Japan? How long? Where? WHy?

PD for CHuck!!!!

My brother is a civilian for the Air Force. He is stationed at a base in Japan. He & his wife just had a baby. My mom offered to take the girls with her to visit. They jumped at the chance. They leave on Sunday and come back on June 30th. They are really looking forward to seeing their Uncle and the baby. As well as their Aunt Terry and her 5 kids (we only met her once before they were married and moved to Japan).

They are planning on going to Tokyo Disney (I'm trying to find information on it so they are prepared) and a water park while they are there. I bought some of those foam visors and some stick-on foam decorations so they can decorate them. I'm working on Disney t-shirts for their build-a-bears. If I can get their sizes, I may make tees for all of them. Of course, I decided to do this yesterday and they leave early Sunday morning. :lmao:

Jennifer/Bear -- Thanks I'll keep an eye for Glynis.

Summer is slower in that I get to get Hang Out with thte kids, but that means keeping busy too doesn't it???
We spend most days by the pool. We'll head to Cincinnati for 2-3 weeks in July to stay with my Mom and visit with Kate and her family. So, I am not working at a paying job, but 3 kids all day is tiring!!!

How is your summer????

Pretty peaceful and a little cool so far. Hopefully, it will start looking more like your by the end though. Once we can get things arranged and moved to St. Louis I won't have to work anymore except for to babysit my sister's kids. :cheer2:

Hope your not so fun, stupid project gets done quick so you can have a FABULOUS weekend!!!:thumbsup2

I'M DONE!!!! :cool1:  :cool1: I spent 2+ hours on it yesterday and 3+ today. And of course, those it was for will never know it was that work-intensive and will wonder why the didn't have it a week ago.

But now I am free to have a fabulous and worry-free weekend!! Terra wants to have her picture taken and lo and behold I got a coupon from Picture People for a free pose package for our new store's grand opening. I am so excited to get a whole package and not just an 8x10!!! Then, it will be off to see Cars and a stop by the craft store. I'm excited!

Paula - apparently that money tree actually grows in the forgotten city of atlantis which they still haven't found yet but some claim they have despite what everyone says. There's rumors that if you dig a 4 foot 3 inch hole and put a dollar bill a dollar bill that's older than 1921 that's torn it half diagonally from right to left and water it once every full moon and twice in july that it'll grow in remote parts of Oklahoma. :teeth: :lmao: :teeth:

Stand by!!!

I need to get a few one dollar bills and book a flight to OK. I am sure I can get back there in July also. ::yes::

Oh Crap! The flights are all booked! Chanon don't post info like that on the net! :sad2: Now everyone who read this before is on their way to OK.:sad1: I'll just have to try for not so remote parts of N. California.

I have done a huge goof at work and it drives me crazy!! Mainly because when I goof it involves hurting a person's feelings. I mixed up the altar flower calendar and put the wrong name and information in the bulletin as to who donated the flowers this week. :guilty: Normally this wouldn't be too big of a deal but one is in memory and the one that is going up on Sunday is in celebration of their 2nd wedding anniversary. :guilty: The anniversary people are also extra sensitive and already feeling neglected over what I feel is an insignificant thing (no usher name tags, special ordered and FINALLY they came in this week!!). I've apologized profusely and I know it's my boo boo but the woman(older than me) was pouting on the phone and I wanted to tell her to grow up. I also want to keep my job so I didn't say anything. Doesn't help that I still don't feel good.

Thanks for letting me whine!!

sorry, it will be fine, just let them take a few days and it will be fine.

All right....I think I may live in a backward state!!
It was announced today that in CO it is legal to be in a common law marriage(ie you say you are married...viola you are!!) at the age of 12 for girls and 14 for boys. This I guess is English common law. It all has to do with an earlier court case of a 14 year old girl and then 34 year old man...they legally got married a year later (with mom's consent!!).

Good Morning DDA,

:wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: To all who need it

Extra :wizard: that Nick's test turns out fine

Robyn I fully understand your frustration in the situation, hang in there.

I just read in the paper that our governor has given the ok for rate increases in our homeowners insurance, mine will be going up 20.3%, not that it was any surprise. If I lived just one mile north of where I do it wouldn't be increasing, I just happen to be south of the line they used to determine the increase.

My DD called last night to let me know that my DGS fell yesterday and busted both lips and his front tooth is cracked, she is going to call the dentist today and try and get him in, please spread a little PD his way that he at least won't need a root canal. I fear this is just the beginning with accidents for him, he can be a "Wild Child". I hear he is following in his Daddy's footsteps on that one.

Well it's time to head off to work,

Have a Blessed Day,

Debbie

:wizard: for DGS.

Sorry about the increase in insurance. Our electric bill is going to raise 72% July 1 so I feel your pain as well. Our extra $20/month will make a huge dent in that! :teeth:

Now that is ridiculous! And why the difference for the girls age from the boys! Are you sure this isn't some ridiculous law that is still on the books that they need to get removed? There are ridiculous laws similar to that in every state that some crack pot pulls out every couple of years.
