700 Club in VA. It's in her field so I'm happy for her and she gets to travel.

Sounds like a fun summer. Here's that you get to sneak the trip to DL in. for your sister.

Morning, DDA. Another day here with low humidity. I have been really lucky the past two weeks with our weather. I hardly ever get this much time "off" and to have the added benefit of gorgeous weather it has been quite heavenly.

Seems as if the end of the school year is here for just about everyone. All your kiddos are getting great reports and their spring athletic leagues are widing down with great accomplishments for all the participants. What a nice ending to another year of school.

to all who need it. Hope things begin turning the other way for you who are troubled right now.

The doctor just called - Nick's heartbeat was fine - but there was an irregularity in the test that was either caused by a test lead being in the wrong position or an enlarge heart chamber! He is our regular doctor but not the one who ordered the test - so he is going to leave it up to her on if we should have the test repeated or not - *** - the hospital offered to repeat it at no charge to the customer - why wouldn't I get it repeated?!?!!?!?

He is very laid back - which is nice b/c he isn't an alarmist - BUT he also is slow to action - I never go see him when I want action taken (such as getting tubes for Julia etc) I love him and my kids love him and he stops me from freaking out about things but there are times I wish he would act a little faster.

I am sure the other doctor will have us repeat the test - so I guess I am going to be playing the waiting game a little bit longer!!!

I hope that they get you back in soon for a repeat test. I'm with you...there's a question, they hospital is going to retest for free...why not just schedule the retest and let's get things figured out! I hope the other doctor calls soon and you can get things settled.

Is anyone on here doing the Disney 1/2 marathon in January? (or the whole?) Seems like this is where I got the bug! So anyway, I ahave been working out a ton and running and DH and I are signed up. Anyone else?????
