I'm tired, and heading to bed, but check out my updated signature!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

My sister had her baby at 9:05 PM, June 13. I got to be there, and even cut the cord (my BIL didn't want to)! He is such a cutie!

She named him Sawyer (because it was the only boys name in the baby book her and her husband liked) Howard (after our grandpa).

7 pounds 1.1 ounce
21" long
4 hours of labor! (no typo, just four!)
:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
Cute, cute, cute, cute, cute!!!!!
He's adorable
Congratulations!

I have multi cultural hands(every color we had) after an afternoon of tie dyeing. We did shirts for the Pal Mickeys, the girls and I did shorts and shirts and Abi made a floor green. It shall be interesting at tomorrows roast to see how my hands and green nose go over!!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend!!

Amy- hope the open house brings lots of people through your house....plus at least a couple of buyers.

Anyone have a suggestion for an inexpensive digital camera? I have started looking and am so confused...all I know is I want something with a zoom lens.

Theresa,

I am sure you got some good answers, but my DH got me a Kodak easy share and I love it. since I have a son who can do a lot of things with a computer, he can scan the pictures I want and print them. If not, I would have gotten a printer as well.

Hunter just got home from school. The first thing he asked me was "Do you really think I did a good job last night". My answer was to read my post to him and all of your responses. This is Hunter now :teeth: (minus a couple of teeth :lmao: ) Thanks for helping make his day special.

Nick came home from school with a note today. My reaction was on no as school is out tomorrow, it must be bad right? Wrong. It was a note that he wrote to me thanking me for all I do for him. I absolutely didn't expect it. What a nice boy. So this is me :teeth: (I have all my teeth :teeth: )

Deb -- how wonderful to have such delightful children! You are one lucky Mom. (I suppose your parenting skills helped to make them such good boys. ;) )

With all the sad news last night I forgot to post about Hunter's last game of the season. He plays Rec league so the games are more like scrimages, but to him it was a huge game. In the first inning he was playing second base. With one out he caugt a pop fly and tagged second base to make a double play. He was so proud of himself. Because of his great outfielding the couches picked him to be up first. He had a good hit and made it to second base. He scored the first run for his team. 2nd inning he had a nice play at short stop. They reversed the batting order so he was up last. Another nice hit and he drove in a run. Third inning. His best friend was at bat and he hit a line drive to Hunter at third base. He fielded it and tagged 3rd base to get the last out of the inning. He was up first again and made it to second, then scored another run. We don't really keep score, but I know that Hunter's team killed the other team. Hunter's team batted through their order all 3 innings and the other team got 3 outs before batting through their batting order. ;) :cool1: My parents were both there and Chris's Mom, boyfriend and aunt came too. He was so happy, a very nice ending to a short season. He was floating on :cloud9: Next year they will play against neighboring towns, although we may put him in lacrosse instead.

Deb
:cheer2: Way to Go Hunter!!!! :cheer2:

Well, everyone, I may not be posting as much as usual, although I will keep up with the thread, as it's an escape from realty. John has told me he wants a divorce, and as you can imagine, I am devastated. I am scared to death of what this is going to do to our kids. He has taken them out for the day and he wants to "talk" to them tonight. They have absolutely no idea. No, our marriage has not been blissfully happy lately, but I had no idea that it reached this point. I have not told my parents, which is a phone call I am dreading. If any of you who have been through this, especially with little kids, can offer me some advice, I would really appreciate it.

Tammi,

Being a child of a divorce, I can only offer you lots of :grouphug: :grouphug: I was only 6 and really didn't know what was happening, but that was because of my father being an alcholic and it was very hard--a lot of fighting.

This is a vent and you do not need to read this, I am just up to my armpits in …..BLAH!!!

Yesterday it’s Katie has passed and today it’s mil SIL (the one in MI who has cervical cancer) has been given two weeks to two years. *** is going on!!!!

I know God has a plan and we have no clue what it is, but honestly! This is a bit much for two days. I had decided this morning that I would put my tears aside for Katie and make the day the best we could because you should live everyday to the fullest and then we get another crappy phone call. That’s it!!!! I am not answering the phone again today or tomorrow!!! Maybe I should just have the stupid thing disconnected, ok that’s not reality but wow am I done with sad news.

So here some my feelings as of now

:confused3 :grouphug: :badpc: :furious:   :sad1: :scared1: :headache: :worried:

Thank you for reading this and letting me vent.

Hi Everyone. I have caught up. I had quite a few pages to read as I've been working late the past couple of nights. I can't possibly remember everyone individually, so I am going to post a collective :grouphug: to everyone who needs one, and :Pinkbounc to everyone who needs congrats, and  to all.

The brief I've been working overtime on will finally be going out the door to the printer's tomorrow, so then I'll have my own reason for celebrating.

I came home tonight after working late and walked into a house that had just been vacuumed, the kitchen floor had been mopped, the litter box emptied and the trash taken out! I wasn't looking forward to having to any of that, so it was a great surprise (oh, and the lawn was mowed). It was Melanie and her friend Debbie. Melanie cleaned while Debbie cut the grass. So I had a chance to catch up with all of you.

Okay DDA My family needs your prayers.

A little back ground. MY brother and his ex girl friend have a son together. she also had a son when she started dating my Brother. they broke up and she moved out in Dec. My mom watches the boys from 1:30 p.m. til my brother gets off work at arounf 5 p.m.
Well Monday night he stayed late at our parents house working on his truck. so my mom took him home to shower and then drove him over to her place so he could put the kids to bed. THe ex had to stay late at work because they were coming to wax the floor at the store and they had to do it after the store closed. so she got home around 2 am. My brother then walked the mile to his house. and went to bed. When my Dad went to pick him up yesterday morn. Their was a note taped to his door. It said for him to stay away from R**** and the kids or else.Well last night my mom took him by his house to turn on the AC before she took him to R's house with the boys. She gets home and he walks home. their is a note on his door again this one saying DO you know what I am going to do to you?About an hour later one of his friends called and he walked outside to talk on his cell phone to her because he does not get good reception in his house and their is another note taped to his door. This one said BOOM YOUR DEAD. after this one he finally called the cops. He told R**** about the first note and she said she would tell one of her cop friends about it. but he was off duty.
I am really worried about my brother. I am so hoping the cops find this person before he does. The cops said that these are considered terroistic threats.
Prayers for your brother! I hope they figure this out quickly!

The girls at work gave me TURTLE soap and several other turtle things. I told them about y'all and the turtle joke, so now I get kidded about it everywhere. I think the turtle will be my mascot. Maybe I should get a turtle tatoo?

Hey Denise,

Go for it!!! :cheer2:

Thank you for all of your Birthday wishes I greatly appreciate them.

I went to Red Robin for my Birthday lunch. I got my free Whiskey BBQ chicken burger because I am signed up for their Birthday club online and they brought me a huge slice of their Mudd Pie, it was delicious. I also went to Hersheypark, I had a great time at lunch and at Hersheypark, except I got a headache, plus I happened to be a real Klutz today.

On the way out of Red Robin, I rammed my knee into a bench, at Hersheypark my ankle started giving out on me, it happened about 4 times, the one time I almost fell, I'm thinking it might have been the shoers I was wearing, as I normally wear sandals. I will have to monitor my ankle to see if it does it again, as it didn't even do this right after I sprained it last year. Since I had a headache the whole time at Hersheypark I didn't really ride any thrill rides like I normally do the only one I rode was Lighting Racer.

Getting onto the train I hit the front of my head on the roof. To top it off when I sat down on the Reese's Extreme Cup challenege I klunked the back of my head on the seat when I sat down. I don't know what was with me today but I was mighty Klutzy :confused3

Reese's Extreme Cup Challenge is like the Buzz Lightyear ride except there are two cars attached together, each car holds 4 people. One is for team Hershey bar and the other is for team Peanut Butter Cup. They are challenging against each other to see if Peanut Butter or Chocolate is better. It is a neat ride but the targets are hard to hit. Everyone gets a piece of candy at the end.

I came home and took a nap to rid myself of the headache and now I am awake and headache free as I was called by my Aunt to wish me a Happy Birthday. I hope I get back to sleep as tomorrow, I must go to work in the morning to do weekly paperwork since my manager is away and leave and then go back to close.

I really did have a good Birthday despite the headache and me being super Klutzy. :rotfl2: :lmao:

Becky,
so your birthday is June 11 same as my DD. Happy Birthday :cheer2: :cheer2:

Well, this must be the day for bad news. I just got off the phone with my dad. His cousin, and best friend, committed suicide this morning. "Uncle" Richard never married, was eccentric (that's the nicest way to put it), and didn't really have any friends other than one sister and my family. Recently, he "decided" he had cancer. However, he never got it diagnosed by any doctor. He'd been making cryptic remarks about "taking care of the problem", but we thought we'd talked him out of it.

I guess this morning, he decided he didn't want to be a burden to anyone (as if), so he went to the cemetery with his shotgun, and shot himself. My dad is really shaken up, and is now blaming himself. I tried to tell him that uncle Dick made the choice to end his life, and there was nothing more that any of us could have done. We've opened our homes and hearts to him for the last 76 years, but in the end, it was his decision. It's cold comfort for my dad, though.

I hate to see dad going through this. It was just last year that he lost his sister to cancer. He's really having a hard time. If you could add him to your prayers, I'd be grateful.

Thanks for letting me share this.

Glynis,
It has been 30 years ago but I can remember when my DH's uncle did it with a shotgun in his bathroom. He was the youngest of seven and it just devistated Pop-Pop. We all knew there was problems but it still is hard and I sometimes look at my DH and can see Uncle Bob and remember the good times thankfully. :grouphug:

One of the moms at swim team has a daughter named Caroline so I told her about our discussion last night. She said they used to live in Washington state and her daughter was often called Carolyn. She said since they moved home to La. it has never happened. Interesting!

Hi everyone! I got out of class almost 2 hours early, so i was able to catch up and visit for a bit tonight!!

Im planning on going to bed kidna early tonight and catch up on some sleep, but ill be around for awhile! hope you all had a good day
