Chuck has been really stiff and getting worse for about a month. He went to the doctor today. He has to go back to have some tests. They are looking for lyme disease, lupus or rheumatoid arthritis. I sure hope they find something treatable because he has been miserable.

Morning DDA! Just stopping by on the way to work. It's been busy the last few days, since summer is here now. Bob has softball games on Weds with the church; with me as the scorekeeper, so far they are 1-1. Tuesdays he plays golf, and he's also been going out on Saturdays now too. I may get to see him less, but that also means I don't have to "cook" dinner three nights a week. Other than that, nothing exciting on my end.
I hope everyone is doing wonderful!

Hunter was 5 and Nick was 7 when I was pregnant with Colby. They asked the same question and I answered it completely. They were not at all phased by it and probably don't remember the conversation now. I am a strong advocate of giving straight answers when asked.... I actually just called them both in the room and asked them if they remembered the conversation. Hunter did remember any of it and Nick turned red and said the didn't remember. I think Nick's information came from friends at school as he had a basic idea, but didn't have the places right :rotfl: :rotfl: He says that talking about it is totally embarassing. Hunter on the other hand listened to the facts and left it at that. I'll probably get a call from school tomorrow as They will be educating all their friends :rotfl2: At least they might get the correct information this time.

I've also heard of people redirecting the question back to their kids "We honey how do you think the baby got in my belly?"

Whatever you choose, good luck. I think it is easier earlier, as it is just biology.

Deb

I haven't posted much lately but have been dropping by to read so that I don't get too far behind, hopefully after this weekend things will slow down.
But after reading this post I have to share a family story. When my youngest DD was 3 we were visiting at the in-laws and we were sitting around looking at family picttures when my mother-in-law showed my DD a picture of my DH, my oldest DD and myself, I was pregnant in the picture so my MIL told my DD that she was in the picture too, she was in my tummy. My DD's eyes got as big as saucers and she looked at me very nervously and said " What did you do? Eat me? " :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Needless to say she brought down the house!
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

A little PD for Davis please. He vomited in the middle of dinner (twice- very fun) and is running a 104 fever now. He's missing his class meet at the park tomorrow am now. He's pretty miserable. I just ran down to finally eat some dinner and then I'm headed back to check on him. John's watching Piglet's Big Movie with him right now.

Poor Davis! I hope that he wakes up feeling much better this morning, but he must be upset about missing the meet at the park. :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

For Christmas two years ago all my kids went in and gave me the purse, wallet and small make-up bag. Of course I went my the store and filled out a wish list of the design/print that I like and several items that I wanted. You will continue to love it!!! It washes very well also.

When did these ads from Google start appearing at the top of threads? They're driving me bonkers!

I didn't even notice them. I never seem to notice banner ads (which I'm sure the advertisers don't want to hear).

My last day with the group home is June 14th, although I am only scheduled to work there this weekend and nothing else. Except they keep calling to have me work, but I keep telling them no. I don't care any more as I have an end in sight.

As for the flower pots, I now have to repaint another pot as one of them got knocked off the table at the ceremony tonight and shattered. It got knocked off during the ceremony. I know it was an accident but it frustrating none the less. Before I can paint I have to go buy another pot, as it isn't fair to the girl whose got broken since someone else broke it and they all have names on them.

Becky - I am glad that you are almost done at the group home. I know your life will be better after you can tell them all goodbye for one final time. keep telling them NO when they call too! :thumbsup2

As for the flower pot... did the person who knocked it off the table offer to pay for it? Even if it was an accident I would think that common courtesy would prevail here! That still leaves you with the work of having to do it over though. Sorry :guilty:

Dawn - I don't have any Google ads, but maybe as I read further I will discover why. Or maybe not...

Deb-- :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: for Tiffany and your male. Also, :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: for Nick that he doesn't come down with anything.

Jen--congrats on the A!!! I'm sure that you will do a terrific job on the speech next week, too. Pick something you know well.

Vicki-- :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: for Chuck! I hope they have an answer and a cure for him soon!

Jennifer-- :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: for the wisdom tooth.

Marci-- :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: for your dh!

Kate--those teacher gifts are beautiful! I think that the handprints on the apron are adorable, and I would definitely have put them on.

Well, my drama for this week is I can't find airline tickets for a decent price (all right decent to me)

My mom said she's willing to pay anywhere between $350 and $700 A PIECE for our tickets....oh my goodness I about passed out when I read that.
So I will be talking with her tomorrow and getting my tickets purchased.

I will be at the DC DDA Meet!!

YIPPEE!! :cool1:

My sister just moved south and my niece is totally into Vera Bradley - she is not that big here - but I started looking at stuff and decided to buy this backpack

I am so in love with it and I have had it less than a week - I am already starting to look for one for the fall b/c this is obviously a summer color -

I can't even tell you all how ridiculous that is b/c I am the type of girl that HATES purses and never understood why people changed them with the season or their outfits -

but this makes me want to!!!

I think the whole NW corner of Ohio is addicted to Vera.... whenever I meet ANYONE who knows my mother in law, they have one. :rotfl: Aren't they great?! Some of them can be little too much for my taste but I absolutely LOVE the solid ones, and some of the printed. Very cute choice! :thumbsup2

I love my Vera Bradley purse and have toyed with the idea of one of the backpacks too. They are VERY "in" here in Virginia. I bought the purse because I loved the print. It is the black with the pink ribbons. I love the colors. Maybe I need to take a look at her new colors too. ;)

Just dropping by to say good morning. I'm going to go catch up now.
