Still not caught up reading all the posts...Hope everyone is doing well.

Daniel's first trip to a Mets game went great...Mets didn't win (score was 7-6 SF Giants in 12 innings) but what a good game! He was so excited watching the game. When Jose Reyes came up to bat, he went crazy. When he saw David Wright for the first time he was jumping up & down. Daniel just had the best time..the game ran over 4 hours & he watched every at bat with excitement. Didn't want to leave & wasn't happy the Mets lost.
Thanks for all his birthday wishes..he got a kick out of seeing all the posts for him here on the DDA. :)

did they show his name on the Jumbo tron? I know you said you had submitted it. I am glad he liked his first baseball game, even if his team did loose.

Clare,

Congratulations!!! I have my fingers crosses for the other 2.

I would love to start scrap booking but i dont know where to start. I bought a bunch of scrapbooking stuff when I was at disney. But I am a bit afraid to start.
Just jump right in. At first, it took me hours to do 1 page(a little perfection complex back in my younger years :teeth: ) but it got easier and I got a little less perfectionistic. It is fun and I can't wait to do some Disney trip pages. :Pinkbounc I just need some more Disney scrap stuff.

No, actually we got the request in too late (only the first 25 are put up there) but he didn't know anything about it so he wasn't dissapointed. He did get to meet Mr. Met before the game which was cool.

ETA:
Just started looking back thru the previous posts & saw your note about you headache & hospital visit. I am so sorry you had to go thru all that. Hope you are feeling much better now.

Denise, here's wishing :tinker: that you'll wow them in your interview tomorrow!!!! You definitely deserve the job!!!!

Too bad! He wsounds like he would have loved it.

HA and fever are gone, still having sore throat congestion and cough. We think most of it is related to my wisdom tooth which has a nice big abcess on top of it making it hard to chew food.

Vicki - That goes along with what I found on Travel Agent Central...
"Disney officials are promising something spectacular that will almost immediately follow the conclusion of the company's year-long Happiest Celebration on Earth this September. On June 7, Disney will announce the specifics at a meeting in New York City. For now, Disney spokeswoman Vicki Johnson said the "something special" set for early October "will not be an event...[but] something special to do with our resorts and people traveling there." She then added, "I can't give away too much." The Happiest Celebration on Earth is the year-long commemoration of Disney World, Anaheim's, 50th anniversary. (MJ) "

I like that idea!

ETA: You should post that link on the Theme Park Board thread!!! That'll really get people going! :thumbsup2

That's where I got the link. I was surprised no one referred to it in the replies. I was thinking about replying to it. It seemed like people just skimmed over it or something. I really like that idea over everything else that people are guessing. How cool would that be! It would be even cooler if there was something for every person that stayed at the resort (rather than just some chosen few) but that is probably expecting a lot!

Channon do you know about when the press conferene will be held.
I know nothing! (Seriously, I don't!) We did get an email today from Disney with some information but this wasn't mentioned at all. (Pulling up email...) There's a TA offer (which is a suprise because they never discount anything for us like this!), electronic brochures, dining plan extention, Cars premiere info, Disneyland 50th info, cruise specials and Southern Caribbean info, NOTHING about the big news...

I really like Vicki's link's idea. It does kind of go with the theme from the Travel Agent Central site, as well as the fesability of Disney pulling it off.

Jeff just got home with Pizza so I am going to go try to eat some. Luckily he also brought home some ice cream. So I am going to get off and let him have the computer. I will chat with yo all in the morning.
